I drive between Orange County and SB often and had gotten some repairs done at the firestone at Costa Mesa and have not had the best of luck with that store (brake work done twice in the past month there and continue to tell me that things they notice don't need to be worked on even though they break a week later see my review of that store if you wish) however thank goodness this firestone was more diligent and customer oriented to make sure that when I leave my car will actually survive the roads. Leon was beyond helpful in making sure that my anxiety over almost crashing on the freeway was settled and because of the issues offered to cover the costs. Would highly recommend if you're nervous about making sure your cars in working order as Leon will make sure you are in good hands read more

Had my brother take in his vw for wheel balance and walked out with a stripped lug bolt. They blame that's how it came out looking at the lug bolt only the tip is stripped and when I try to drive in the bolt into the hub it goes in at an angle. All I wanted was to get a hold of a manager, the kids that work behind the counter are very unprofessional, Every time I called the manager wasn't there! All they had to do admit fault it and replace the hub. Go there if u want them to break ur car! I'd never go there again . read more

Highly recommend these guys. I ordered tires over the phone in the morning. Got a call the same day that the tires were in. Made an appointment & the were installed in an hour! All 4 people I spoke with & dealt with in person were honest, straightforward & efficient. Nice guys. Great prices. I will definitely come back here for future car needs. read more

Been to this location several times in the last year, and each time the service I've received has been exceptional. They've contradicted the advice I've got from the local dealer, which has saved me money. They've found deals and offers for me which again, has saved me a few dollars. The work done on my car has been performed completely and thoroughly. And the staff there seem cheerful and friendly; another unexpected discovery for an auto shop. It's nice to find and automotive repair and maintenance shop that actually exceeds expectations and delivers. The staff and management of this particular location should be congratulated. Highly recommended. read more

I have always loved this store and have been a happy customer here for years. I have been helped by some fantastic managers such as Jackson and Ron from several years ago. But now there is a new manager named Bradley. I have received absolutely terrible service from him and I will be having my cars serviced elsewhere from now on. Last week I was told that a battery that I needed would absolutely be delivered to them by no later than noon. So I arrive at 12:30 to give them a little cushion but the battery still hasn't arrived. Ok, so things do happen so I decided to return another time. I returned today for that same battery pulse an oil change, alignment, tire rotation and wheel balance. After waiting around my car is finally ready but when I arrive they didn't do the wheel balance and couldn't have it done for another three hours. So now I have to return in two days and sit around for another hour waiting for them to do what should have been done tomorrow. read more

Takes too long and wouldn't recommend coming back. I called to see if there was a wait for an oil change . They replied there wasn't any wait , and when I got there there were cars parked everywhere and time was very valuable to me at the time . A manager named Bradley insured my car will be ready in 45 ~ to an hour . Fine . Excellent I said. I return 45 minutes and my car hasn't even moved from where I parked it . . . Fantastic . I decided to walk in to show that they haven't been doing what they were suppose to. My presence made the manager realize my car hasn't been moved ... He starts yelling at he mechanic. Unprofessional and poorly handled . F-. Terrible . You don't yell at your mechanic for your mistiming . Such high hopes and good vibes turned to shit . Then the manager decides to throw a little attitude , cool. Never coming back here and i immediately pulled out my weapon. And cocked it and Pressed the Yelp button . Prolly a nice guy though ...but not fit for his position . Maybe I'll try coming again for a better experience , but prolly won't . Disappointed and wasted precious time . read more

Bad guys, bad service. I called to have a break light replaced and the manager was immediately with a bad attitude for no reason. I went in and they called me "buddy" and then laughed and said go somewhere else. Worst people I've ever seen at an auto shop. read more

Beware! This firestone location is a fraud and you can not trust them. They do not respect your time and have very little knowledge when it comes to repairing cars and trucks. I will be informing all of my friends and family of the poor quality of this repair shop as well as their poor customer service. Having grown up in the area and trying to support local businesses, I will never go to this repair shop again in my life. It is sad to see such poor quality from a local Thousand Oaks shop. read more

Expect an hour wait even when you call in advance but I typically walk out and head to another Firestone for tire rotations. The Firestone behind The Oaks mall is always better customer service but expect a wait even with an appointment. See you on the next rotation! read more

