Although the name of this place makes me scratch my head (sounds more like a retail shop or boutique), the food is quite good. We went on a busy Sunday morning. On the website, you are able to add your name to the waitlist and given an estimated wait time. We did this prior to arriving, and when we showed up we only waited a few minutes before we were seated which was nice because this place was packed! The menu is pretty extensive, with both breakfast and lunch options. They include the estimated calories for each dish which is nice for those keeping track. They also have a range of healthy options to the less healthy options which of course my eyes were drawn to. We ordered coffee and were brought a carafe for the table -- another plus. I ordered the "chickichanga" which is a breakfast style chimichanga with whipped eggs, chicken and chorizo topped with 'Vera Cruz' sauce. It was absolutely delicious and the yellow sauce on top was amazing. Our waitress was friendly and attentive but unfortunately, two out of the other three people I was dining with had their orders either messed up or missing something which is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. read more

Easy breakfast/lunch place with reliable food. Nothing that you leaves you craving more but again your standard breakfast fare. I like that they give you an entire pot of coffee for your coffee order. It's nice to be able to top off and refill on your own. We also had oj and apple juice which were full glass sizes. This is a big win in our book! I had the avocado toast with eggs. They were served perfectly and even accommodated my gluten free toast request. My daughter had the BLT sandwich, which also had cheese on it. She wasn't the biggest fan of the Swiss cheese and due to the warmish bacon, it was partially melted. I met a friend for breakfast at her favorite breakfast restaurant which is First Watch, in Village Park, on Greyhound Pass. She has many severe allergies and First Watch does an excellent job preparing her meal exactly as requested and checking all ingredients. We walked into a small wait of less than 15 minutes. Seating consists of 4-top tables, booths and 1/2 booths with banquette seating. This First Watch recently had a comestic face lift with a new paint job and a few changes to the wall decor. The dark greenish-gray walls are very attractive and compliment the decor very well. We were seated at a 4-top table away from the high traffic area. Our server was very personable and appeared to truly enjoy her job. She didn't rush us for a decision and could tell we hadn't seen each other for awhile and needed to catch up. The menu is diverse with many healthy options as well as Waffles, Pancakes and French Toast. My favorite was the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes but they have removed from the menu. Totally Bummed!! Omelettes, Frittatas, Eggs Benedicts, 3 types of Skillet Hash, Biscuit and Turkey Sausage Gravy to Breakfast Tacos or Chimichanga are some of the options available. They will work with you to create your meal the way you need. My girlfriend ordered the Build Your Own Omelette without milk/butter products of any kind (including any within dried mixes or seasonings) and served with two side dishes of diced potatoes and dried wheat toast. I ordered the Frittata Rustica which is a classic Italian-style omlette with kale, roasted cremimi mushrooms, onions and tomatoes, topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. The omlette was served with lemon dressed, organic mixed greens and ciabatti bread. The Frittata was full of fresh, organic ingredients with a wonderful blend of flavors. Our server turned out to be a true delight and keep the coffee cafe, and creamer, filled for the hour and half we were there. Finally branched out in ordering something other than the avocado toast! As I was walking around before getting seated a noticed a lot of people ordering the sandwiches that looked amazing! So this time around I opted for the pick two with tomato basil soup and the ham and Gruyère melt. The tomato Basil had great flavor and didn't seem to be too much cream dominated. The ham and Gruyère was good but could use a bit more Gruyère if you ask me. My dad ordered the granola bowl which was filled with fresh fruit and yogurt. I did find it a bit odd that grapes were in the fruit but he didn't seem to mind. His granola bowl also came with a muffin of the day which happened to be blueberry. This place is always awesome and normally very pleasant. However, today was different. I walked in to have lunch as I was driving thru and I know the food is out of this world. The hostess greeted me and asked me if I wanted to sit at the community table because it is just me. I decline as I had my work computer and I wanted privacy. Next