So I took my truck in because I was having heater issues after putting in some stop leak as I was informed by another Firestone location that I needed to replace a intake manifold gasket and with labor and parts was going to cost just under $600. So I tried going a cheap route and messed up my heater. I explained the situation to the manager at this location and he suggested a coolant flush to start with and that might clear the system because something may have been clogged. After that did not work I was than advised that the next step was a diagnostic to see if they could pin point the blockage. So I ok'd the diagnostic work and after about 5 hours they came up with recommendations of replacing the waterpump, thermostat, and cabin air filters to hopefully resolve the heater issue. I asked him how much that would be and he quoted me between $700-800. And out the door with the flush, diagnostic, waterpump,thermostat, and filters with labor around $1200. So I told him I would have to wait until the weekend to have the work done, and paid for the flush and diagnostic work, $230. Upon reaching out to our Granddaughter's boyfriend who is a mechanic and explained the situation and showed him the paperwork from Firestone he offered to try something as simple as blowing out the lines to the heater with water and air and low and behold my heater now works like brand new, without a new waterpump, or thermostat. He even put in new cabin filters that cost $20 at Auto zone which Firestone wanted to charge me $168 to replace those by themselves. In the end my point is this. Firestone is great for buying tired and oilchhanges but be CAREFUL if you are getting more done and don't be afraid to get another opinion. I'm really disappointed in Firestone as I have been going to them for years and honestly just don't know what to say, they are supposed to have Master mechanics/ techs there but makes me wonder what's really going on. read more

Went here grab a light bulb for a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. This bulb is easier to put in than a house light bulb lol. Takes all of 2 minutes and they wanted to Charge almost 200 dollars for it . It's total scam and I do not recommend this place. Grease monkey just sold me the bulb but if you want it installed there it's like 30 buck. I would avoid this scam Firestone is running. read more

Firestone, in Thornton on 120th & Colorado Blvd: (home of the all day oil change) We made a 7am appointment for an oil change, they said it would take about and hour to complete it. Called back after 2 hours at 9am, was told they haven't started it and would not until 10 or later. I had originally told them due to other plans they needed to have it done by 9am. I told them I couldn't wait and was coming to get my truck, the Manager handed my key to me without saying a word or apologizing. I said thanks for nothing. He than opened the overhead door and yelled you don't need to rude about it, I said that because I felt I was owed an apology for our wasted time. They are unprofessional and over priced. There is absolutely no reason to come here. Not sure why they bother making appointments because timing doesn't matter here. My car wasn't put up until 45 minutes after my appointment time and it took over an hour to switch out my winter tires. I don't plan on coming back and would advise others to steer clear. read more

I have been doing business with you for YEARS .Came in a couple weeks ago for oil change and air filter, windshield wipers. When I left I smelled oil but thought you spilled a little on the engine. My engine/oil light came on on my way home from work. My neighbor and I popped the hood to find out there's no dipstick or oil cap, no oil now at all, all my fluids that were supposed to be topped off are freaking dry and my air filter is filthy. I have a 91 year old neighbor who knows little about cars. He gets taken advantage of the moment he walks into a garage and now Firestone jumped on the band wagon. He purchased a new set of tires and specifically instructed them- that's all he wanted. Without permission they performed other various services. His bill was $415 more than he approved. They bullied him into the additional charges despite approval. I have done dozens of brake jobs in my lifetime and changed countless tires. Never before have I had to use more than a four way lug wrench or a cheater bar. (The recommended torque specs on these lug nuts is 80 ft/lbs) These lug nuts were tightened well beyond 120 ft/lbs. Consequently, I had to use a breaker bar to loosen them as the four way lug wrench wouldn't do the trick; nor would my impact wrench. Ultimately, two lug studs broke as a result of torque necessary to remove them. The process to remove the broken studs and purchase a new set is asinine and unnecessary. A total joke of incompetence on Firestone's part. How was an old man supposed to accomplish this task on the road even with assistance? I'm furious with the 'mechanics' at this shop and judging from the other reviews, their incompetence is beyond extreme. I'd suggest Firestone include Tire Change 101 for Dummies in their basic training. read more

