I want to like First Watch, I really do. Why can they not cook an egg properly? We have eaten at the Chamblee location numerous times. The eggs are always over cooked! On an Eggs Benedict dish, the poached egg should have a runny yoke. Ours were more like hard boiled eggs on top of some raw spinach or cold ham with some watered down hollandaise sauce on top. We left very disappointed. I would not be writing this if it was the only time our eggs were well done. We have gone there half a dozen times and 5 out of 6 times our eggs were well done. Learn how to cook them properly please. We will look for a new breakfast spot after our experience today. read more

Today was my first time and my last time eating here. When my husband and I first walked in the guy who seated us seemed to have a very aggressive attitude. At first I didn't think anything more about his attitude but it was later confirmed when I stepped up to pay my bill. The food was ok and our server was attentive and friendly however this particular guy at the register spoiled the entire experience! Not only did he snatch my debit card from my hand but he slapped down my receipt to sign as he proceeded to tell me the top copy was his and blah blah blah as he walked off and said have a nice day in a very rude and condescending manner. Once I started to walk away from the counter I noticed him come back for the receipt and I couldn't help but to wonder why this man would be so rude to me, was it because of the color of my skin?? I love going to First Watch for brunch. It makes it super convenient that I can add my name to the waitlist online and save some time. Wait lines are long depending the time you show up and service is a bit slow but super friendly. read more

When not busy, they provide great service and food. However, they simply cannot manage large crowds. The area around the entry is too small, and they don't seem to have enough staff to manage check in and paying your bill which results in long, interwoven and complicated lines. read more

I ordered food over a phone. When i place the order it was 12:48pm they told me to check in 20 min, I got there at 1:20pm just like they ask and when i got there the guy told me you ordered at 9:00 am and we sold your food with a smile on his face. I had to close my store to go pick up that food. Also the workers were laughing about it. I don't see why it was funny. I told him never mind and left. I'm not trying to complain or discriminate but play with people's time and laughs about it instead of apologizing wasn't the right move. read more

I've been to the Decatur location and it's always very busy but I always enjoyed the food and good parking. This new location was very good but the parking was a problem on a weekday. I can't imagine what the weekend is like. It was much quieter which I like. I took my 90 year old aunt and she enjoyed her Cobb salad and soup. Poor service and food isn't all that good especially not worth the 45 min wait for a party of 2. Servers are not nice. My friend had to send her omelette back 3 times because they couldn't get the order correct (no onions)! And they brought my avocado toast out with minced tomatoes and pieces of bacon vs what I requested which was whole slices of both on top! So simple but they could not execute! Haven't been to First Watch in a couple of years due to bad food at another location. I decided to try this location out and the food was a lot better. The service staff on the other hand needs some work. The day of my visit, 3 people (myself included) came in at the same time waiting to be seated. It took some time for the 3 individuals to be seated. Two of the patrons (myself and another customer) were greeted almost immediately by the wait staff taking drink orders. The other customer was (who was seated first) waited and waited to have his first visit by a team member. Myself and the other customer got our drinks, had our food ordered and brought to us before the first customer was even greeted by the wait staff. He had to initiate the contact, which is unacceptable. This was a weekday morning and the restaurant was not overly busy like it was a Saturday morning. I know in the day and time we are in things are a little different than what we are accustomed but when I see wait staff sitting at customer tables chatting when there are customers waiting at their tables for their first visit from a team member, that's an issue. First Watch, please do better. Clearly, the management needs to review appropriate customer service for a restaurant. read more

I don't even know where to begin. My boyfriend and I went to brunch at First Watch on Sunday, and it was wildly anticipated, as I am a brunch-lover (best meal of the day!) It was a 30-minute wait for a two-top. Upon gazing the parameters of the small restaurant, I noticed there were several people waiting, however there were also several tables that were empty, but the restaurant staff had not gotten to them to clear/flip them for the next customers. During the duration of our visit to the place, this factor did not change. That's issue #1. 30 minutes later, it's time to sit down. They sit us on the patio area, which was preferable considering it was a lovely day outside. It literally took 14 minutes of us sitting there looking around for a waiter to finally approach us and ask if someone had come by yet. Unacceptable. Two other waiters passed by our table within this time, and they helped the tables on each side of us, but they paid no attention to our barren, unattended table. Finally, a waitress who was serving the table next to us stopped by and asked if anyone had been by; at this point it had been 14 minutes since we were seated. We told her that we had not yet been helped, and she apparently informed her manager. The manager came out approximately 2 minutes later and said, "have you been helped? Do you know what you want?" She apologized, but it wasn't heart felt. She took our order and left. A few minutes later the waiter who was supposed to be tending to us came to our table with waters (finally) and said "how long have you been here? nobody told me I had a table." He was acting irritated with the restaurant, as if it was someone else's fault that he was not paying attention to his own table. That was the only time we saw him; he never came back to serve us. A different waiter delivered our food about 15-20 minutes later. Referring to the food as "gross" is an understatement. I ordered avocado toast, without the toast, and added fruit - so it was basically a scoop of crushed avocado, two under-done eggs and a small cup of mixed fruit. There was a copious amount of coarsely-crushed salt on the avocado, which ruined it. I could have made it a thousand times better myself. My boyfriend ordered breakfast tacos, which looked old and dry, which he said were disgusting. He also ordered a pancake, which wasn't terrible, but nothing special. They do not have milk alternatives, like almond or soy, which is disappointing to the modern-day healthy eater and the lactose intolerant. In conclusion, we had a different waiter for each step of the service process; there was nobody who even deserved a tip, as nobody invested any interest or hospitality in our table. The manager ended up ringing us up at the register when we were done, and she had the audacity to fully charge us for everything. After such horrible service, and essentially being forgotten at our table, they charged us full price for the less-than-appetizing meals. My boyfriend is a softie, super sweet, so of course he still tipped 20%. Not sure who claimed the tip, but I assure you, nobody there deserved it. We will never go back. Neither will anybody we know, as there is nothing to boast about regarding this place. TERRIBLE! read more