thing you know, she mumbles and starts to walk and mumbles something. As she approaches the table that I am going to sit, she keeps walking (her back towards me, I might add) and lays the menu on the table and while she is walking away she says another mumble statement. I can't tell you what she says because she was not looking at me or facing me when she was talking. She kept walking forward. Nevertheless, I figured that I should on the table that the menu has been placed. Evan (I think that is how you write his name) approaches me and very pleasant takes my order. The food was amazing as always. I have the farmhouse skillet with over easy eggs. The flavor just works together between the saltiness, the sourness and the sweetness from the potatoes. As I walk to the hostess, I see the same lady as before that could not look at me earlier. I asked her if she was the Manager and she was or is! I was shocked that someone that lacks customer service would be a manager because the way that she carries herself is the way her team will carry herself. However, in the team was great!! I had never been to this place and honestly did not even know it was there even though that I have been shopping in this area all the time. I was very excited to try it for the first time. I of course like always looked at the menu ahead of time and was excited to try one of the three things that looked so good on their website as well as others reviews on yelp! We started out with the Million Dollar Bacon that they have right now and it was so tasty. We got it for the table and it comes with 4 pieces of bacon and I honestly could have eaten it all myself. It was that good! Highly recommend. I then decided to get the CHILE CHORIZO OMELET and it was very tasty. I did substitute the toast for a biscuit and I highly recommend doing that. I also got a salad instead of the potatoes and the dressing was light and delicious! The omelet was everything that I had hoped for and I was very happy with the spice level and the freshness of it all. I would for sure go back to try some different things on their menu. There was a wait, which was absolutely understandable and expected. Was told 25-30 mins, it was 35, again, absolutely fine. Seated promptly at a booth at 12:20pm. Waitress was super nice and sweet, order taken approx. 12:25pm. The reason for the lower score was primarily due to the food. The tastes and flavors were all there and good, but unfortunately everything was lukewarm at best and several items were cool/room temp. The million dollar bacon was lukewarm, not warm at all honestly. Tomato Basil soup, delicious, but lukewarm, Parm Hash-Skillet Bowl, very lukewarm (medium eggs on top-cold), french toast was cool/room temp, but the berry compote was hot. Chicken Salad melt was so cool that the melted cheese came off when cutting it. After ordering, it took 45ish, maybe even 50 mins to receive our food (it was about 1:10-1:15pm). Since it was all lukewarm/cool, we assume that it had been made, but was sitting a while. Either the kitchen failed to let the waitress know or maybe she was just so busy she didn't hear it was ready or was aware and got sidetracked or forgot for a bit. The tastes and flavors were there, but since it wasn't super warm or hot, it greatly diminished the meals. Probably will not be back for an extended period, just too many options in the area (Cafe Patachou, Wild Egg, Rosie's, Lincoln Square, etc.) to wait that long for disappointment. My favorite item on the menu is the Million Dollar Bacon. This is automatically a part of my order every visit. Delicious bacon baked with brown sugar and a maple syrup drizzle, so good!! This time around I paired the MDB with a side order of biscuits & gravy. I know I've ordered this in the past but this time the gravy seemed different. It was very soupy and looked with gravy you'd put on your turkey for thanksgiving, I was not a fan. My fiancé ordered the Bacado Omelet cooked with egg whites, a biscuit and potatoes. This trip to First Watch was overall a disappointment. I ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich, which normally comes with fresh, over-easy cage-free egg with bacon, Gruyere cheese, fresh smashed avocado, mayo and lemon dressed arugula on a brioche bun. Served with fresh, seasoned potatoes. I ordered the sandwich with scrambled eggs instead of over-easy and the waitress specifically asked if I would like the egg cooked over-hard instead of scrambled because the scrambled eggs might fall off and I still insisted on getting scrambled because I do not like over-hard eggs. Well, when the sandwich came it was over-hard and not scrambled which was just comical because I specifically said that is what I did NOT want... anyways, the potatoes had good seasoning and tasted good, but nothing super special.
