If you have plenty of time to waste this is the place to go. Took a tire with a slow leak in 3 times over the course of a year and they stated they checked beading etc... got a nail in the tire where they were forced to remove the tire from the rim and voila no leak... of course that took the entire day because they lost the paperwork...less than a month later took the truck in with Less than 15k miles in to be balanced and rotated and they told me they are out of warranty.... uh huh they just serviced my tires less than a month for a nail... save your time go elsewhere! read more

We called in to have our car's tires rotated and aligned on....put on hold....service rep comes back on and says, "So you want an oil change, right?" Now, I should have hung up right then and there, but I didn't! They dangerously over-inflated a tire to 48 psi but provided a courtesy check that identified 35 psi for that time. I came for a tire replacement on the left front and the over-inflated tire was on the right rear. I can think of no legitimate explanation for this extreme over-inflation and I am angry that I was endangered. read more

I had a good experience. Stopped in around 4:30 to check my tire pressure - turned out that one tire was at 15psi and had a nail in it, which I hadn't seen. Glad the dude took the time to actually come out to my car, joke with me about my seeming inability to check tire pressure, and identify the problem. Headed back inside and was told they could repair the tire and do a basic car inspection (which I wanted) in about an hour or so. This was without an appointment and last minute. I wandered the surrounding shopping center for a while and headed back after stopping for an ice cream cone at the Baskin Robbins. (I know you don't care, but in case you were wondering what you were going to do while you waited, you now know there is a Big 5, a Baskin Robbins, and a Dollar Store.) The tire was good to go, the others were filled to their needed level, and I got a quote for the two services I need in the relatively near future. Wasn't pressured to commit, wasn't asked to get a credit card (I already have the Wheel Works card, which is the same thing), and was treated kindly and with respect. I had a screw in my tire. That brought me to Firestone in Watsonville. They fixed the tire quickly. My only problem was that the tire should have been balanced and they didn't call me to ask me if i wanted that done. The wheel bounced and made my steering wheel shimmy. I needed a 70,000 mile service and i had a Firestone credit account so i brought my truck back to this store. The female manager was a real pleasure to deal with. I found some coupons and was able to get my brakes done for around $200. I had an oil change, radiator flush, rotors turned, lifetime balance, lifetime tire rotation, lifetime alignment and fluids checked. I received 5% off for using my Firestone credit account. The total price came to $725! Cheap for all the work done. I would go back again. I'm giving high marks for the female manager and slightly lower marks for them not calling me to ask if i wanted them to balance my tire after they fixed the flat. read more

I've taken a few cars since I've had them into Firestone. They always handle my concerns and vehicles with great care. When there is a problem they always seem genuinely concerned and quickly resolve it. I always leave happy. I had a routine maintenance performed a couple of weeks ago and my tire light came on almost immediately after I left but I could not return until a couple of weeks later. The shop was super busy on that Saturday I went in and Michael the manager was swamped but never gave me that "oh no, another thing to add to my list" look. He took my information and we chatted and worked me in so I was out of there within 30 min. They handled it without any further issues. Avoid this place at all cost. Straight rip off. $25 dollars per lug nut? Insane. Manager Juan will rob you blind. The guys in the back are inexperienced. The only thing they can handle without having to go back so they fix (again) is checking your air pressure. When they mess up a flat repair, they will try to charge you for a new tire. Even if it was their fault. Avoid this disgrace of an auto shop. They recommended a "fuel system clean" when I asked for what reason they said "your injectors are dirty". Wait what !!!! So without removing my injectors you determined they're dirty?!!! Again beware of this location. The guys in the back have no experience what so ever. I wouldn't trust these guys. Save your money and go else where. The worst part of all. When Juan finally assisted me ( waited 15 min before he helped the line of customers, because his chat about the football game was more important on the phone) he was slow, took him 20 mins for him to write me up. It was saturday late afternoon and I notice my tire was low and a nail was in it. OH CRAP. Well, its almost 5 on a saturday and no one is open anymore. I hopped online and hooray Firestone is open on sunday. I made an appointment online and it was super simple. I brought my truck in and they were able to fix the tire and check all the other ones. It took them about an hour and half, no biggie. I just walked to Nob Hill, had a coffee and chilled. This was my first experience with them and I will for sure be going back. Cheers Guys! read more

