My family used to be Turning Point people, but First Watch's technology, service, and food have converted us. First off, we like the updated reservation times online and on Yelp. My brother has the app too. As with any brunch place in the area, we still have a little bit of a wait sometimes especially after 10:30am on the weekends. The food here is so good. None of us have ever had anything bad! Well, I didn't particularly care for the million dollar bacon, but I don't like sweets. We all love the rotating seasonal menu. During our recent visit, we loved the short rib benedict, and my brother like his mushroom frittata. My favorite thing has to be their potatoes though. I love how they are soft in the middle with a charred crust on the outside. So naturally, the skillets are a nice choice - very filling. Another main I like is the chickichanga, but it's deep-fried tortilla with chicken and chorizo, so I'll only allow myself to eat it once in a while. On the healthier side, I like to get the smoked salmon omelet with feta instead of parmesan + cream drizzle. Love how you can get a side salad with any of your meals! Came on a weekend and you will definitely benefit using the call ahead seating through their app. We live about half an hour away and was able to be seated immediately for a table of 4. Decided to go here for my daughter's birthday and well for the atmosphere we expected better. So even before the food came we met our waitress who's name we never knew because she never introduced herself. As we were giving her our food order with some customizations, I said to her wow you will remember all this without a note pad and she says "I don't need that, this is my job" and I was well ok. So our food comes and one of our guest order is completely messed up. Theres added items, items she asked to remove and things not changed. Waitress was told what happened and she kind of giggled and said sorry and walked away. She never checked on us, was reaching over people's plates, and was just rude. I ordered for pickup/takeout using the First Watch mobile app. The order was placed on 4/19 @ 10:28. The confirmation indicated that the order would be ready for pickup at 10:48. I arrived at the restaurant earlier than 10:48. I was hoping perhaps my order would be ready at the pickup counter. It wasn't, so I didn't mind waiting until 10:48 for my order. My promised pickup time came and went without any sign of my order anywhere. Although the hostess initially asked if I was waiting for a table, she never bothered to inquire further even though I was in the waiting area for close to 30 minutes. The designated "mobile order" waitress appeared from the kitchen from time to time with orders for pickup, but never mine. Then it completely stopped. I saw all the waitressing staff just standing around in the kitchen with no activity. At which point I realized no one was working on my order or if they even knew about my order. I inquired about the status of my order with the hostess. At this point, it was close to 15-20 minutes past the promised pickup time. She went to the kitchen area. From my observation, it looked to be that they were looking for my order and at which point hurried to start the order. This took another 5-10 minutes. When she finally came out with the order. No apology or anything. The hostess just simply stated that all the items should be in the bag. I had to ask her what was the problem. She told me that when they are busy, they do not prioritize pickup orders and they do not work on them. So it's best not to do pickup orders. First Watch proudly advertises the convenience of mobile ordering to avoid waiting, yet I had to wait anyway. On top of that, I had to find out that First Watch doesn't really honor mobile orders for pickup. Additionally, First Watch doesn't seem to want to admit fault when failing to fulfill what was promised. Please retrain staff and review workflow. read more

Great brunch spot! Prices are pretty reasonable, and the food is great. My favorite is the Elevated Egg Sandwich. The egg is nice and runny, and the brioche bun is the perfect accompaniment to the inside of the sandwich. The only downside is that it's usually crazy packed there on weekends, so the wait times can be a little long. read more

I've been coming here way too much lately. We needed a good local breakfast brunch spot and first watch did it! Turning point is terrible and the food tastes just like diner quality. First watch on the other hand has fresh blended juices. I love the kale tonic. There's gotta be some sugar added because there's no way drinking kale is that delicious! Either way, it's my go to drink every time. Their avocado toast is heavenly. Multigrain toast covered in a thick layer of fresh avocado and 2 eggs on the side. The trifecta is also a great choice. I've tried their waffles and pancakes. Both multigrain but taste even better than regular waffles. This place tends to get pretty busy on weekends so I usually check in online first. A long wait, but the food was worth it. There is one SMALL communal table that is first-come, first-served. Our waitress was very calm and pleasant and competently wrote down our order which was made correctly. The wait for food was over 20 minutes. The biggest issue? Waiting in a LONG LINE to lay for our meal. They should have