Hard to impress me with pizza. Even harder when you understand that I was born in New York. While I'm not a huge fan of thin crust, I know it has its place in the pantheon of pizza fame. I went here to get pizza for my coworkers. I ordered two Baslicious, one BBQ chicken and one Works pizza. Apparently, my co-workers hadn't been fed in months and they quickly devoured so much pizza that belts were being loosened. I had a few slices and greedily snatched up a few more to take home. It's a spot tucked in the corner. It's a lot bigger inside than it looks. The pizza is all made to order. They use a thick crust with oozing hot cheese. It was fairly packed with families here. We ordered a medium pizza for 4 topped with bacon, sausage, and pepperoni. Our pizza was not skimped with anything. We also used a check in on yelp and got 2 dollars off! The pizza came out piping hot with 8 slices. The crust was beautifully fluffy and soft. It melted in my mouth with the cheese. The marinara sauce was just right.. not overly flooded. The meats were topped like crazy! I was full after my 2nd slice. This was a MEDIUM sized pizza and 4 men were full. I love this place and will most definitely come back! Another Friday night, another bookmark checked off the list. This time, I had the pleasure of my daughter and her friend with me. Order at the counter and sit at picnic tables, sports memorabilia on the wall next to flat screens and lots of kids running around. I have not so fond memories of all my kids little league and soccer teams coming to Lamppost. The kids eat from a giant "free" cheese pizza and the families order overpriced meals for themselves. Toss in the video game money and you quickly blow $50 for your kid's free meal. Wow, sorry.....bad flashback. This place is nicer than Lamppost, and there is no video game room. Other than that, it's the same. The food is pricey and the kid factor was to be expected for 7 o'clock on a Friday. One soccer team filling the communal tables and the aisles with loud munchkins. The pizza was pretty good. They have a thicker style of their crust. There was the option of a thinner crust, but I'm glad we got the regular. The toppings were fresh and plentiful but the canadian bacon tasted like bologna. Not good. The place is fine enough, the pizza was good, but certainly not worth it in terms of value or taste. One large 2-topping pizza, a beer, 2 sodas and a small salad was $39. Ok...quick list time.... I ordered a medium version of the The Porker pizza which, with the check-in discount and extra olives came to a little over $19.00. The Porker pizza is advertised to come with pepperoni, canadian bacon, meatball, sausage and bacon pieces. Frankly, the pizza was just average because of some fatal weaknesses. The biggest weakness was that many of the ingredients were not bonded to the rest of the pizza and made it a mess to eat and difficult to eat. The olives, meatballs, sausage and bacon pieces just rolled off the top of the pizza when you tried to pick up a piece to eat. Also, the meatballs, sausage and bacon pieces were dry. Additionally, the bacon pieces were chewy with not much bacon flavor. The sausage lacked flavor as well. Also, there was a low amount of cheese on the pizza. Inconsistent with the photos of pizza advertised, the cheese was so lacking in quantity that you didn't get any of the stringy consistency when you picked up a piece to eat. One good aspect of the pizza was the taste and consistency/texture of the pizza dough. It had a slight sweetness and a good doughey flavor. Would I return? Am I a fan? IMHO, no. read more

Coming here with some buddies every Thursday has kind of become tradition and I couldn't be happier (I'm sure my Cholesterol may have a different opinion!) I've tried both the pies and the wings here and I was impressed with both. Their recipes prove both creative and delicious and they are not skimpy on the toppings. I had a bit of an issue with their service on my first visit, but subsequent visits have proved significantly better where the staff was not only kind and attentive, but also patient and helpful. This place is not your typical sports bar in that they are heavily involved in various local sports teams which is quite nice. Seems every time we come here we are surrounded by other teams who have also made this their home. They're obviously doing something right here! There are lots of flat screen TVs playing various sports. Their prices are very reasonable for the products they sell, but if you want to lower the price even more then all you have to do is check in on your handy dandy Yelp app. They offer a couple types of seating here... either communal seating and a couple booths indoors or regular tables outside on their patio. Decor is laden with you guessed it... Sports Memorabilia. You will have no doubts as to what type of establishment you are in when you are here. While the East Coast and the Midwest have their little zoot suit wars over whose pizza style is better, I'll be happily ignoring it here in California as I consume an unabashed mutt pizza in all its gooey, chewy splendor. The pizza pies are thick-ish crusted, meaning not the thickest but definitely not thin. They call for a new category which I will dub "California Style" pizza: soft and just crispy enough on the edges. The cheese is chewy and plentiful. The toppings are generous. Did I read somebody complaining there was *too much* cheese on their pizza?!? No such thing here in Orange County. That's like moaning about being able to visit the beach in January. The wings here are my new favorite wings! I ordered mine Traditional, and I received one pound of huge, meaty wings that were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I'd actually come here for the wings alone. The antipasto salad's also not bad at all. On a Sunday night, FCP was unaccountably slow, but I am told that they do a brisk lunch business. The bar, the flatscreen TVs lining the walls, and the proudly displayed support for a score of local kids' teams, promises a much more lively atmosphere for other days of the week. What a perfect local hangout for after the game! Or, to watch a game with friends. I couldn't imagine a more kid-friendly sports bar. First class is definitely " first class" I love this place, I'm lucky to work 5 minutes from here so lunch is a breeze, I decided to treat the guys to some fantastic pizza so I got an extra large porker, extra large spicy southwestern and an extra large supreme, I have to say I did not hear one complaint, everybody loved them . I had never ordered the spicy southwestern so this was a good chance to try it, no regrets, all the ingredients are so fresh and tasty, the only thing I opted for no honey mustard, it just didn't sound right, but I think next time I will order it with the mustard, maybe they know something I don't.
