It's my first time trying Huaiyang cuisine and it is surely interesting! My fav is their sweet and sour fish and fried duck with taro puree. They taste flavorful and unique. If you reserved early, they can make food sculpture art as well! I saw on their website mostly bird related sculpture with fruit and veggies which is super cool!

They are not very clear with their price here. The menu says for 9.95 you get 8 piece wings with pork fried rice, but I was charge $13 because wings is considered a side order. You need to update your menu to reflect that. Nonetheless this food wasn't worth $13. The rice tasted stale. There's nothing aesthetically pleasing about the ambiance. It looks more like a takeout restaurant. The service is ok.

Food was super tasty, service was excellent and the staff really nice. This may have been the cleanest Asian restaurant I have ever ate at.. i had Kung Pao Shrimp with Chicken and added broccoli.. Hot and Sour Soup was really good and the fried won tons were super strips and lite and not greasy.. try it out, great place.

The tangerine fish is pretty authentic. Food are so sweet and pretty compatible with Asian flavors.

I can't remember how many times I have visited. This place is the place if you want some real high quality representative Chinese food. As a Chinese grow up in the northern part, I gotta say this place is better than any huaiyang restaurant I had in Beijing. You hear me right, it is actually weird to say that I had the best huaiyang cuisine experience in a lane city of Georgia. Just try it out and don't forget to toss away the general Tso menu (could actually be good tho since I never tried their American Chinese menu, but who want that when you have the access to the top quality authentic Chinese food).

Rare Huaiyang cuisine here at Firey bowl in Atlanta! ⁣I'm pretty sure this is the only restaurant. ⁣⁣ Huaiyang cuisine is one of the Four Great Traditions in Chinese cuisine and Firey bowl has some amazing specialties from this rich culinary tradition!⁣⁣ I give it 4 stars partly because of the unique dishes they have, more like 3.5 for the quality of most of the dishes. ⁣⁣ I recommend trying: 1. Crystal Stewed Pork: Dip it in Chinese vinegar, and it melts in your mouth, smooth and appetizing! 2. Signature Squirrel Fish: Crispy exterior, tender interior, and a sweet & tangy sauce that's pure perfection! Wasabi Shrimp: The presentation is impressive, and the taste is refreshingly delightful! 4. Braised shredded chicken and ham with dried tofu: one of the most iconic dish from Huaiyang cuisine! It should be a burst of flavor with shredded chicken, wood ear mushrooms, ham, bamboo shoots, all cooked in delicious chicken broth. While the ingredients were all there, the flavor was a little lacking for me. ⁣⁣ They also serve traditional dishes like osmanthatus lotus root and Lion's Head Meatball! ⁣These tend to be offered at other restaurants as well and I wasn't particularly impressed by either. Overall solid place if you want to try something new or craving some of those dishes! ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #HuaiyangCuisine #FoodieDiscoveries #FireyBowl

Under new ownership with a superb chef heading up the kitchen. The staff is super friendly but they still need to learn how to grow their business and attract patrons with their unique dishes. But when you see Chinese people dining inside, you know there's something about this place. I learned later they have a Chinese menu which are special dishes the regular enjoy. My plan is to use Google translate to get to the root of what's on this menu! However, the more Americanized dishes my family enjoyed were delicious. It looks like they do pretty good with takeout, but inside is very large with plenty of seating. Again, our waitress was really nice.

I've been wanting to go back here ever since I tried it a few months ago. I dream about the tofu, no kidding. A great mom and pop shop with traditional and authentic Chinese food! I love the homey atmosphere, and they have lots of vegetarian options!! I tried the vegetarian "duck" dish, but by far, the braised tofu was the star!! The crispy shell in contrast with the soft interior is absolutely delightful!

What a disappointment. I really was trying not to allow my biased preference of NYC Chinese food to influence this review - but yuck! With every bite it tasted like I was eating salt and nothing else. Underwhelming is an understatement, absolutely won't dine here again.