portable, WiFi connected card readers to do the job at the table itself as they do throughout Canada. Food: the food here is great! I love that there are so many healthy options. The veg omelette is filled with fresh veggies, goat cheese, and sweet shallots. It's delicious and I love that it comes with a salad. You can ask for potatoes instead - which are delish too. The coffee is better than most of these kinds of restaurants in the area. And I like that they leave the coffee carafe on the table so you don't have to keep asking for refills. The maple syrup comes in a warm bottle if you order pancakes. They include all the classic breakfast options, too. So there's something for everyone. But I'm just appreciative of a place that has so many options for vegetarians or those wanting to eat a bit healthier. For anyone worried about the wait, download their free app and check in before you go. You almost get seated immediately that way. Suggested changes: I'm not going to hammer you for the service issues I've experienced so far because you're so new. I know that takes time and I assume (or hope) you're continuing to train and manage the service staff. I really think you need to implement a water policy. I've been here 4 times since you opened and no one brings water. When you ask and they finally do, they bring a tiny little glass milk jug that you have to keep asking to refill. Servers should bring it automatically and someone in the front of the house should be going around to replace empty ones on their down time. I agree with the other commenters about the creamer choices and table clutter. You seem to take such care with other healthy options - let's bring in some non-chemically laden creamer and non-dairy milk alternatives, like oat or coconut. Good things take time. So this rating has nothing to do with the wait time. Service So this is the reason for the 3 star rating from me. When I checked in with the hostess, you check in using your name and phone number. She had trouble inputting my number for some reason, I don't even know why. I mean my area code is from out of town, but I couldn't have been the first person she encountered that had a different area code. It was so packed in the waiting area, we waited outside. She told us wait time was around 23 minutes. Ok cool. 30 minutes passed so I just went in to just see how many people were ahead of us. Ok cool, 2 were ahead of us. We decided to wait right inside the initial entrance but not all the way inside if that makes any sense since we knew we were close. Well about 10 minutes later, I hear "last call for Melanie" and I walked in really fast (maybe I ran haha I don't know) but I said I didn't hear a first call. And she said, "Well good thing you were inside". No text no nothing. And no it was not funny and you should not have been joking because you didn't know how to put my phone number in your own tablet. So that didn't give me a great impression to begin with. For the rest of the service, my server and some of the other people working there just looked lost. Either they were tired, confused or just not excited to be there, it showed. Our server came to us, never got her name because she didn't introduce herself and the first thing she said "oh let me get you fresh coffee" when we didn't order it. I didn't stop her because I wanted it but still, seemed like she meant to say that to another table she had already helped. We were a little confused. Food The saving grace was the food! It was really good. So I think once they're past them hopefully working out some of their kinks, I'll return because I'm always in the area. But I got the Market Skillet Hash and my husband got the Farmhouse Skillet Hash. That meal came with a side of toast and fruit. I only wished that my potatoes were cooked a little bit more done, as I prefer it more on the crispy side. The flavors were great tho! The food did not take long to come out at all. Also, you have to try their coffee. The flavor was really good... and come to think of it, I should have bought a bag to go as they do sell it at the counter! The only other thing I can think of that was awkward was that the tables were so small. With the coffee pot, glasses of water, coffee mug, bowl of creamer, sugar packets, utensils and a little promo sign for their juice, there was not much room on the table. It felt really cramped and I was easily knocking stuff over. Overall, newer establishment, so they've got some things to improve on. The food is really great. We decided to get breakfast at turning point today. They don't take reservations but they do have virtual que which I love. Reminds me of fast pass or the virtual line for Rise of the Resistance. The place is clean and well spaced out. They had tables outside but they were all full so we opted for inside. The food we really enjoyed. The bacon was cooked perfectly and crispy, my wife's scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and her waffle was very good too. The breakfast potatoes were delicious, and well seasoned. I had eggs Benedict Florentine. The eggs were great and the tomato, avocado and spinach were so fresh. The ciabatta it was served in was good too. The most difficult part of my visit here was trying to find parking! Luckily, someone pulled out of spot for me to sneak on in and it wasn't a