We always have had good experience at all locations visited in Ga and Fl. Today was the 1st poor visit. Enough to walk out. We sat for over 10 minutes and they weren't busy period at 7:40 am. Host was drinking coffee and one server bused an empty table and the others talked to each other. No one acknowledged us in the 10 minutes at all. Other people seated after us had drinks served and ordered their food in that time. We walked out and it still didn't dawn on them to even see why. Busy Sunday brunch but not typical good quality. We waited about 30 minutes for a table and when several guests left we sat for another 15-20 minutes waiting for the open tables to be cleaned. My wife orders the eggs Benedict and the eggs were more cooked like hard boiled with fully cooked yokes. I had the chili chorizo omelette which was ok but had maybe a tablespoon of chorizo. Just moved to Atlanta and wasn't familiar with First Watch. We walked in on a Saturday around 10 and were able to sit immediately at the community table rather than wait 30 minutes for a table. We were impressed with the selection of healthier option as well as traditional breakfast/brunch items. We ordered the bacon/egg sandwich and the special of everything but the bagel. Both were delicious and we ate all of it. The coffee was good. The service was attentive especially for it being so busy. I highly suggest if you want something that isn't the Waffle House. read more

So it's Sunday morning and we used the app to reserve a table. Apparently this has no bearing on getting an actual seat at the restaurant. So we're standing under an awning in the rain. My husband went in to nicely ask about projected time for getting a table since it's way past the time they gave us previously and the snarky host snidely told him "we can seat you now outside" What a jerk - it's raining. This place is the worst. The parking lot is terrible to start, they don't have a large enough waiting area to sit more than 6 people. The people are nice but pretty novice when it comes to the service. They only have 1 register which is insane for a place that is suppose to be fast. I was pretty disappointed with my experience. I went to the Snellville location some months back and enjoyed it very much. I wanted to take my partner there because it was so good and this location was closer to us. We went for Sunday Brunch. We put our name on the waitlist and waited about 20 mins. Completely fine and expected. We sat at a booth, it took a minute for our waitress to come over to us. I let that slide. She didn't introduce herself, did't ask us how we were doing, we didn't receive a welcoming greeting at all. She went straight for it...asked us what we wanted to drink and if we were ready to order. We ordered our drinks, then our food. We asked for napkins and did get them until we had to ask again after we received our food. She just gave off she didn't want to be there at all. My partner said "Thank you" and she didn't say anything back. Just VERY dry and came off rude. In the middle of us eating the check was dropped off to us (I saw that our waitress name was Amy). Never returned to check on us. Table never got pre-bussed. We were just so ready to go, my partner went to the front to pay and get the car while I stayed behind so I can ask for a box. Eventually, after sitting at a dirty table for a little while she came and asked if I needed a box. I hate to mention who our waitress was but it just made our experience there memorable in a bad way. And it sucks because I said so many good things about First Watch. I am in the industry and I understand having bad days but customer service can make or break an experience. The food was the only reason I gave 2 stars. i visited this place recently and was sorely disappointed. i usually don't write reviews, but i feel this is a must. the place was NOT clean - not the dining area, nor the bathroom. But for me waiting almost an hour over my "reserved" time, I would have left. The food was average, it was cold. My main concern was the cleanliness of this place. The table and the floor was unclean and so were the glasses - we did not use them. Highly disappointed for this to be a fairly new establishment. read more

Terrible experience this Saturday morning for a place that has a great menu. We entered when the restaurant only had about 15 people seated, well before it eventually filled up. The food took 40 minutes to come out with no check ins or updates from the server at all. When it arrived, one of our egg orders was wrong (fried over easy versus fried fully cooked like we asked). When we sent it back, unbelievably it was cooked exactly the same way the second time. The servers were barely apologetic and seemed overwhelmed. This place needs more staffing and a more talented manager who can properly staff and lead a team during a busy Saturday. There were many other tables with patrons who appeared visibly frustrated with the length of service. Also, I can cook a better egg than their grill staff (not hard to fully cook an egg). Please do not visit. I have never in my life been treated so poorly by a staff in a restaurant​. We went on a weekday morning, and it was still pretty crowded, so I brushed off the fact we did not have any server come by in the usual fashion to being busy. But after the manager apologies​ to a​ couple that was seated after us for the wait, I was wondering what was going on. When the waiter finally came, we ordered immediately. After our order, the waiter did not come back. We noticed the people around us had food, and they came after us. Then the couple who received​ the apologised got their check and left before we even got our food. During the wait, the waiter never returned to ask if we wanted a refill on our beverages. For the price of the meal,​ you should at least get a refill on your ice tea. When I went up to pay, I didn't even have a check, so the manager gave me the check and didn't even say he was sorry for the poor service!
