Came in for an oil change and waited nearly two hours. While waiting, I asked to use the restroom. An employee told me it was "out of order" because the lights didn't work, but said I could use their flashlight and since no other options were offered- I accepted. AFTER using the bathroom, I discovered human feces on the sink, walls, toilet, and other surfaces throughout the restroom. Even though I felt like I was going to vomit everywhere, I calmy told the employee about the conditions, and instead of apologizing, he laughed and said, "Yeah, I guess it's out of order." The most concerning part is that staff appeared to know about the condition of the restroom and still directed me to use it! I called 3 days in advance to schedule a follow-up air condition service after Firestone injected dye into my Freon unit to see where a leak was coming. The summer is about to arrive and I have no air conditioning and I need to have this fixed. When I got there this morning the manager informed me that there are no technicians available for almost 2 weeks. That is absolutely stunning to me. One of those technicians was called away on an emergency and the other one is just not there. How does an auto repair specialty shop not have staffing to address basic Auto repair needs? I'm seriously second-guessing my continued patronage of this Firestone location when they do not have the foresight to schedule actual mechanics to do the work and I may need to wait for 2 weeks. Any auto shop makes me anxious. Every single person here was kind, honest and quick! I will be a regular is for service from now on. I only know Tay but I wished I got the names of the other two guys that helped. It was freezing and snowing. Sheet metal punctured my tire (discovered ant Winco) and I was of course annoyed, frustrated... all of the things. My partner was the same. We thought it was about to be an all day process since it was close to three and there was a lot full of cars ahead of us. I also thought it was about to be super expensive. Neither was true. Quick and affordable. Tay took the tire off in the lot, put on the spare, and let me leave it to be repaired/ replaced while I went home and unloaded the groceries I had in my backseat. Called twice to get status at noon and 2pm. At noon, I was the next car to get into a bay. At 2pm, my car still not touched. And he said it will be the next car in. I said that's what you said at noon. That's when I was told it will be done as requested by 5pm. I never said or stated that at the time of the appointment. Got a call at 506pm ready for pick up. Tires were not rotated. Unbelievable. I then asked what else wasn't done???? They assured the fluids were changed. After looking under the hood and carriage for leaks, One technician walked over to me to apologized. I appreciated that. Wanted to come back next day so I asked what time do you open? He said 7am. I show up at 650am. I checked the web for hours of operation and it's stated 8am opening. I waited until 715am because maybe they were gonna open early just for me. Nope. One guy arrived at 713am, had keys to the door and locked the door back behind him. So I left disappointed again. Value- very reasonable pricing. Normally tire repair in Firestone cost $19.95 but replace wheels from side to side without removing tires is $26.25 for each one? Also why I have to pay for they mistakes? Finally I said OK just do that, he said I have to wait 2-2.5 hours . My mom went in a few months ago the brakes were rubbing and they completely screwed her over. It was over $1,000 and she went to finance it through Firestone ( not new brakes it's a 2015 Cadillac ATS ) and she asked what the interest was and they told her 30% ( ridiculous, I wasn't there to stop it ). I've been paying it she is 80yrs old on social security and they swindled her. Turns out the interest rate is 89% and I've paid over $1,000 dollars so far less than $200 paid on the principal. The manager we liked retired and told us not to go there anymore there's a better place university place radiator and automotive service 253-565-4165. I now have to deal with this and Firestone did not give her a copy of the contract. Of course not if anyone saw 89% interest they would refuse. I made an appointment and it was confirmed the next morning with a friendly phone call. I came in early for my appointment and was greeted right away, Lauren was helping me and keeping me updated on my status. When she came back with the services to be performed and the price, I was extremely shocked with how expensive everything was. But I still paid for it cause I want my car to be in good shape. My main problem with this store is this: you make an appointment for 10AM; by 11:30AM they haven't even started. (We're talking oil change). They are all good guys and seem to do good work but if you're on a schedule, skip it. When I bought four tires here it took about two hours. I recently went in for a tire rotation/alignment (which I had paid for when I bought the tires) and it took about 1 1/2 hours. I called Firestone to get an alignment. I talked to Bryan on the phone who was up front and told me it may take a few hours but if I'm able to drop off in the am he could get it done for me. Took the next day off so I could get this done. Bryan was busy when I went in so I talked to Dre. I left the specs in the repair manual in case they had any trouble with it. Dre said I'll give you a call when it's done. Drove by after not hearing anything for 4 and a half hours and my van hadn't moved. I called to ask about progress and dre answered he said ugggg Bryan didn't call you? Why would Bryan call me when Dre checked me in... ok. He said we couldn't do the alignment you can come pick it up. I got no phone calls no text no email which is funny because they definitely took the time to make sure they had all my info before I left. Bottom line is their service advisors are not professional and they don't care about wasting your time. I felt like they didn't care when I checked in and I felt like they didn't care when I called and picked it up. I would recommend passing up this business. Blew out a tire on a Subaru about 5:30 pm. Called Firestone and talked to Brian who discussed the issue with me. We decided to wait until the next morning as I already had the spare on. He said he would have the new tires in house by 11 