Took my car here for a simple patch job on Thursday. That some how got botched and leads to me now needing a new tire of course. So I was there first thing Saturday 8am in the morning was told it would be a few hours(specifically told 4 hours) and guess what didn't get my car fixed let alone a phone call for what was going on. So I show up the next day to see what's going on and they tell me they sorry can't your tire tell Monday maybe. So I ask for my car back so I can go somewhere else and part of my door handle falls off which wasn't a issue before I left with them. Alls this place has done is damage my car and the only response I get from the front desk lady is maybe you shouldn't drive over nails. I scheduled an appointment for an alignment for my car. Needed this done right away. Show up to my appointment 30 minutes early. The guy at the counter stated they had no appointments for me and would be closing early. After showing him my confirmation email, he still stated he would not do any work tonight. Let me start by saying I used to work for one of Firestones competitors so I understand the difficulties that come with the industry. having to leave my car there for the day, i get it, They are busy and there is a labor shortage. It's a tough job so I was calm and patient as possible. I spent 20 minutes on the phone setting up an appointment and the very end that's when the new guy on the phone tells me there's some impact report charge they have to do. If there's a fee you can explain, I'll pay it. When I asked, he put me on the phone with the store manager. All i wanted was to understand why they had charge me this fee and what was involved in this impact report. The store manager couldn't explain it. All he had to say was "there's nothing I can do, and if you don't like it, go somewhere else" (I am not exaggerating that last part) If the store manager doesn't care about his business that much, how much do you think his employees care? read more

Every time I go in there for a alignment they come up with 10 different problems with my vehicle. The cost of these problems add up to thousands. Scams.... I take the car to my mechanic and he does the simple repair for free with annual maintenance. Consumer beware... what you think you save you lose in the scam. I believe that Firestone took advantage of my wife's trust in their ability to provide accurate information and to perform the appropriate repairs on the vehicle. After looking at the diagnostics, the techs chose to recommend a tune-up but the vehicle performance was worse after the work than prior to taking it to Firestone. When asked about this, we were told that Firestone did not have the appropriate tools to do a comprehensive fix. Note that the car is a 2007 Audi Q7. The car's check engine light came on and was taken, by my wife, to Firestone. We have been taking our cars (6 over the years ) here for more than a dozen years and usually good to excellent service; this was not the case this time. I trusted Firestone to identify and perform the appropriate work on the vehicle due to our loyalty and I trusted Firestone to provide accurate information to my wife since I was out of town and could not take it in myself. She was told it needed a tune up and agreed to the service. The tune up involved replacing spark plugs and what we presumed ignition coils. This was not the case. The check engine code was for cylinder misfire (#6 and #8). When it was returned it ran worse and the light was still on. She returned the car to Firestone and was told that there was another cylinder misfire (#1). I declined the work and the car was returned to her. When I returned home I checked in to the work that was done. I called them and asked to discuss the work and was told: The ignition coil #8 was moved to #1 and #6 was not replaced. This only moved the problem but did not fix it. The original recommendation for a tune up did not take into account the condition of the spark plugs, the recommendation was made merely on the car's age and mileage. The recommendation for a tune up resulted in a $600 bill that did nothing to address the issue for which the car was brought in. I discussed all of this including the potentially unnecessary work and the cost for parts with Firestone. Specifically, I felt they took advantage of a female patron and the excessive markup on parts is unacceptable. The mark up on spark plugs: $9.99 up to $42.99. Mark up Ignition coil: $18.99 to $70.99. The technician I spoke with said he would have the manager call me back when he returned to discuss my concerns. I did not receive a call but I did receive a bill. I can get my vehicles serviced anywhere but chose Firestone for their honesty and service. After today I will not be returning. I did some research on error codes and this vehicle specifically and found that the ignition coil is prone to failure. I purchased a $20 coil and replaced in 5 minutes, this resulted in the Engine light turning off and the car is running better than before I brought it in. So, If you're thinking of going to this Firestone, reconsider. read more