I am sorry to say that this is my first review and very disappointing to write a negative review on a business I had frequented for over 10+ years. Yesterday I had an appointment for an oil change for my BMW 328i, I was not given a written estimate, much later after my car was in the shop I discovered that the estimate was sent to my husbands email address. This estimate was for $144.00 but not signed or approved by us. If that is the going rate to change the oil on a BMW then I can accept that but I was not warned upfront. When the bill came I asked for it to be reduced to a more reasonable price; there was no offer to provide a managers special or reduction, I was met with poor customer service and unwillingness to explain the high costs. Firestone I am sorry but you have lost a customer who has brought you 4 vehicles for service. We will not be back! read more

I have okay experience with tire service so far in over 10yrs BUT... When it comes to everything else. They have messed up bad. Could have cost me a new engine on two different vehicles. Put the wrong belt on my car. Another time my filter was not installed correctly. Almost came off as I drove away. They try to deny mistakes, until you insist that a woman isnt as dumb as they think. Recently I went in for a oil change. Get home and there is a puddle of oil in my garage. Very rude and sarcastic from the weekend staff. They admit fault after looking at the vehicle. I went it for a simple oil change and came out leaving the shop feeling completely ripped off after they broke my tire sensor and did not replace it. I took my car with functioning tire sensors and now I have a light on my dashboard and a broken sensor! Had a piece of metal in tire and the guy at the register did not want to look at the tire. He was just standing at the counter. He wanted us to wait 1 1/2 hours just to take a look. We said can't someone just look at the tire to see if it needs a new one or if it can be fixed. Register guy reluctantly walks out and takes a quick look and says it has to be replaced. He gives a high quote on new tires. We left and went to another tire place in town. Person comes out immediately and takes the metal out of the tire and says it is fine with no problem. I brought my truck here because I had a CC with them. Quoted 150 to 200 per axle for a brake job and 49.99 for flush and fill and bleed. First visit I seen 5 hours at the shop waiting for news on my truck. The only worked on it when I was there. I made an agreement to do front, back and 4 new tires as service with flush and fill. Tires were ordered for Saturday. Front brakes are fine and I'm told my tire rods are an issue and asked me if I've notice any shaking while driving. NOPE. Then I take my kids to a restaurant next door and have a meal and 3 hours later trucks still not done and now I'm just finding out my drums need replacing and he will give them to at store cost of 56.99 since its 112 retail. Rear shoes were out on on hour 4. Not the right size, can I leave it over night. no. Okay we will get some now. Hour 5 at shop. still wrong shoes for drums. Now either 1 I have my wife pack up tired kids that are finally getting a nap and drive 30 minutes to get me to drive 30 minutes back. It was decided to put everything back together and come back a later day. Truck drove normally, little stiffer but I thought that was cause of new tire grip. What should have been 200 tops with coupon and offered discounts turned out to be 290 and then he showed me the "complementary" discounts he gave me which he charged me double and then made it look pretty by cutting it in half. Come back that Sunday. New tires and brakes go on. More talk of the tire rod. Still the truck drove fine on the way there at 65mph. Then came costs. Tires were correct and everything else should had added up to 200 ended up being an extra 500 so I left that store with over 1300 in repairs. WAY OVER CHARGED and now my family and as an uber driver everyone who gets in my truck is at risk for an accident. The truck shakes terribly at 645mph and even worse at higher speeds. Contacted their customer care to file a complaint and was told in 48 hours I'll hear something. I took my car here for brake service and a radiator flush. The brakes did not stop squeaking. I was told that I could buy some kind of lube to put on the brakes. Isn't that what I just paid you for I thought. They also hit the back of my car and had the nerve to tell me that it was like that when I walked in but suggested that I could use nail polish or something like it to cover up the hit since it was just a couple of chips on the paint. I went here for the first time to have a standard oil change and 4 new tires. The next day I had grey smoke coming out my exhaust which is from too much oil in reservoir. They didn't seat the rims back on correctly and there was a clicking sound that I had to diagnose myself because the technicians count not find the reason. I had had some real problems last fall bringing the Firestone website's advertised prices in line with what I was seeing at the store, and also was flabbergasted at the cost of replacing Oxygen sensors (that price cheaply at the store) at Firestone. Well, as it turns out, trust Firestone Watsonville, and leave the rest alone - here's why Firestone's corporate website prices are marketing, nothing more. Corporate leaves out sales tax, and they definitely leave out Road Hazard Plan for tires (which you NEED if you drive over 10k miles / year). If you walk in expecting one price, but see a 15%+ increase, there's going to be stickershock. Bring the car in, talk to the folks here. They'll tell you what's what... and they aren't going to play games. Let me repeat - they are not going to rip you off. Those oxygen sensors? After doing my homework, it turns out to be a big problem with Honda Fits, and if you use a cheap version, you'll never clear the "check engine" light. These folks got it worked out , while the local Honda dealership couldn't even handle the request and forgot to get the parts. Belen @ Firestone got them, same day, period. In both cases, Firestone got the work done quickly. Belen and Juan offer superior loyalty and service to customers, even when they're pigheaded like me. Not sure who our service worker was, but we were in the area from out of town and our tire went flat -- we got there at 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon, knowing they close at 5:00 and they were the only tire shop open on Sunday. The service guy was helpful in patching our tire so we could make the 150 mile drive home, and did not charge us. Next time we are in the area, we'll stop and bring them a treat for their service and hospitality. It's so stressful being stranded with 3 kids in the car, and they just took care of us! read more