problem. I went inside to put in my name for my group of 4 and I was told that the wait would be 20 - 30 minutes. Since there wasn't much room to wait inside the building, I sat out in my car for my friends to arrive and then I got a text just 5 minutes later that our table was ready! That was super quick, so that was a nice surprise. The staff was very friendly as well. We went for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was so hard to choose what to order since the whole menu looked delicious! I ended up ordering the Florentine Eggs Benedict, which was so good. Next time I go, I'll probably want to try something different, because now I want to try everything! My friends really enjoyed their pancakes (which was one big super pancake for each of their meals!). My friend Kristin and I are here for the second time to try the food! The restaurant was full but we were sat in minutes. We were promptly greeted by Jay, who is a vibrant and informative server. Kristin ordered the Chickichanga and I ordered the Elevated Breakfast Sandwich. The Million Dollar Bacon came out worth a Billion. This dish has the perfect amount of candsweetness and crispness, and finishes off with a kick of heat left in the back of your throat. The flavor profile was PERFECTION!! The Lemon Ricotta Cakes speak for themselves and don't need much description. The aroma of the lemon topping was pungent and fresh and the cakes were fluffy and decadent. We will most definitely order these pancakes again! The Chickichanga left a little bit to be desired. We expected a slight heat and more of a kick. Kristin had expected a more authentic Mexican taste, where the dish tasted more like a rolled omelette. The Elevated Breakfast sandwich was light and nice to eat. The arugula was fresh and not overpowering. Overall amazing. We will be back. The bacon alone is enough to come back! The atmosphere of bed and breakfast/ family farm is comforting and welcoming. Suggested this place after seeing ads on Facebook to my boyfriend who wanted, no, needed a breakfast sandwich. Needless to say, he did not get a breakfast sandwich but thoroughly enjoyed his FarmHouse Hash. I, on the other hand, had the best chicken salad i've ever eaten in my entire life. The food can be a hit or miss. It can be good, it can be ok, it's just inconsistent. My issue is when we order to go, whether that's online ordering or directly from a waiter, we are always missing items. It would be nice if they redid their review process before the food is brought out to us. Today we were rushed and given our check midway through our meal. We have been to several other First Watch locations. We always get the same dishes; avocado toast, AM superfoods bowl, million dollar bacon, power breakfast quinoa bowl and Kale tonic juice. Everything was great as usual but the only issue I had was with the coconut milk chia seed pudding in the AM superfoods bowl. It was more of a clump than a milk base. I used to think turning point was good until I found first watch cherry hill. They use the freshest of vegetables and meats and their breakfast comes out perfect EVERY TIME. They give you coffee while you wait which is a huge plus. You can tell they actually care about how great the food comes out rather than just quickly serve customers. My first visit here was really great. But maybe I was just pulling wool over my eyes. The second visit.. anything but great. The coffee really sucks. It's bitter and burnt. They only have a bowl of creamers at the table and none fresh or cold. I hated the coffee the first time as well but ignored it. The meal I chose the second time was full of water at the bottom of the bowl. It was a breakfast bowl. Not made well at all and the amount of food I got was a disappointment for it being a breakfast bowl. The first time I got a breakfast bowl it was a large portion and filled me. I went to First Watch on 2/16 for the first time. I was told a 10 minute wait and I was seated in 10 minutes. The server came and told us she would bring coffee. I stopped her and asked for an iced tea. When the server returned, I placed my order of the "Healthy Wrap" no cheese, but avocado instead. My dining companion ordered the turkey sausage gravy with biscuits. She also asked for regular milk instead of the mini moo type of creamers on the table. As an aside, we were the only table that did not get water. The server returned came back and told me there was a 50 cent up charge for the avocado. I said no worries. A few tables were seated next to us and, shortly thereafter, there food arrived. Understanding this is a new restaurant I wasn't too upset, however, when my food came it was wrong. The avocado was missing, jalapeños were in the wrap...not an item in this wrap and it was also missing the turkey. I waved down a member of the waitstaff and I explained the wrap was not correct. My server came over and I explained the problem. About 15 minutes later my breakfast came. It was pretty good-nothing spectacular. What bothered me was that no one apologized. I was told about a 50 cent up charge, but no one cared that my meal was wrong. When I paid at the register, I was not asked about my meal. I would have mentioned it...although, I doubt it would registered (yes, that was intended). Will I be back? Probably, I hope for a different result. read more