DO NOT BOOK APPOINTMENT ONLINE!! There was no recourse for a non-confirmation of an appointment. I gave them more than 24hrs notice to confirm my appointment. I was told the slot I had requested and confirmed on the website was available. They couldn't fit me on until over 48hrs after my requested time slot, and they wanted me to leave the car all day. Not a business to patronize via what is supposed to be a convenient portal for all involved. Very poor website. I took my car in for an alignment and they said they could not do the alignment and gave me a estimate for $2000. There was a list of things that they said needed to be fixed. I took it to anouther shop that has done work for me for over 10 years and that I trust. Big O Tire at Washington and 120th. I dropped it off fully expecting to have the items on the estimate from Firestone done but the manager called me and told me that there was nothing wrong with anything that they told me was broken. They don't do the work that you take your car in for and then say they do. My wife took our van in to get the tires rotated. They had the van pretty much all day and then said it was as ready. When I got home from work and looked at the van, I knew immediately that they didn't rotate the tires because the right front had worn on the outside. If the tires were rotated, that tire should have been moved to the rear. When I took it back the next day the manAgee told me he watched them do it. I told him I could prove they didn't but he just kept saying "I watched them rotate them. When I got home I found their courtesy check even said on it "no rotation". The time before that I took it in for an alignment and rotation, I suspected them of not rotating the tires, but that time I couldn't prove it. I think that is why my tires wore out prematurely. Bottom Line. I would never get any thing done to my cars at this shop. read more

VERY BAD service. A year ago I bought some tires there, they asked me to left the car for a couple of hours to put them on. I didn't have another car and I was out there wasting time, I came back after 2 hours and they didn't start yet, when I returned they didn't start immediately, they started doing it after 30 minutes and I guess they didn't even check it properly. A few weeks ago I had a flat tire, I went and they told me I had to make an appointment, they gave it to me for Monday of the following week, a Saturday before they called me to confirm my appointment for Monday. I arrived on Monday and everything was closed and a sign that they only open from Tuesday to Saturday, I thought I made a mistake and went on Tuesday, they told me that my appointment was for Monday and I told them that they did not open and they said "oh yes We don't open on Mondays, I don't know why they gave it to you for that day". Again I had to make another appointment and wait more days. The day of the appointment I arrived, they spent 30 minutes before they start checking my tire, and they told me that the guarantee applies but that they have to change the 4 tires and not just the flat one and I had to pay 500 dollars and wait another week for them to change it, I did not understand why I had to change it the 4 tires if only one was flat and also had the insurance that they themselves had sold me. I do not recommend them at all, if I could I would give them zero stars. read more

We purchased 2 lifetime alignment packages from this location, brought our cars in 2 days later for alignments and purchased a 3rd alignment package for my brothers car as well. I book an appointment a week ahead of time took the vehicle in today . I was told it would be completed by late in the day . When I called checking the vehicle's status they told me that couldn't complete the service because they didn't have enough personnel. My choices were to leave it for work tomorrow or reschedule . After 6+ weeks for driving around in the snow (yeah, that's how long Denver/ Boulder area has had snow on the ground) I finally decided to get snow tires on my car. There is a 9' pile of snow on the side of my garage and an ice rink in front of it. It's slip-n-sliding time! This Firestone didn't carry my tire size. But Jeremiah at the store located it within a couple of days. And yes, my tires here were less expensive than Costco, Discount, and Big O tires. I had to wait an hour for them to install it, but it was worth it. One minus for the "disposal" fee they charged me, even though I brought my almost new tires home to use in the summer. If you are still driving around in your all season tires, give Firestone a call and be safe. read more

I was going out of town, and my spare tire needed to be replaced. They had to order the tire from another store, so I left the wheel and tire with them. Twenty-four hours later, I returned to pick up my new tire. The old one was still sitting right where I had left it. The salesman had neglected to order the tire, and had gotten fired for some other indiscretions. There was no communication whatsoever. Another salesman was helpful and located the tire at a different store, but I had to drive from Thornton to Longmont shortly before closing time to stay on schedule to leave in the morning. It cost me extra time and money for what should have been a simple task. I expected more from tire professionals. read more