My best friend told me she ran into the chef somewhere I forget and he told her he opened his own restaurant. He use to be the head chef at Royal China but now has his own. Congrats :) She said I gotta come try this place.. and so I did :D and I'm sure glad I did!!! My favorites here is the Squirrel Fish. I loooove the way he cuts up and frys the fish! No matter how much it's soaked in the sweet n sour sauce, it's still crispy! Just wish he would make it spicy. The Westlake soup is soooooo good! Had everybody slurping! I like this way better than fish maw or any other soup. The braised pork belly just MELTS! The Beer Duck is A MUST!!! Love the flavors in it! The Walnut Shrimp has no walnuts, just pecans but I must say it's better than Mings BBQ (which is my fav) and actually, one if the best I've had in a long time. Dragon loves the Orange Chicken which is on 'the American menu'.. Chef finally got his Chinese menu up with pictures that you scan and look at because before he had a Chinese menu written in Chinese and didn't wanna translate it. I get it! It was a long ass menu! So I'm glad he finally got that up. As I'm writing this review, I think I'm funna go back and get that Whole Squirrel Fish and Walnut Shrimp today! And braised pork belly! This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants now for AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD!!!!! :)

We found a restaurant not far from the matcha shop. It felt more like a Chinese takeout spot than a traditional sit-down restaurant, so there wasn't much to speak of in terms of decor. We decided to share everything we ordered. The first dish we tried was the Szechuan noodles. The flavor was excellent, but unfortunately, the dish arrived only lukewarm, as it appeared to have been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. Next, we ordered soup dumplings, but the restaurant accidentally brought out pan-seared dumplings instead. Thankfully, they let us keep them while they prepared our original order. The pan-seared dumplings were actually very good--piping hot and full of flavor. When the soup dumplings finally arrived, they were decent but didn't quite live up to the pan-seared version and lacked the same level of flavor. Finally, our Szechuan chicken arrived. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy with a great spice profile that delivered the classic Szechuan kick without being overwhelming. It was served with fried rice, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was good but not exceptional. The food had some strong points, especially the Szechuan chicken and pan-seared dumplings, but the restaurant ultimately felt more like a solid Chinese takeout spot than a destination dining experience.

We were greeted quickly at both the door and table. For a dumpling house, there weren't that many options for dumplings. We order two types of dumplings, a noodle dish and an entree on recommendation of the staff. The pork soup dumplings were very soupy on the inside and had a good flavor. The pan fried bao dumplings were alright but morning to write home about; I thought the bun to filling ratio was good for a bao though. For noodles we got the house rice noodles. I typically don't order this but I thought it was really well done with a good ratio of ingredients and flavor. Lastly we ordered the sales egg pork ribs. They were cut to bite size pieces but that's deceptive since they were bone in. Some pieces were all bone and some all meat. While the flavor was good, some might call it dry and the cut made it difficult to eat. While the seasoning for all the dishes were flavorful, I thought the salt was a little heavy. Overall the restaurant was clean with a semi modern decor. The staff were all friendly and tried to be helpful throughout the visit. I'd give it a try if you're in the neighborhood.

Overall, we were impressed with their service and food preparation more than the food itself, all the dishes were good, but no dish stands out to my expectations for a Michelin Bib Gourmand, so the price as well. Here was our experience: Appetizer-Signature Salted Chicken: the skin was crispy; we ordered Steamed Pork Dumplings outside of regular menu, it's so so; main dish - Mapo Tofu W. Minced Pork: taste good, tofu was very soft; Stir-Fried Pork Belly with Green Pepper: pork part was good, pepper was on the raw side, not matching the pork; soup - Tofu and Veggies Duck bone Soup: taste diluted with more water; Desert - Peach Gummies with Tremella: cold and smooth. I feel like to give 3 and half stars, but 4 stars anyway.
