rear brake pads said to be at 0. Totally possible, but rotors definitely not grinded.

I went to Firestone today to save money on my brakes. I had two issues. One was a nail in my tire, the other was rear brake replacements. I was informed after the tire was removed that it was a "run flat tire" and although they saw the nail they couldn't replace it because it was a run flat. I asked my guy friend, he had never heard of that term. Also, the tire treads were good and still thick. I was told I needed four new tires for my 2021 Audi and I could easily do this with their credit card. I declined. The next issue was my brakes. I was told the pads were at zero and rotors grinded down. The manager lady offered to show them to me. It seemed in hopes I would say no. I chose to see them because I had not heard grinding. I walked over to the technician and asked him to show me the rotors, and he said that I would probably not be able to see them until he took them off. I said, well how do you know they are grinded down metal to metal if you haven't seen them? He said it was behind the wheel thingy. However, my wheels were already off and on the floor and so I believe that the rotors were right there. His friend laughed like he was caught. I waited for him to take the entire rotor off to show it to me. And I have included a picture. He said that they were not grinded at all. He then gave me an explanation about how I needed to have the roters changed because the new brake pads cannot be cut. It was circular talk. I let the manager Chrismery Estrella know that they should not say that rotors were grinded down if they were not and should instead say they had to change the rotors because they cannot cut brake pads. I said as a woman who is not familiar with car repair you should really say exactly what the issue is and not say one thing and then change it when I actually view the rotor. I went ahead and got the brakes changed because I had already spent two hours waiting. But I am confident that my rotors did not need to be changed because they are not damages at all. Also I googled whether this was a requirement for audi q3 and it says no. I do know that google is not everything, but it appears that they didnt need to be changed and this was a misleading upsell. Ultimately the tech told me the rotors were grinded down without even looking at them. When I questioned it, he then gave another reason that I needed new rotors. As a woman this did not feel like a safe space for someone who is not informed about cars. Here is a picture of my rotors... let me know if they actually needed to be replaced. I will not be able to recommend this place, $637 later for rear brakes and rotors and tire still with a nail. Also, the woman manager never came out again to complete my order. She assigned someone else who continue to say that my rotors were run down because the pads were at zero. I asked him as well if he has seen the rotors, he said no and processed the rest of my order in silence. Let me just say the only reason that I completed this order was because I had wasted time here and I had a very busy week left with the holiday. It is not the price, it is the principal and good business practices that need ro be considered before coming here. Unfortunately, I read the reviews after I had this problem.

BEWARE: I went here for the $21 oil change. Went on Yelp and read the reviews so I knew what I was walking into. So based on the reviews I checked all of my tires thoroughly, which only have 20,000 miles on them, and they were free of any damage prior to going. I drove 2.5 miles to their location and while at Firestone I am told that I have a huge screw in my tire in an irreparably location (see picture) and it's going to cost me $200+. The odds of that actually accidentally happening in 2.5 miles is beyond belief. So you be the judge. Update: I have responded to Firestone's request, as seen below, without any real resolution on their part. 2nd Update: Received a phone call from the district manager and he sincerely wanted to make things right, so that was good. I will update again when he follows-through on the jester to make it right.

    Incompetence to say the least.

I know alot about my car and parts and labor etc I just cannot do the work myself. My car hit 70k and I decided to keep the car longer due to current car market conditions so I decided do some maintenance on it. O2 sensor, Leak Detection pump, fuel vent line, MAP Sensor, spark plugs, coils. He did it all. I had about 4 codes that were constantly popping up due to these issues and Reuben was able to help me fix everything on the car. He is very knowledgeable (especially about european cars) and honest. He came to my home so I could actually watch him replace the parts which was a bonus for me. He is very professional and respectful. You never know what these guys do when you take it to the shop. He has previously worked for BMW dealership and has a wealth of experience. I had an issue where I bought the part and he installed it but then the codes came back. He came to my house to re-diagnose it as bad parts. He took the part back out, I had to send the parts back and get a replacement part and he came back out again to replace the replacement part. He did not ask me for any additional money. I paid him some at least gas money out of kindness in return. He certainly could have ask for more. You can ask him any questions and he will answer. He is old school honest man without the old school mentality. He can talk and work at the same time unlike some other mechanics. He is a very good mechanic. Very straight forward and no beating around the bush. Hard to find someone like this. I won't use anybody else. If you're having car problems, give him a call.