Would not recommend this establishment to my worst adversary. They refused to do my balance and rotation and just did the alignment since it's been paid for. These guys are a joke and would never recommend them to anybody. Per RYAN, which is the rude guy that answers the phone " You have to understand just because you made an appointment does not mean we will have time to look at or fix your car ". Then why make an appointment Ryan ? Made an appointment Tuesday for Sunday. Let them know time constraints. Was told no problem. Called 3 times to check on status, was told has not been looked at yet. Was called at 12:30pm. Was disrespected by RYAN and was told how I was wrong and so on. Went and got my truck telling RYAN not to touch my truck. With him being rude and disrespectful why would I want to spend any of my money there. RYAN is extremely rude and does not know how to treat people or customers. Because of RYAN I will no longer use any of the Firestone shops for business or personal. I've been spending about $4k plus a year for the last 10 years. Even with that I bet I get the same generic response as everyone else !!!! Also people should keep in mind it is against Colorado law for them to keep your car for refusing payment. They can take you to court for payment and or fill a lien in court. read more

I pulled into this store because it was the closest firestone when I had an emergency on January 7, 2016. My temp gauge shot up to high when I was in a drive thru just 300 feet away... My car had been seen 3 weeks earlier by the firestone at 128th & Huron for a completely different issue (drive train). I felt my car could not make it to that location. The crew at 120th & Colorado diagnosed my car needing a new water pump. A water pump and a thermostat later they said my car was "ready". On the drive home, I immediately noticed a rougher idle than in the 17 years I had the car--whatever minor issues it had, idling had never been an issue. I got the car home and pulled it into the garage. There is where I also clearly heard some "clicking" noise from the engine I never before heard, in addition to rough idle, also never before experienced. I tried to call the store--there was no answer and no answering service. I will try tomorrow morning but m very concerned. I have taken great care of my vehicle and have had all maintenance checks, etc. I love my pathfinder-- it's the best vehicle ever-- and I am very concerned. I will revise this review based on further info. Nathen was accommodating but I don't think my car is fixed properly. Addendum: After more work (another full day--where they said they wanted to add even more parts that were never broken, after initial "repair", they towed from this facility to "my" Firestone at approx. 128th & Huron, where my favorite team of mechanics fixed it without any additional parts. That was early January and today is April 8-- and it's runninglike the dream it is. I would not recommend anyone take their vehicle to the store on 120th & Colorado unless it is for the simplest of services like tires. 4/8/2016 - I see there is a comment/request for additional info like invoice numbers, etc. from Firestone in response. I had to put fix-a-flat in my tire in order to get to their shop. They told me it would be three hours, after the second hour they told me it couldn't be fixed and I had to pay $140 for a brand new tire I bought for $70 three months earlier. Went to discount tire down the street. Discount had it fixed within 30 minutes and did it for free. read more

I went in today because one of the tires i bought from Firestone in 2014 had a leak. I did not know if I'd have to buy a new tire - or get a new set of tires even. But they were able to patch the tire and send me on my way in about an hour. Even though it was a busy Saturday - they fit me in and there was no charge. You can't beat service like that. My daughters car had a flat tire tonight at 515pm. Great time to get a flat on a already bad tire we were nursing along. We had bought the tires at this location 20K miles ago and I was pretty upset that her Lexus had ruined them so fast. The problem is this wonderful car has AWD and if one tire goes all 4 need to be replaced. We were pretty upset about this that's why we had let the rear tires get so bad . To make matters worse the front tires were still in great shape. So we needed 4 new tires we had no choice. I called and talked with Doug he told me to bring it in tonight and we would figure it out. Not only did they get the new tires put on in 45 minutes they prorated the ties and saved me a lot of money. They could have charged me full price and I would have paid it.