Called Firestone to ask if they'd do a repair on my truck tire. It was nearing the end of the day but Kimberly said to bring it in. Turns out I had a roofing nail in the outside tread. It's a big tire so it was almost 2 inches from the outside wall of the tire but they said the tire would have to be replaced....they couldn't repair something that close to the outside wall. In giving 2 starts newscasts Kimberly aired up my tire and referred some shops that might be able to do it. I caked a few who were no help at all (Tire Man and Just Tires) but ended up taking it to Grand American Tires where they repaired it and rotated my tires for free in less than 30 minutes. read more

Prompt service with great deals on pricing. They were able to squeeze me in for an oil change and brake check. Didn't try to gouge me for more money, honest, quick and friendly. read more

This is your typical Firestone, with decent service and decent prices. They do all types of car maintenance, so go there for more than just tires. read more

Needed 4 new tires on my Hyundai. This location had a lot better selection than the other TO firestone. Cam was super helpful and they got me in same day on a Sunday. read more

I had a flat tire on my travel trailer on a rainy day. Pulled into Firestone after Costco said they were to busy to help. Sam has me a new tire and out the door in under an hour. Fantastic service! I wish they had Nitrogen though and so did Sam. Had to go back to Costco to swap out the air. But I will return to Sam because of the great service. And thanks to the crew for working in the rain! read more

Sam is amazing!! The best experience I've ever had with getting an oil change and a tire change also! He is great! He took me when the other Firestone on Hillcrest said they were unavailable :) excellent customer service! Quick and efficient service as well. Thanks, Sam! read more

Everyone was working steadily on a Sunday, they fixed a flat for me then realized I had another tire with a nail in it that was losing air. They fixed that too. Friendly and professional, waited a while but considering the day and I didn't have an appointment, it was worth the wait. Thank you read more

Trust in these guys to help you out. The girlfriend and I were on our way south when our car absolutely died on us that night. After sleeping in a parking lot we got towed by AAA to Firestone, which happened to be the only place open on a Sunday. We needed a new Catalytic converter in order to get on the road again and the staff drove an hour away to get the part, and installed it all in one day for a reasonable quote. Talk about service! Thanks Anibal, Bradley and the rest of the staff for being great! read more

Went in to get a oil change a few weeks ago. One of the courtesy services they offer is to check the air filter. They recommended I replace it. I said I would do it myself. Now that I have the air filter I am unable to un-screw the bolts at home. PLEASE DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS especially when I didn't bring the vehicle in for the air filter. Now I have to drive back to this facility to have them loosen the screws. read more

If you get a chance to go to Firestone in Thousand Oaks ask for Ezekiel. He is the most professional night manager you will ever meet. He takes responsibility for everything that happens on his watch. He is nice and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy and understanding everything about your car. He provides the kind of service you expect at a high end repair shop. Thank you Firestone for having such a great asset to your company and to your customers. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Firestone in Camarillo for a long time, love those guys. Gabriel is always honest and takes great care of my vehicles. I recently moved to Thousand Oaks, so I have tried the Firestone here a couple times. First time they tried to charge me $45 for an oil change (always below $25 in Camarillo). I just recently brought in my car for a check-up. The guy mentioned as I was walking out that it would cost $99. They never charge me in Camarillo for this but I thought it might be worth it if they can figure out the problem and fix it. They called the next day to say they can't figure out the exact problem but think that it's a transmission issue (which they cannot fix). When I went to pick up the car I was under the impression that since they didn't offer a solution or even find the exact problem that I wouldn't be charged. Instead, the mechanic thought he was doing me a favor by charging me half the price ($50). All he did was run a simple diagnostic on the car. I guess I will stick to the Firestone in Camarillo. read more

I had my car service 1 day ago. My light for my tires came on tonight. All my tires were at 28 so I checked out my Firestone paper.. they lowered my tires to all be at psi 30. The psi on my tires is 44 and they should be filled at 35 even my freaking cars knows. At 10am at night I had to go fill up ALL of my tires with my baby in the car (thank god it didnt cause an accident) and since I don't know how to do it anf i had to keep checking my gauge inside my car, it took me 45 minutes.. i paid over 100 for full inspection and oil change and they didn't even do it right.. wonder what else they messed up. Not feeling comfortable, very dissatisfied and very upset. read more