the next morning and when I arrived at 10:30, the tires were there. He took the car right in and replaced all for tires (thanks Subaru!). I was so ready to give them five stars... My wife hit a pothole and blew out a tire. Being an all-wheel drive vehicle we didn't want a one new tire that was taller than the rest, so we decided to replace all four tires. The car had to be towed in, so we didn't have the opportunity to make an appointment. That said, the service advisor was great (Brian, I think)! He was very knowledgeable about tires and was able to get them coming from the warehouse very quickly. Communication was great and he even informed me that the motor oil was low, so we also got an oil change. Again, everything was great. Until we picked up the car. Just pulling into the parking lot you could see grease handprints all over the (white) vehicle. Upon closer inspection we noticed there had been no valve caps installed. The wheels were FILTHY! Covered in grease and something white that appears caustic. The steering wheel was also covered in grease and the stereo was turned up to nearly full volume. We went directly to the car wash to clean the exterior and there was zero improvement. I tried wiping one wheel with a rag to no avail. I plan on using some degreaser and wheel cleaner tonight to see if that will remove the mess. I'll post some pictures, too. Bottom line, service and pricing were great. However, someone needs to keep an eye on the techs and check their work before returning the vehicle to the customer. I've never received a vehicle back from any service in as poor condition as this. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED FOR UNNECESSARY SERVICES. Completely unhappy with the service received today. My boyfriend and I went in to get his car an oil change and to figure out why his check engine light is on and to get that issue fixed. Bryan helped us and we told him that the check engine light is on and that we wanted to get that checked and fixed. He said there's a $10 check up they can do and so we trusted his word and went with his suggestion. We asked to be contacted once the vehicle was ready for pick up. He said ok. A few hours later, he lets us know what the check up showed and the grand total would have been around $400 if we agreed to all the recommended services. My boyfriend and I are expecting our first child so, for our little family, $400 is a lot of money in regards to our budget. We asked what is necessary, assuming that these services would fix the check engine light from being on, and he suggested two services that would be under $300 total (including the oil change). We trusted his word again and went with those services. We needed the car to use during the day so we asked when he thought it'd be complete, we were told we would be given a call around 12:30pm or when the vehicle would be ready for pick up. 4pm rolls around and we received no call. My boyfriend calls and the female that answered the phone said we were given a call earlier in the day for it to be picked up. My boyfriend said we didn't receive a call. We get there to pick up the car, the lady that helped us earlier again said she called us. My boyfriend shows her his call history and says we didn't get a call and she just brushes it off like we were in the wrong. Very unprofessional. I ask, will the check engine light still be on. The lady then says that it may still be on. I was livid. I explained that the entire reason we agreed to todays services was to fix the reason why the check engine light was on. She said that we should have done a diagnostic check up which is $99.99 instead of what we did today. Why wasn't this explained to us earlier when we asked about what is necessary to fix the check engine light from being on? They are the professionals so we trusted their word. They let us down. I was polite, but was extremely upset that we trusted Bryan's suggestions, thinking he would actually help us and our situation, but then found out that he was just being a salesman trying to sell us useless services and could care less about what we really needed which was fixing the check engine light from being on. We feel bamboozled out of our hard earned money and time because they had our car for practically an entire Saturday (from 8am-4pm). I feel like they were all nice and dandy when they were trying to get us to agree to services, but once we agreed they could care less about us and the kindness and customer service went out the door. I took my truck in to get an alignment done. I paid $200 for the lifetime alignment package. I had an appointment at 12:00 pm and was told that it would take about an hour to get done. When I came back around 1:30 pm the clerk (who is a complete beta of a person and knows nothing about his job) told me it would be only a few minutes. At 2:00 pm the clerk came up to me and told me that my alignment was way off when I brought it in and they were trying to figure out what to do... At 3 pm (3 hours later) they came up and told me that they couldn't correctly complete the alignment because their ceiling isn't big enough and their lift can't get my truck tires off the ground. If their ceiling was not big enough or the lift not strong enough, both of which are blatant lies, why wasn't I told as soon as they found out rather then 3 hours later? This place is bogus. Bad business, bad workers, bad everything. DO NOT GO HERE!!! What???????? Not only is their ceiling high enough to lift my truck up and have someone walk under it, when I GD originally returned at 1330 MY TRUCK WAS ON THE LIFT AND OFF THE GROUND! read more

