Our first time here to give it a try. (Friday, Sept. 6, 2019). There was no line and we were immediately seated. Fist thing we noticed was the warehouse look and feel of the place. Open space with large glass...leads to large noise volume, its terrible. Bring you noise reducing headphones! The wait staff all wear orange aprons which further gives the look and feel that you are inside a home depot. We got menus and ordered coffee and juice. My wife ordered a chicken chonga burrito and I ordered the salmon eggs benedict. The burrito was giant sized, and my eggs benedict were well prepared. Busy, busy, busy. Highly recommend joining the waiting list ahead of time as you will end up waiting for a bit. We waited roughly an hour and a half on a Saturday to get a table without the waiting list. They do have free coffee and water for those waiting which is a plus. The Eggs Benedict was just ok but the Breakfast Tacos were amazing A+ dish. The coffee was weak which was disappointing so I hope they improve the strength/quality. I will say leaving a full pot on the table is convenient though. I was told the breakfast chimichangas are great so I will be back to try those. read more

Today was my first time here although I heard about this place when it first opened in the area...the food was great! I ordered the traditional eggs, bacon, artisan toast and potatoes with a side of avocado and a iced coffee. My husband got the banana crunch pancake and eggs with orange toast. Both of us enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back. Portion size was filling and staff was friendly. I had visited one in Hershey, PA and thought it would be fun to take my kids for New Year's Day brunch. Thinking ahead, I place my name on the waitlist so that we wouldn't have to wait long. We arrive at the suggested time and I'm informed that in the past hour they received numerous takeout orders and that would push my wait time back another 40 minutes. That was after my initial wait time of 45-60 minutes and there were 7 tables ahead of me. Sorry, with 3 kids, that is just not a feasible endeavor. Great food, but they need to buss their table quicker. There will be a 20 minute wait and 6 tables will sit empty that entire time.

I had the most phenomenal Crab Meat Omelet at First Watch. The food was superb for brunch with my daughter. I was visiting from California, which I do often, so have been to many breakfast places in South Jersey. This is one of my favorites to sit outside on a nice summer day and enjoy their summer menu. In a time when restaurants are struggling to find help we were lucky enough to have Vincent as our waiter. He was by far the most attentive server I have had in a long time. The wait would've been 45 minutes for a seat and I have a certain time limit that that would exceed if not for the community table. Everyone was nice and it was very interesting to sit with strangers and share a meal together for a change. They all talked about what their plans were for the rest of the day or conversed about topics they related on. The waiter did make a couple mistakes with our order, but it was an incredibly busy Saturday afternoon, so it's understandable. I had a belgian waffle (can you tell it's my favorite) with bacon and my mom had french toast. Both meals were pretty good and I especially liked the butterfly pea drink. It's a really pretty shade. What a great place. Love the decor! Huge menu - a little overwhelming to be honest, but so many wonderful choices. I went with the avocado toast and side of grits with butter. Grits were yummy. One small thing that would make the avocado toast platter perfect would be to serve the avocado room temp and not freezing cold. It makes everything else on the plate cold. The food was delicious and the staff was nice. Thursday: no wait was seated promptly. Waitress was super friendly. Food was just as good on Thursday as it was on Sunday when it was crazy. They leave the coffee on the table which is nice. My only complaint is that they use the single serve creamers. Literally the worst service you can imagine! I've tried this place three times on three separate occasions and it gets worst and worst. BE PREPARED to wait even when you put your name down on the waitlist. My last visit here I put my name on the waitlist at 9:45, only to be told at 10:50 that they accidentally took name off the list to be seated. After watching multiple people come in and get seated we were finally seated. What is the purpose of a waitlist if your still waiting once you get there. If you don't mind waiting EVERY TIME you come here for ok food then this place is for you. BTW management is no help. I will never come here again. read more