A few months ago, I flew out to visit my son at college and discovered his first car needed front-end repairs. As a new driver, this was a stressful situation for him, and as a parent living out of town, I wanted to make sure he was treated honestly and fairly. From the moment we walked into the shop, Tyrell made all the difference. Tyrell was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. He took the time to explain everything in a way that both my son and I could understand. He was also funny and personable, which immediately put us at ease during what could have been a stressful experience. Most importantly, he earned our trust right away. He worked with us on the price, helped us understand the repairs that were needed, and treated my son with respect. As a parent, that's something I greatly appreciated. It's not easy handing over your child's first car for repairs when you're not familiar with the area, but Tyrell made us feel confident that we were in good hands. In fact, after I returned home, my son needed another repair. The reason I told him to take the car back to this same NTB location was because of the positive experience we had with Tyrell the first time. Finding someone you can trust in the automotive repair industry is invaluable, and Tyrell has earned that trust. Thank you, Tyrell, for taking such good care of my son and treating us like valued customers. Your customer service is exceptional, and you are a tremendous asset to National Tire & Battery. Exceptional employees deserve to be recognized, and I want to make sure he knows the positive impact he had on both my son and me. Meeting someone with Tyrell's character, professionalism, and genuine concern for customers is rare, and we are truly thankful that our paths crossed.

So far no problem. However the person that called said they did not have an exact match, but would put on a Hancook tire that was a notch above what I had. When I went to pick up the car, I found out that they put on a Mavis branded tire. I complained to the desk, but all he kept saying was that Hancook made their tires, and the supervisor apologized for not telling me it was not going to be a Hancook branded tire. The tire they put on has an increased milage warranty, but, and this is the big thing, at the expense of less capable wet weather performance. So in wet weather braking, expect unbalanced performance. Buyer beware. Will not be going back to this shop, even though it was close to home. My family's safety is not worth the risk.

I've had this positive experience not just once, but three times! My first visit occurred at the beginning of this year, 2026, when I bought two tires for my 2019 RAV4. The team took excellent care of me from the front desk all the way through the end of the service. They were professional and efficient. Next, my GLC 350e needed front tires replaced, and once again, the team provided outstanding service. As soon as I arrived, I felt welcome and confident that I had chosen the right place for my family's and business needs. Andrew did a fantastic job and delivered excellent customer service. Today was my third visit, and it was just as impressive. The service was super-fast and friendly. They listened to my questions and answered all of them thoroughly. Initially, I considered driving my trailer to the shop, but after speaking with George on the phone, I explained the situation regarding my old, cracked tires. He recommended that I bring only the tires because driving the trailer could be dangerous, especially since my house is only five miles away. Thankfully, I took George's advice, and when I arrived at the shop, he inspected the tires and said, "I'm glad you didn't drive the trailer because these tires are very dry rotted." I hadn't used the trailer in at least five years. I am so grateful to have chosen the right shop to assist me and my family. I would like to thank the entire team at the Tire Choice store in Wesley Chapel, especially George and Andrew. When I arrived, I waited about 30 minutes before being told they couldn't patch the tire -- which was already something I was aware of. I explained that I had scheduled the appointment for a replacement, not a patch, and they then informed me that I needed two tires replaced. I agreed and understood that adding a second tire could take a little extra time. However, I was originally told the replacement would take around 30-45 minutes, and my vehicle ended up taking about 1 hour and 40 minutes. I understand delays can happen, but I made it clear that I had an appointment later in the day and was already concerned about timing. Once I mentioned that I was going to be late, my tires were suddenly finished almost immediately. The most frustrating part was what happened after I left. After paying $377 for two brand-new tires, I noticed that they had not even been properly filled with air. The back left tire was at only 24 PSI and the back right tire was at 27 PSI. Having just purchased new tires, this was extremely concerning and unsafe. I had to immediately find an air pump to correct the tire pressure myself. I understand that mistakes happen, but after paying hundreds of dollars for a service, I should not have to immediately perform basic maintenance that should have been completed before handing my vehicle back. A tire replacement should include properly installed and properly inflated tires. This experience was frustrating, inconvenient, and honestly made me question the quality and safety checks being performed.