On a road trip one of my passengers mistakenly over-inflated the tires (43, 42, 44 and 43 PSI). I needed an oil change anyway, so we stopped here to make sure it was done right. I explained about the tires. They promised to check the tires and fix the pressures. They wrote on the receipt that they put all tires at 32 PSI, but told me that "based on their inspection" I should let them replace or rotate the tires. The tires were less than six months old so I thanked them but declined. The tires still didn't feel right so I checked them myself -- they were exactly 43, 42, 44 and 43. These guys had NOT inspected the tires, even though they tried to sell me all new tires based on their "inspection." NOW, this isn't just about whether they skipped the windshield wiper fluid. Dishonest tire service can get you killed. So I did something I've never done before -- I called the owner/manager, carefully explaining that I was not trying to get a refund or a comp, I truthfully wanted him to know what happened. He could not have cared less. Their shoddy values go from top to bottom. Don't risk it. There are a lot of honest, hard-working service shops in 95076 that take pride in their work and their reputations. (I found one myself shortly after this.) But Watsonville Firestone Tire & Service Center is NOT one of them. read more

In 2009 I brought in a tire for repair and it was not ready when promised. They claimed that it could not be repaired and that I had to buy a new tire. Another reputable tire shop repaired the tire for ten bucks. This is not the first bad experience I have had at this shop. They will do their best to sell you services and repairs that you don't need. Don't let their charm and professional demeanor fool you; the front office at this store is staffed by salesmen, not mechanics. UPDATE; Yesterday my wife brought in a flat tire. They told her they couldn't fix it and tried to sell her four new tires. Instead, she took the tire to Dixon Tires and they fixed it for $17. These guys at Firestone are snakes! read more

It was close to closing time and she was told to go somewhere else because they didn't have time to fix it. We have been loyal patrons of Firestone for the last 30 year. They put my daughter back on the road under unsafe conditions. I have never seen such unprofessionalism and I will NEVER take my business to Firestone again.
