I also had my tires rotated and alignment corrected. Nothing but knowledgeable service technicians and expert service. Worst big chain service shop ever...don't go there. I originally had bad service and a bad experience with a Firestone in Ventura, CA about 10 years ago and haven't been to one since. I was recommended by a mechanic here to get an alignment done and that's why I went there even though I was skeptical. I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler that we just put a 2.5" rough country lift on with 33s. They scheduled me for the alignment and asked if I could leave it there all day. When I told them my wife needed to get to work they did rush it which was good. But almost 2 hours after dropping it off they call me to tell me they can't do lifted vehicles....and they would be only doing the toe and dropping the price. When I got in to pick the Jeep up the fella working the desk didn't know if they even did the toe alignment...and gave some excuses why they still needed to charge me. I got it and paid the partial price but was not happy to just get a printout with what the readings are at with no adjustments. Bottom line is I would not recommend any Firestone shop....they are just out to get $$ and don't truly care about the work or relationships. If you're in VA Beach I would recommend getting an appt at Burt's Alignment on the boulevard....that's where I'm taking my Jeep tomorrow to make sure it was done right. read more

I called for an alignment and was told they could get me in. When I arrived I was told it would be 1 to 1-1/2 hours, and I specifically asked to be sure the steering wheel was perfectly straight, as it's been an issue with some shops. The service rep wrote that instruction on the order. When my car was finished 2-1/2 hours later I left and quickly noticed the steering wheel was about 5 degrees off. I was on a road trip and leaving the area the next morning, so I had to stop at another Firestone shop to have them straighten it, but they didn't get it perfect, either. It was only after having a broken axle replaced at a Mercedes dealer later in the trip that the steering wheel was straight again. I don't live in the area but if I did I wouldn't return. They were nice, but this is a simple request for a common repair that should have been done correctly the first time, even without a specific request. read more

Took my car in to get some new tires put on. Now my driver door won't lock or unlock and the guy kept saying maybe my remote battery is dying. I'm not a mechanic but even I know that if the other 3 doors lock and unlock properly, then it's not the remote..he kept talking to me like I was stupid. read more

I rarely do reviews but I was compelled to leave one for this establishment in the hope of saving someone else money and a headache. As far as customer service, had no complaints. Staff was courteous. Brought my car and truck in for VA state inspection. Car failed; needed new windshield wipers and there was a small hole in the exhaust pipe right before the muffler. They quoted me $200 to have the hole fixed by the shop across the street (Midas?). That sounds ridiculous to patch weld a small hole on the exhaust but I'm assuming they have some agreement with them. I declined, paid the inspection fee and asked for my car back. Went directly across the street to another muffler shop (I believe the name is TMC Auto Service) but across Rosemont Rd.. it's the one beside the Citgo gas station across the street from Sonic and Lowe's. They quoted me $70. Got it fixed within 45 minutes (I recommend this place as I've had good work done at reasonable rates before). Drove the car home to have reinspected in a few days when I was able. Well the truck failed inspection also. Rear axle seals were shot and fluid was leaking onto my rear drums. Was quoted an exorbitant price to fix but I knew it was a big job. Declined their quote, paid for the inspection and got the truck back to get quotes from other shops over the next couple of days. In that time frame, I was pulled over for NO inspection sticker. I told the cop I just got it inspected a couple of days ago and the shop did not put a rejection sticker (which should be good for 14 days). Got the ticket anyway ($150 for ticket, court fees). Spoke to the manager at Firestone. He said it might have peeled off. Checked the whole truck. No sticker found. Checked my car and they did not put a rejection sticker as well! I'm not sure if that's common practice with them but I don't think two vehicles with no rejection sticker is a coincidence. I found another shop with really good reviews to complete the repairs to the truck for much cheaper and got it inspected along with my car elsewhere. Definitely shop around because they overcharge for labor and parts, oh and make sure you have a rejection sticker if your car does not pass state inspection. read more

my sons Pathfinder just cut off on him, no warnings, just quit; went to Firestone on Holland Rd. They had it towed and said there was a 20% chance of additional repairs needed as the timing chain needed replacing. After $700+ charge he gets in a vehicle that sounds like a thrashing machine and shakes hard enough to loosen tooth fillings! Neither was happening before. Firestone basically said TOO BAD - we told you there was a 20% chance there would be additional problems. I was warned that this store was a no-no; but what do you do when you're new to the area and caught between a rock and a hard place. DON'T GO TO THIS STORE. Oh they talk real nice until they get you committed then their loyalty ENDS. read more

I have taken all my vehicles to this location for the past 17 years and I gotta tell you last weekend I was fuming mad. I needed a oil change and the right rear tire plugged which according to the mechanic could not be repaired, which is good. also I asked to have my left front checked because of a loud squealing noise that was coming from that area. I just had the front breaks repaired when I was out of town. ( had no choice) since then it was making this god awful squeal. when I went to pick up my truck I was charges and when I asked what they found on the noise the clerk looked at me and said your breaks are fine. ( which I knew) I then told her they were suppose to check the noise. she said she was sorry and that was the end of it. not well we can look at it or nothing. Needless to say I was furious. I don't know what's been happening at this location lately but I don't get a good felling when I take my vehicles there. so after 17 years I am looking for another place to have my vehicles serviced which is sad in its own right. since I know I need 4 tires come the end of the year. but the trust just isn't there anymore. read more

I am quite satisfied with the service I have received from Firestone! The technicians are competent, knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions about what needs to be done and why. The staff at the counter are super courteous and seek to do all they can to ensure that your experience in having maintenance performed meets your expectations for timeliness and quality. They could be better. I have taken my car/s there for over 10 years. It's been good, but, maybe all good things must end. There are still some pleasant staff and mechanics, so why I could give it at least a couple of stars, but, they have gone down hill recently (spring/summer 2016). I don't know what is going on there, but, felt jilted. I took it in for a look at my a/c and 3 times they were supposed to have it fixed. Two of those times in one week, a total of my car there 3 days in one week just this past week. All just to know the freon had leaked out again overnight sitting there or perhaps they didn't even touch it. When I picked it up I was told it's fixed. Simply, it wasn't fixed and they felt no obligation to let me know anything. They are supposed to know better on this one and not mislead. This wasn't a hard to ascertain problem, either, with a simple cheap device mechanics have in order to know where any AC leak may be. Be very leery of them. read more
