I've visited this restaurant twice and both times i had an issue. The service was poor. Our waitress was treating my party like she was upset with us although I'm not sure why & she only came back once to check on us. I'm not sure how many tables she had so she could of been multitasking but it wasn't very busy from my perspective. The food was great, only thing different is at the Houston location i don't get charged for regular syrup. No biggie though, i will definitely keep going to the Houston location. read more

Something monumental would have to happen for us to ever eat here again. Specifically, the admission system needs to be fixed. There are at least three parallel competing waitlist systems, which leads to a completely unpredictable outcome for when you'll get seated. Let us know when this is fixed, and we'll consider coming back. Take reservations, and if you do a waitlist, do ONE system (ie, walk up and put your name on the list) not THREE. There was also not much help in finding gluten free options. Also, there was no fresh milk or cream for the coffee despite its "farm to table" theme. read more

Our Table of four came for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It's a good thing we were early because the place filled quickly. We were seated quickly and Dustin served us quickly with coffee and drinks. I had the Tri-athlete egg white omelet. It was amazing! I loved the thick toast that accompanied the meal. My companions had other breakfast choices that looked delicious and they ate every bite. Parking could be an issue later in the day. We parked at a place that didn't open until lunch. read more

In town visiting and stumbled on this place. I love pancakes for lunch, and the lemon ricotta ones were fantastic. I did not have any problems, but wanted to point out outstanding customer service. The next table said the pancakes were not the same as usual. A manager politely explained that shipments had not arrived due to hurricane Harvey...the batter was different...the manager allowed the patron to order something else which was brought right out to him. i've only had first watch once, but the food was so amazing, that's all it would take for me to know it's the real deal. i truly have never had better iced coffee in my life. the description is perfect: cold,sweet, & refreshing. it's the best thing to have in the summer and i honestly dream about it. my friend & i each got the farmhouse hash and it was perfectly seasoned & cooked. we also split the seasonal lemon blueberry quinoa pancakes which we're equally as delicious & fluffy. lemon & blueberry is one of my absolute favorite pairings and they did it beautifully. i almost found it hard to believe that this place is a chain, but also incredibly happy because there's a chance i can find it in many places. would definitely recommend!! read more

Poor service, mediocre food. We were a party of 3 and were seated promptly but from there things went downhill. One of us was given a coffee cup that was badly cracked and stained-this should have been obvious to the waitress. Only flavored creamer was on the table. Took the waitress a while to provide unflavored creamer which she casually tossed on the table....strange... The salad that accompanied my omelette had several pieces of old, slimy lettuce. This restaurant needs a serious, hands on manager to make sure the wait staff work in a professional manner and that the kitchen provides consistent, clean food. Great food every time. Silverware is always clean and the waitstaff are always pleasant and personable. When there is a wait, there is the option to have your meal at the 'Community Table" which is a pretty great idea if your party only has one or two people. It's a great place when it's not busy but don't bother on Friday or the weekend unless you want an eternal wait and terrible service. I wasn't sure how to rate this restaurant. If it was solely on the food it would be 5 stars, but the wait time wouldn't have been 1 star. We used the First Watch App and waited over an hour with that and then got to the restaurant when the app suggested our table would be ready and then waited another 25 minutes to actually be seated. On top of that, the table next to us ordered their food after us but got there food first. Now, the food itself was amazing. I've gone a couple times before and the food has been consistently good every time. I would highly suggest the potatoes as a side dish and the selection of juices and healthy options is great. read more
