With plenty of locations to choose from in the Nashville area, First Watch is an easy yes for me, wherever I might be headed on a weekend adventure! This Brentwood one is easy to access with it being right on old hickory blvd. The decor on the inside is very farmhouse rustic and fits the brunch vibe. Despite it being busy on a Sunday, my partner and I were seated immediately during our visit this morning. We ordered the chimichurri steak hash off of the winter/spring menu and an order of the lemon ricotta pancakes from the standard menu. Both dishes were a hit. It was so much food that we will both have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch and a pancake for tonight's dessert. My hubs felt the chimichurri steak was a bit salty, but I like it that way. Solid spot for breakfast with something to please everyone. There are so many First Watches within the Brentwood and Cool Springs areas, it's hard to keep track of them all but this is the one technically closest to my house and very convenient when I want to take my parents out for breakfast or brunch. I find the quality of food at First Watches to be generally consistent: I have favorites I get almost every time that I know will satisfy me but they have a large menu with truly something for everyone, even my picky and dietary-restriction laden parents! This location can get a little busy around prime brunch time late morning on a Saturday or Sunday, but generally I'm able to walk in solo or with my parents and get a table immediately. Service is very good and attentive, friendly, but I have an inconsistent experience with the saltiness of food at the one. Occasionally, items like the potatoes or garlic bread are extremely salty, to the point of being difficult to consume. Generally speaking my favorite order is the trifecta with a Belgian waffle, crispy, potatoes, and the millionaire bacon (for a slight upcharge). The coffee is strong and always really delicious. My parents recently really loved the chicken pesto power bowl - extremely flavorful but very good. I've also really liked the turkey wrap and whatever their latest cornbread special is, in the past. Parking is pretty easy because this location is attached to a shopping complex and I'm generally always able to find something nearby. This will continue to be a staple in my Brentwood breakfast out rotation. read more

Every First Watch that I've ever visited is five stars. This site did not disappoint and we enjoyed everything that we experienced. First Watch has the best iced coffee that I've ever had. I love First Watch in general, doesn't matter the location. Solid menu, always delivers, and I love that they list the calories on the website. Luckily I work walking distance from this one, and their customer service is amazing. Food always ready in time, if not a few minutes early. They label for individuals, and make it a great go-to for work lunches. Clean inside. Only annoyance is if you dine there service can be quite slow (but I get it as it's busy). Outstanding service, huge portions, and so much food we had two boxes of leftovers! My brother, son, and I came for an early breakfast on a Sunday morning. The pecan salad is so filling, I could only eat half. I didn't even get to eat my half sandwich because the salad was so satisfying and incredibly huge. Such a great value for $10.99! Our server was much nicer and more efficient the second visit which is why I would consider going back, and both times the bill was ~$50 for two people which is good in my opinion. I added myself to the wait-list and showed up 10 minutes later and was seated immediately. There were a lot of people there waiting for a seat to open up when I arrived. The waitress was great, attentive for the most part and friendly. I wish they would've given us a table instead of a booth because we had our infant son with us whom we had to hold and feed a bottle. They lost stars because my hubby's entire entree came out cold (but they did make it right and made him another dish on the house). We have tried to go here in the past. The wait can be long. Friday at 10am - no problem. So many options! Everyone's food was amazing. Fresh! About $50 for three of us but that included drinks. Calorie counts were too high for me on many options but there were plenty of options that worked for me like the attached. Server was great - appropriately attentive. The host was also great - held the door open for us as we were entering. Friendly! Give it a try. The quality of the food and the service was definitely worth it. After walking in and standing in front of a dozen employees milling around and ignoring us to the point that it became awkward, we were finally seated, and our server was pleasant and attentive. The restaurant was half full on a Monday morning, so we never figured out why the employees at the front failed to greet or even acknowledge us. Our food came quickly, and everything was fresh and delicious. The kids' chocolate chip pancake is enough to feed quadruplets, so be prepared for a to-go box. The farmhouse scramble was also a huge portion. The eggs, bacon, and potatoes were cooked to perfection, and the lightly toasted multigrain toast is always a highlight at First Watch. The service when we went to pay the bill at the front was about as lackluster as our entrance, so management definitely needs to work on some hospitality training up front. The food was great, the prices reasonable ($36 for three meals), and the wait service and speed were exceptional. Some people might have been turned off by the initial reception and missed a quick and fresh breakfast, so I hope they remedy the hostess situation soon. It also has the BEST coffee we've ever had - and that includes the decaf my husband has to drink. I had the Baconado omelette with fresh whole grain bread (baked on site), my husband had the blueberry quinoa pancakes with cinnamon blueberry butter, and our friend had avocado toast with bacon and some scrambled eggs. Everything was FRESH and DELICIOUS! Added bonus: not the first bit of browned egg on my omelette! I can't praise this restaurant enough. A little disappointed with my dish. I got eggs Benedict and the eggs were overcooked. Everything else was OK. But when I asked for new eggs one was straight up cooked all the way and the other one was ok. The whole point of eggs Benedict is for the yolks to be runny. It's the best part! The server also didn't follow up so I just didn't eat the eggs. You would think a brunch spot can cook a poached egg. I know I sound critical but I really mean no harm by it. We joined the waitlist on yelp, so when we walked in we only waited 2 mins before we were sat. I love that when you order coffee you get a whole pot on the table, and it stayed hot the whole time! We started with the million dollar bacon which was a seasonal special, and it was delicious (wish it would have been a little more crispy) My husband got the traditional breakfast with the chicken sausage, and I got the Tri-fecta with the pork sausage. Plentiful menu, I opted for the Trifecta which included two eggs, waffle or pancake, sausage or bacon. The breakfast was served beautifully. Hubby ordered the carrot cake and pecan pancakes with a side of the Milliion Dollar Bacon. My goodness, that bacon was worth every penny of the $4.99 for 4 slices. In case other Yelpees have not described it, it was thick slices of bacon coated in brown sugar and cracked pepper drizzled with maple syrup. Super yummy!! I'm certainly a fan of First Watch, but this one is *very* busy. I feel that the one on Franklin Rd (About a mile away) is a better option. Regardless of which one you go to, make sure and use NoWait. This will allow you get in line before you arrive (or see if there is a wait at all). Even with the wait, which was roughly 25 minutes when we left to arrive we only waited 5 minutes. The service was slow, but not unexpected because of how busy it was.
