It reminds me of other family run businesses like In and Out and Chick fil A where you're valued as a customer, the prices are always fair, and the quality & service stands out. First time at this Mountain View location for tire rotation and it was relatively quick as we had an appointment.

Had an appointment scheduled weeks out to get a punctured tire patched -- rear passenger side…read more Simple job. Show up on time and the rep (Robert) immediately says he won't repair it. I push back and ask him specifically which puncture is actually causing the leak. He starts checking and finds out the one near the sidewall isn't even the issue -- it's the other punctures. So now the original reason to refuse goes out the window. Then he pivots. Goes over to my front driver side tire -- completely different axle, opposite corner of the car -- and says he won't service my vehicle because of the condition of that tire. Points to a specific line in their internal policy: "2/32 Inches or Less." I read it right there in front of him. That row describes what they can and can't do with a tire that IS itself at 2/32" -- it says nothing about refusing to patch a completely separate tire on a different axle. He misapplied his own policy. Also worth noting: that same policy line has a green checkmark under "Inflate" -- meaning by their own chart they'd inflate a 2/32" tire but won't touch a perfectly separate tire on the other side of the car. Make it make sense. I asked him to put the refusal and the reason in writing. Wouldn't do it. Just kept pointing at the policy -- the same one that doesn't actually back up what he was saying. And here's the part that gets me -- if it's a safety issue, why'd you let me drive off? No waiver, no documentation, nothing. Just sent me on my way with the puncture still in the tire and the "unsafe" tire still on the car. That's not a safety call, that's a sales call. Posting the policy photo so you can read it yourself. Filed a complaint with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. If this sounds familiar at this location, you can do the same at bar.ca.gov.

The office staff was professional, communication was good, and the shop was clean. In addition to changing my oil, they did a detailed overall inspection, which included a battery stress test, engine, brakes, and undercarriage. The full report, which included photos, was emailed to me and I was impressed by how comprehensive it was. If you just need an oil change and can do the minor maintenance and inspections yourself, then it will be a bit pricy at this shop (~$170). However, if you want someone else to do all that, it would be cheaper than a dealership.

I went back to the shop 3 times over the course of ~9 months, each time discovering some issues and replacing the pad/disk (this is where i felt good about the shop, everyone welcomed me back and did the diagnose and replacement for free). I end up relacing the two front pad/disk with another brand (zimmerman? that's what i heard) and resolved all issues. Maybe I just got unlucky, but I have to leave my honest and true experience which exhausts me over the last year (imagine every time you back out of your garage and hearing this "click" sound from your brake system, with a baby in a car. You natually worries about your safety).

Very disappointing and misleading experience…read more I booked a wheel alignment online for my Mazda CX-30. The advertised price was $125, minus a $20 discount, so I was charged $105 at the time of booking. The website already had my vehicle's make and model, so the quoted price should have reflected the correct vehicle. When I arrived at the service center, I was told that the actual price was $139.95 because my vehicle is considered an SUV. After the same $20 discount, the total became $119.95. This explanation makes little sense because the vehicle information was entered during the online booking. I also checked pricing for a BMW sedan, and it was even more expensive, so the supposed SUV pricing explanation does not appear consistent. Because they claimed the original price was incorrect, they charged my card again instead of simply adjusting the existing transaction. As a result, I was charged twice. I tried resolving the issue through Goodyear's live chat, but it was completely useless. I then had to call customer service and struggle through their automated phone system. The representative could only promise that the original $105 charge would eventually be reversed. Nobody was able to explain why the online price differed from the price at the service center. Goodyear should clearly display the correct price when customers enter their exact vehicle information, and customers should not have to spend their time chasing support after being charged twice. I will not be using their online booking system again.
