First Watch is always busy! We wanted to go to a location closer to our hotel but it was almost an hour wait. We found this location that was off the highway on the drive down. We had put our names down online, so we didn't wait long when we got there. Maybe 15-20 minutes? My mom got a hot chocolate to start. It looked beautiful! Didn't get to try it but I'm sure it was good. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. Delicious but a regret, since it gave me a stomach ache. I knew it would since I can't do dairy too well, but really wanted it. Still so good and worth it!! My parents shared blueberry pancakes and got themselves a side of eggs each. We love First Watch and frequent one close to us in Nashville. We were excited to find a location near where we were staying while visiting family and this was a very good restaurant. We got two seasonal juices and they were flavorful and a nice contrast to our breakfast skillets. We both had the farmhouse skillet and it's really a delicious meal. The service was great as well and they did a really good job getting everyone served despite the restaurant being crammed with patrons. One of the worst brunch experiences ever. After waiting to be seated we received our hot coffee, but as I put the cream in, I noticed a floating dead bug. Waitress seemed mildly annoyed that I didn't want to eat a bug, but other than that the service was alright, she was decently attentive, noticing when we flagged her down; she was just definitely not having a good day I guess. It's very light and good, a little sweet but not too much so Green Chile chorizo omelette: egg itself along with all ingredients were cooked perfectly. Light and fluffy. I would like a little more seasoning, salt and pepper, and that would make this perfect. I'd also like a little more chorizo, but I know this restaurant is a little more on the healthy side so they may have done this for a reason. The avocado inside was also very good, but I wish it was diced as the pieces were a little too big. It also came with a side salad that I could do without, as it wasn't dressed nicely. A great place to have brunch. It was my daughter's birthday and we stopped at this place for a few vegetarian items. The service is good to very good. Most of the food sounds really good as described on the menu BUT once served - or at least tasted - I've found it disappointing, to put it mildly. They seem to try far too hard to make their dishes extra special, but in my experience, this has yet to be achieved. The one exception is their home fries. These are good. Generally, all of their dishes are priced on the higher side. I'd give them a $$$ symbol. example: To have eggs, bacon and potatoes comes out to around $20 with tip. Oddly enough without the meat, the cost isn't that much less. The worst part by far of this particular branch of First Watch is that it is extremely noisy ... especially when it's full! My buddy and I had to leave early yesterday because we simply could not hear each other without yelling. I'm very conflicted in writing this review because I LOVE First Watch. However, I always struggle in going here unless I wake up and immediately get there while simultaneously just not being hungry. I think the food is the bee's knees but the wait destroys it for us. When you have to convince a preschooler to sit for an hour after you put your name into one of their services like NoWait an additional hour beforehand, it's the pits. I always get the market breakfast skillet when we go, my husband gets the typical bacon and eggs breakfast, and my daughter gets whatever we can get her to eat that day. I've never had anything here I didn't like and I do swear we've changed it up here and there, but the wait times cause us to only come every few months so I usually get what I know I like. The environment is always inviting but the staff is hit or miss. The hostesses are usually not very friendly (and understandably so dealing with 10 people per 2 minute span) I've had wonderful servers there, but have also had my entire plate of food spilled on me accidentally by a waitress who was lackluster in general, along with another very awkward server at another point who could not hear us enough to take our orders. I have also noticed dirty dishes and water carafes here, along with nonworking coffee carafes. Basically First Watch is a total "s-show" and you never know what your experience will be like when you're there. Could have a great breakfast, could have zucchini in your water. read more

This place is extremely busy. Yes, the food is good. Is it worth the hassle though? Luckily, through Yelp you are able to put your name on a "list" but is not really a list because you still have to be put on a separate list upon arrival. We arrived around noon on Saturday and the line was out the door. I did sign in and check in but we still waited over 30 minutes for a table to be ready. During our wait, of course there wasn't any coffee ready out front. I politely asked for them to refill it and was surprised when one of the waitresses went to refill right away. Bad news; she never came back with coffee. The menu is great. I do enjoy all of the healthy options, which is only reason for 3 stars. I'm an omelette gal. I remember the last one I got at a First Watch was extremely watery and undercooked. I specifically asked for them to cook it a little longer and it came out just fine. Service, they're busy. I get it. However, the attitude from the hostess upon arrival and departure was absolutely awful. I'm sorry I inconvenienced you by coming in to eat on a Saturday. Afterwards when I asked to split our check, I got the attitude of a lifetime. Snatched my debit card out of my hand, threw the pen and check to me to sign. This is the main reason for my poor experience here. Love First Watch!! My husband and I are avid patrons to diners on Sunday mornings. We love all the greasy truck stop diners, but First Watch is always a nice change of pace! My kids split the chocolate chip pancakes. Everything was delicious. Coffee is excellent! Waitresses was nice, and pretty quick service too. We came near closing time, and it was still fairly busy, but the bathrooms could definitely use a cleaning. OMG Pulled the description from their website: Bob's Red Mill® Cheddar Parmesan cheese grits topped with thick-cut braised pork belly bacon, two poached cage-free eggs, pickled peppers and fresh herbs. The hostess staff was really nice. They have a wide selection on the menu. Everything from eggs & waffles to sandwiches and soup. It was difficult to decide. Two downfall are they do not have alcohol and very little outdoor seating. They also sat us at a table that was a little crammed for 6 People. I got the breakfast taco, which were pretty good but could have had more in them. My friends got omlets, Salads, sandwiches and eggs Benedict. Everyone enjoyed their food & it came out quick.