I have been going to this Firestone for years, this past week was blatantly lied to about work that we needed for our car. Forgiving this briefly, I went to the "manager" and was lied to by him again, claimimg he heard what the first person said and my wife was mistaken. Lesson learned. I can't trust them, you shouldn't either. I am waiting to see if another Firestone person calls us. I will adjust this review as more information comes to light read more

Sam gets it. Customer service is exceptional. One of the only tire shops open on a Sunday so they were busy but Sam was making sure everyone felt like priority #1. Casey repaired a small hole in my tire quickly and I left confident that I have a car that's safe to drive. Thanks guys read more

I called a half hour before closing for a new tire after getting a flat and the shop had no problem staying and waiting after closing for me to arrive and change out my tire. They ended up staying almost an hour and after closing fixing my car and taking off my low pros but was more than happy to make sure every thing was right before my car was done. They saved me 90 mile tow home and stayed late on a Friday night. read more

This was my first time at this or any Firestone location and it was great! I blew a tire in the area at about 5:15pm, and on a Sunday. Of course I had a full size tire attached to my car but I drove over a nail with it recently. I called AAA for a tow to the nearest location that would repair a tire with a nail in it. The closest place was actually Pep Boys. Pep Boys closed at 6 so I called ahead to make sure they could help me out and let them know that I was coming. They answered the phone saying that even though they close at 6 they refuse to help me if I come any later then 5:45. Don't state that you close at 6 when you won't help people that come in before your "closing" time. Because of what I was driving I had to wait a little longer for a flatbed. Worried that I won't be able to find a place because it's getting late on a Sunday, I said I would try Firestone because it was the next closest option and after that it would be to late. When I called Firestone I believe Cam K answered the phone. My boyfriend and I explained are situation and it was such a relief to here him say that it was no problem and that they would take care of us. We were running later then what was expected and THEY STAYED OPEN FOR US. Wow. When we arrived Cam and Robert were there to greet us without any hostility. I have never been to an auto shop with such awesome customer service. They didn't know this but I have a trip later this week. And I have been running around like a chicken with it's head chopped doing errands, getting all my homework done for this week and next, while also picking up hours at work to pay for it all and then this happens on my way home from errands. By giving me 30 mins of there time they saved me a day which I really needed. I absolutely will be returning here, they helped me out when they didn't have to. I trust that this place actually cares about there customers and will have there best interest at heart. Thank you again Cam K. and Robert your awesome!!!! read more

For a place that has a big name associated with tires, you would think they would know to tighten lug nuts after they rotate tires. After we took our truck here for this service before going on vacation, we were driving when the wheel almost fell off. Fortunately, our truck did not overturn, but was not drivable, due to lug nuts now missing, and damage to the wheel. Since we were out of town at the time, we had to bring it to a local mechanic and buy a new tire, and temporary wheel, this was not cheap. When we brought the wheel back into Firestone to let them know what happened, the manager said he would look into the repair. A couple of weeks went by with no word. When we called, the manager said it was fixed and it would cost us $200. He never called to tell us how sorry he was for their negligence in the first place, but failed to even ask us for authorization to have it repaired. We have reached out to corporate, with still no resolution after nearly 2 months. We have been loyal customers of Firestone for over 20 years, even with the constant attrition of their staff. They will never have our business again. Not only was there a lack of concern for what happened, but no apologies for it, or for us having to spend a lot of money to get the truck drivable again so we could get home. They only wanted their $200 for the wheel they took upon themselves to fix without authorization. If you want to have piece of mind for the safety of you and your family while driving, I would not recommend taking your car to this Firestone. read more

I would definitely NOT recommend this place. Prices seemed ok but the staff left me sitting in the lobby for easily 10 minutes without interaction and two days in a row I was told they could not accommodate my service needs while still open for 1-2 more hours. I'd recommend checking out Just Tires down the road a bit, friendly staff, solid prices and service read more

I recently ordered my 4 tires online (via 3rd party website) and had them shipped directly to this Firestone. Ashley at Firestone called me promptly when the tires arrived a few days later and was quite flexible with when I could go in to get them on. I went in later that afternoon and the price the put all tires on was as quoted online (in comparison to nearby tire centers, they had the best deal). I decided to pay an extra $34 for the free rotation & balance for the life of the tires. All the staff was courteous, friendly, and professional. I agreed to a complimentary fluids check, which I admit was a test because I had just taken my car for service at my normal mechanic's place. Well I'm happy to report that they were honest and did not give me any bogus list of things I need to fix/refill "right away." Oh, and the bonus was that while I waited I walked across the street to Starbucks. Groovy! read more

