Pricing was great as I had shopped the removal with four other companies. As with any project, if you do not have proper communication established, things can go sideways on you really quick. With First Class, the communication was excellent. Jose is not a "fast talker" in a car salesman kind of way. He meant what he said and above all, he followed through. That's hard to find these days. I had JUST finished remodeling and furnishing a house. Everything was pristine, inside and out. I wanted the dying palm trees gone so I could finally do professional photography. These guys had the job done in less than an hour. BUT, they did not bother to cover the open window less than two feet from the removal site. The crew at First Class Tree Service are amazing and I want to thank the team for coming out and trimming our tree. They definitely have earned my trust for doing a great job as well as being extremely reliable with top notch customer service. Our tree is a 15 foot tall carrot wood tree planted by the city many years ago and prior to us purchasing the home. The tree had a dense crown and many dead branches with our house power running through the tree to the main panel. As the power line is between the pole and the house, it is the homeowners responsibility to trim it. We needed the tree trimmed prior to getting our electrical panel upgraded for solar installation as SDGE demanded the tree to be trimmed. Jose came out to evaluate the tree and bid on the job as well as multiple other trees that would need servicing in the future. Their price was fair with respect to all our bids so we authorized the work. The crew came out on time and laced the tree, cleared out the dead branches and left the tree beautiful trimmed. They cleaned up after themselves and even trimmed our neighbors tree on the spot when he came out and saw their work. Fast forward to our solar/panel upgrade installation date and the SDGE lineman that came out said the tree was not trimmed enough. They could disconnect the power for the electrical panel upgrade but to reconnect it we needed a 3 foot radius around the power line which we did not have. If we proceeded we could potentially be out of power for days. If we didn't, the project would be pushed back months unless we got the tree trimmed in the hour, and prior to the city inspector arriving. It is important to note that as the tree was next to a power line, it is highly recommended that you do not trim the tree yourself because you'll risk electrocution. First Class Tree Service really pulled through at last minute. I called Jose, and he got the entire crew out within an hour to trim the tree (again) to the lineman's demands, cleaned up and left within 15 minutes of arriving! Now the tree is ugly because of SDGE but the installation could proceed without any issue. I'd like to express my gratitude for the crew at First Class for being responsive and efficient. I highly recommend them for your heir great work and for their superior customer service. I could not be happier with the work first class tree service provided for my family! From the initial consultation to the day they started the job, everything was done professionally, in a timely matter and at a reasonable price! My husband and I just bought our first home and during the process, we were told the 16 eucalyptus trees on the hillside in our backyard needed to stay in order to support the hillside. However, it was the root system needed and not the actual trees coming out of the ground that was preventing a landslide. Long story short, we found out AFTER we bought our home that the trees in our backyard were a huge hazard and it was a matter of time until one came crashing down on our house. We also have a small dog and a one year old so we definitely didn't want to risk anyone's safety. We had several companies come out to give estimates and their opinions but first class tree service impressed us the most. They were booked out well into November (for good reason!) but after I explained how concerned I was with my daughters safety, they did what they could to accommodate us sooner. They showed up early and ready to work! These guys had their word cut out for them but they did an amazing job! Eucalyptus trees are extremely messy and along with the dirt on our hillside, I imagined it would be a disaster out there once they finished. . . Nope!