We scheduled a tire rotation online. We go in for our scheduled time and they said that they were too busy and declined the appointment. No phone call. No email. No communication at all! I'm as mechanically inept as they come, but one day when getting new tires over at Discount Tire and knowing I needed an oil change, I called Firestone. They were able to get me right in and the gal behind the counter was super sweet. Unlike other places they don't talk to me like I'm stupid and listen to my concerns about my car and what I've been told by friends and family that are mechanically inclined. Such a crappy location! We made an appointment Wednesday then they tell us they don't have enough technicians to bring it on Saturday morning so we did we needed the water pump changed and the thermostat we called around noon to check the status and they said that they had to send back the thermostat because something was wrong but the person we talked to said that the water pump was already changed there's an empty box sitting in front of him. 4 comes around we call back and they say it doesn't look like it's going to be done today but for sure tomorrow by 11 so Sunday we call around 10 to check the status and they said the part was taken to the wrong shop but it will be done for sure by the end of today 1:00 comes around and my husband told them that we need the car today if it's not going to be done just leave the thermostat alone and will bring it back a different day. My husband gets over there at 3 o clock and they said that they haven't done anything the car's been sitting there since Saturday morning... that they kept on taking the walk-ins instead of working on our car which actually had an appointment and that the manager okay'd it!! Wtf kind of way to run a business. My husband had to miss his shift at work for absolutely nothing and now has to miss another shift to take it elsewhere! I'm very upset. Once again 6th ave Firestone comes through. After my not-so-great experience with this Firestone involving an o2 sensor and serpentine belts (previous review) I felt their service was not up to par. I posted here on Yelp and was soon contacted by Corporate. They were willing to do whatever was necessary to set things right. First good news. I was soon contacted by Jeanette, the store manager. She explained the background of how things went wrong, being mostly that she had been away due to an accident at the shop and others were covering for her. She was very understanding and apologetic and really sought to improve the situation. She surprised and delighted me by offering a complete refund on all the service that had occurred, not just the areas I had complained about. Way to win back and delight your customers! I've always maintained that it's one thing to make mistakes, but it's in how we handle them that really sets us apart. This Firestone did it right. It's managers like Jeanette who really care about the shop they're running that make all the difference in automotive shops. This is what I've consistently noticed at this Firestone, their level of customer service and quality of repair have been very good, and at competitive prices. I recommend this Firestone to my friends. I paid the 55.00 and then while having issues the next day, I looked at the receipt and realized they did standard oil. After calling them, they made me pay another 84.00 to fix their mistake because I signed a " take as is" on my receipt. I'll tell everyone I know. NOT smart to tell someone who wants to take advantage of you in the auto industry. To replace two hoses for the power steering they charged over $400.00 for parts and service.. I called another place after we paid cause I knew that was outrageous. I called a place named "9999 Auto Repair" , for how much they would charge, they said "$180.00 for parts and service". Came in to get some work done and am very pleased with the work performed. They took the time to explain what was worn with the truck, and what needed to be addressed immediately. They also gave me warnings of things that will be needing attention in the future, but we're not critical. They quoted me a time the truck would be ready, and they met that time hack early. Courteous staff, clean waiting area, bathroom was clean. Only thing I would improve would be the seats in the waiting area... They are rock hard and super uncomfortable. I came in after the Lakewood Firestone replaced a right control arm and left a bolt loose. The 6th Ave store went above and beyond the realign my car and fix the mess that the other store had created. I explained how I had been driving near seattle the night before and had a bolt fall off my car, causing my tire to be uncontrollable. I waited for 3 and a half hours for a tow and then had les schwab fix the problem in the morning. Les schwab recommended I have firestone fix my alignment since it was their stores fault. Unfortunately I had to be at a dress rehearsal in seattle by 11 and les schwab was saying it wasn't fully safe to drive until my alignment was done. They squeezed me in after first calli ng every store in the area to see if they had room. Excellent customer service, and now I feel safer driving on the road. read more

Very rude and lame service. I had tires shipped from Tirerack.com to be installed. I had some new splash guards that I asked if they could install real quick while the tires were off. The service guy said he "didn't have time" it literally takes 5 mins to put the flaps on. Quite frankly they were not that busy and taking a cigarette break when I arrived. I even said I would gladly pay and they refused. I would never come back here again. Sad business sense here... I also witnessed the customer service representative turn away someone who had problem with prior work that they did. He wasn't even willing to go the extra mile to be of assistance. I've gone to them for the last couple oil changes and the customer service and quality of auto care has been variable, depending on the day. I can't imagine what drop-in service is like, because I always schedule my appointments. The first time I visited, the service was prompt and the customer service was exemplary. This last time I visited wasn't so. They were running behind and didn't say anything until I called to check up on my vehicle after about 3 hours (which is a while for a simple oil change). They said they hadn't started on it due to unexpected difficulty with another vehicle but would get to it right away. When I called at 4.5 hours, they said they would have it available in another half an hour. When I arrived to receive it, it was not ready for me for another half an hour. After a grand total of 5.5 hours, I finally got my car back. The customer service wasn't what I expected. There was no apology, no acknowledgement of them having my car for an extended period of time. Overall they're a good place to get an oil change - they seem to be knowledgeable and, when prompted, teach you about your vehicle. The quality of service is good as far as I've seen, but the customer service seems to depend on the day. read more
