I came in with a small nail in my tire and was told the way the nail went in the tire couldn't be repaired, and since they can't sell me one tire and they didn't have that brand in stock , I would need to order 4 new tires . My tires are literally brand new . I went to tire warehouse for a second opinion , they repaired the tire. The nail was only into the outter rubber and plugged it which it barely needed fixed in ten mins for 10$ . This place tried to extort me to spend thousands . The guy clearly didn't want to do the minimal work ! Thank god I put the tire back on and got a second opinion . will never go here again ! DISHONEST read more

Worst place to go for repairs. I have so many stories I will try to summertime. They use scare tactics to make in needed repairs. If you don't know much about car repair they will take advantage of you. They also try and upsell every single customer. Most unethical shop I have ever been to. read more

Crystal was absolutely amazing in helping me understand the parts my car needed, walking me through costs of parts and labor (for a major repair) ordering the part, making sure the work got done as quickly as possible to save me time without a car for work. (She even called to follow up after the work was done)! Tim has consistently been a great mechanic to work with, always feel confident when he has worked on my car that it's done well and as efficiently as possible. Went in for an oil change. They gave me no time frame so I walked over to Staples to look around. They called me an hour later and said they were just taking my car in and then started listing off all these other things I probably need so I asked them to do one of the things they listed and to please rotate my tires. (They wanted to give me a whole new set of tires although I've only had the tires on my car for 18 months.) They were telling me things that I needed to do for my car and saying things like "oh you've never had this done before." Well I've never brought my car there before so how would they know I've never had it done before? They said the one thing I needed them to do which I think was repair a coolant hose and the tire rotation would be 45 minutes, so I walked back to firestone to wait. Well two hours later I was still sitting there waiting. So this is totaling about a three hour appointment which I was not prepared to spend my day doing this. Did I mention this was a Thursday at 10 AM? I don't know why they were that slow. When I finally was it done they handed me the bill which I paid but they attached to it all their work recommendations which equals $900. (!!!!) No one goes in for an oil change and ends up adding on $900 of work. They really need to work on their upsell tactics... I get they run a business but to think I'm stupid and going to hand over $1000 is a little bit insane to me and also insulting to my intelligence. It's been about a week and my car is making weird creaking noises which it definitely wasn't before and lo and behold my hubcap fell off somewhere over the past week. I've never had a hubcap fall off in the six years I've owned my car so I'm going to chalk this one up to Firestone not knowing what they're doing when performing a simple tire rotation. Total upsell and recommended un-necessary repairs.I Needed tires, I got a quote for just under $500. made an installation appointment. Then received phone call stating one of my TPMS valves had a rusted valve assembly and needed to be replaced and that my rear brakes needed replacements. Did not offer to "Turn or machine" usable rotors only offered replacements. Total bill over $800.00 Then was told RACK & PINION was leaking and needed to be replaced and multiple other so called defects including rear shocks. I was also advised that they could not do alignment due to rack & pinon condition. told them no for additional work total for "Recommended additional work" $2,000 picked up van and and went immediately to MY MECHANIC I had an oil change 5 days earlier and they found no evidence of rack&pinion leak and no requirement to add addition power steering fluid Mechanic put vehicle on lift and was advised all the additional work recommended was BS NO Play in steering system, NO LEAK, NO bad shocks and the list went on EVERYTHING additional the wanted to do was NOT NECESSARY They BLATANTLY LIED and tried to massively UP-SELL, They have lost a customer for LIFE!!!! read more

The best for prompt, polite, and HONEST service. Saturday afternoon I was driving and some road shrapnel flattened my tire. Not usually a problem if it happens 9-5, m-f. But Saturday late afternoon? The dealership couldn't do it until Monday or Tuesday, local garages were already closed for repairs...so my call to AAA was a Godsend when they recommended this place. In and out in under an hour, and under $25 for the job. The facility is immaculate, the workers are enthusiastic professionals who truly seem to enjoy their work. Went there for state inspection and they failed my 2 year old car for the emergency brake. Then charged me $80 to spray brake cleaner on the back brakes no adjustment at all "I watched them " then my car suddenly passed. I haven't been back since. I do like the Firestone tires but have since taken my tire purchases to the Enfield store. read more

I feel like it is my duty to post of my last experience at Firestone on Boston Rd..... I went to get an estimate on for new right side wheel bearing for my 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid. My brother is a mechanic and is the ONLY one that I will let touch my car! However, to change the wheel bearing you need a specific tool that he does not have. So since I was going to have to pay labor I knew that I'd most likely have to charge it on my Firestone card. Anywho, the estimate was for like $500 and something for ONE bearing!!!! Firestone said it was gonna be a 2 1/2 hour job which I knew from the start didnt sound right over 2 hours for one wheel bearing... So I dropped my car off for my 9 am appointment which they still wanted to bring me home and I said hell no if it'S an over 2 hour job I'm waiting... Anyways... My car went in at 905 am and my daughter call me at like 935am to say my car was done, I said there's no way it's done it's going to be at least 2 hours. She said mom I'm looking at it and they just pulled it out.. I walked back to Firestone from McDonalda and my car was finished!!!!!when the guy went to ring me up and charged me 579$ for my one wheel bearing I asked him if he was gonna adjust the price.... He said"for what?"... I said well u guys charged me almost 100$ an hour for labor and it only took 1/2 to fix my car. He said, no they weren't adjusting anything and they use the Mitchell labor scale... So I have checked in to this with few mechanics and the BBB in other words what they do is give u a ridiculous eatimate for 3xs longer than what it will take to fix cuz either way they will make us pay it!!!! I had to pay for 2 1/2 hour job that they knew damn well would only take not even an hour to do!!!! I feel bad for all the Srs that have been getting ripped off and don't even know better!!!!this is a disgrace that it is legal for them to do!!!!! -5 STARS ALL THE WAY!! Serious ripoff. I payed $1100 for a A/C job. They did a diagnostic test and said they can fix it. A few days later I lost the A/C. Took it back about another 5 times throughout the year and the A/C keeps running out with a hissing noise. The last time they ended up breaking the belt tensioner. They also refuse to give a refund. Then I complained to their headquarters and they came back saying the store wants me to take it to a dealership and see if they did anything wrong. If so they will pay. Here's the problem, it's not working, I payed $1100 and the dealer already said theirs no way to prove they did anything wrong unless the technician put part on backwards. If I would of done what they wanted I would've been stuck with no legal option. Stay away at all cost. They are only good for tires and oil changes. Besides that, forget it, pay the extra money and go to the dealership and avoid the court cost and headaches to get your money back! -5 stars all the way!!! read more