I took Jackson F up on his offer (see review from him below). I gave Firestone the opportunity to service my car. I could not have been more pleased. Jackson was professional, extremely courteous and conscientious about my time and trouble. I made a return trip for a subsequent issue since my first visit in December for repairs. I personally know nothing about cars. Jackson made me feel comfortable and I did not feel ripped off in any way. I will definitely return and have already told my friends and family about this shop and the wonderful management. Keep up the outstanding work! read more

My car was ready to give up. She barely started when I turned the ignition key. I figured it was either my battery, or the starter. I was in a pinch to get my car diagnosed and make it into work on time. The employees at Firestone quickly diagnosed my car, pushed it into the service garage and replaced the starter. This was all under 3 hours. Thank you Firestone team for quickly getting me back on the road with peace of mind! read more

Been here a couple of times and the guys are always helpful. Just went in to get an oil change, but they were fully booked, so they called another location to see if they could fit me in. Great place. They beat dealership prices by a mile! Very happy with manager, he really knew his stuff. Very satisfied.

Robert is great - he was very helpful and informative. He was in a position where he could have sold me a couple parts that I thought I needed (because I was told by my dealership's mechanic that I did) but he gave me straightforward advice about what my car needed rather than just trying to make money. This was a very positive experience and I highly recommend people come here for all their car needs - they have awesome prices and experienced, honest people working here. read more

Terrible, poor customer service, don't care about customer loyalty, they just want your money. I got the "the new guy made a mistake" excuse. I don't care who made the mistake, fix it, and the money shouldn't be coming out of my pocket. Take your money somewhere else, I guarantee you will have a better experience than at firestone. I also was told my car would be done at 10am, and it took me going to the shop at 1230pm to find out it was done, they didn't call me or anything. Just pathetic. Been going here for two decades too and I'm done now. Other people are saying the same thing, do not go! read more

Needed tires around Thanksgiving.Shopped many places for quality and the price out the door. You know the comments "this is our best price, however if you find a better price call us and we will match that price" So that must not be the best price!!!I called Firestone at 1100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. and talked to the Manager, Jackson.I told him I needed tires and a wheel alignment. He told me if I could wait a few days he would have Black Friday prices. I made an appointment . My total out the door cost for four premium tires were over a $100 dollars less than all the other company's I had contacted. I was treated with courtesy, the work was done quickly. I'm now a very satisfied customer of Firestone. Thank You Jackson read more

Terrible first time experience. Would never repeat. My car does not restrict what type of oil I use (verified with multiple acura dealerships) because it's a 4 cylinder; yet this location telling me I must use full synthetic. For 46.99 versus 19.99. stop trying to rip people off! At least allow me to sign a waiver and put whatever product I want in my car. again would never repeat. read more

Very quick and efficient. They were friendly and very informative. The whole team did a good job!

Experienced some cooling system-related issues during the drive down from Seattle for vacation. Decided to come here for a cooling system flush and fill because of the convenient location to our hotel, and preference of auto repair facility over an oil change only place. Ended up just coming in on a Monday morning. They got me right in, did an excellent job for a reasonable price, and gave me a couple of maintenance recommendations with no hard pressure sell. On request, got reasonable quotes for the recommendations. Had no issues on the drive home. 5 Star honest service. Will return for any future needs when in So Cal. read more

I am sitting in the lobby area waiting for my car that was towed here yesterday. I had two flats ( long story) and I was told they didn't have the tires my car needed but would order them and my car would be ready by Monday afternoon. So I waited all day but no call from Firestone. So I called them at 3:26pm and was told by Leon that my car would be ready by 5:30pm and he would call me. 5:30pm came and went so I started calling Firestone at 6:38pm and looked in Yelp for the closing time. It said there that Firestone closed at 7pm. I then jumped in another car and drove to Firestone meanwhile calling and calling. No answer until 6:49pm when a gentleman explained to me that Leon had gone home at 5:15pm. What?! My car was not ready, Leon had gone home. What?! So Jim a new guy stayed along with a mechanic and changed the tires along with the alignment. Now that's customer service! Jim turned everything around and took the initiative to set things right. Thank you! Someone else dropped the ball and is lacking in the customer service dept. and communication with the all important paying customers. read more
