The only problem is that we had come 1 hour earlier, and there was a business meeting and we were completely ignored by all staff and were not seated. Your business model is nonsense. My wife put our name on the list in College Station this morning at 9:45 and was told it would be about an hour. At 10:30 I checked and we still had 10 people in front of us. Fifteen minutes later there were 15 people ahead of us. The host said that they put people who put themselves on the waitlist using your app ahead of people who do that in person. I can understand allowing people to put themselves on the list online but not jumping people who walk in. We left after an hour when the number of people in front of us kept growing. The staff there kept telling me to use the app and we would get in. I don't need to waste space on my phone to eat breakfast. I have eaten at one of your restaurants in Dallas and didn't enjoy the food although the service was fine. My college son wanted to try it so I agreed to take him. Not only will I never patronize any of your restaurants again, neither will he or his friends( the entire Corps of Cadets of Texas A&M University). Ate here for the first time today. I drove around an hour to try First Watch, and then waited about 30 minutes to be seated, and that was with using the app once I was within 10 miles of the restaurant. The app does help with time but be prepared for the wait. However, once seated the food was fantastic- the coffee, yogurt, granola / energy bowl I had from the healthier options portion of the menu was phenomenal. I also got a side of whole grain bread with house made preserves and was quite impressed. With a friendly staff, great environment, and even better atmosphere & food, I definitely recommend first watch. I came here for the first time and really enjoyed my meal. I got the works omelette and it had a fair amount of meat and the serving was big. My friend got the trifecta with blueberry pancakes. The pancake was mediocre, a little over cooked. However, when I first arrived the waiter made it seem as if the coffee was complimentary. First Watch was what College Station needed! I'm from Houston and I miss having a good new American brunch place. Being able to wake up on a saturday and log onto the app and get in line is such a hugely convenient feature and I've come on weekday mornings and gotten sat immediately. The atmosphere is great and super cheerful I really like the decor. I've gotten the market skillet, egg sandwich the veggie burger, the pancakes (blueberry, chocolate, and some banana wheat grain), and a few of the juices! All the food tastes fresh and great but the egg sandwich and the pancakes were to die for. However, the way they prepare their potatoes are just a little too soft for me I like them a little crispier and more seasoned. BCS needs more places like this read more

Update after third trip here: I'm trying to be understanding that this is a new place, but over three times the service has gotten progressively worse. We made sure to go early to beat the church crowd. The no wait app said there was no wait...And we didn't wait to be seated but then the wait began. The waitress did bring us coffee when we sat down but wanted to take our order right away. We said we needed a minute, big mistake. She never came back. We did watch her take the order of a table of six that came in after us, ensuring we'd get our food in behind theirs. 20 minutes later I flagged down a server to go find her, he came back 5 minutes later and said she was too busy to take out order, so he took it. The place was still mostly empty at that point. We also asked him for water that never came. Eventually we had a sighting of our own waitress and asked her for water. The food however is great. I got the healthy turkey omelet. I did expect the onions and spinach to be cooked more and they went very heavy on the feta, but it was filling. My boyfriend got the chikichanga which was delicious. My other huge complaint is this is my third meal that has come with bread instead of toast. Next time I might bring my own toaster. This is a breakfast place, toast is a staple right? By the time we left the place was packed. We were there over an hour for only two of us. People wouldn't have to wait so long if they'd feed us and get us out of there. We had to track down the bill too... All that being said, we're giving the benefit of the doubt that it's a new place, and we want this place to succeed because this town needs a place like this so badly so hopefully they can get their act together read more

But don't bother coming here for breakfast/brunch on the weekend unless you use the NoWait App. We showed up around 9am a couple weeks ago, were told 45min-1h wait and after 48 min were told there were TWENTY TABLES in front of us. Twenty. Apparently you can check in with the app ahead of time and that puts you ahead of people who show up and wait in person. So after it was abundantly clear that we were never going to be seated, we left, along with about 20 other people who realized the same thing. The whole app thing is a joke. I came here for brunch for a coworker's birthday! It was so good! The atmosphere was calm and relaxed and the restaurant itself was really cute. A friend and I each ordered one of their specialty drinks. After a few minutes the waitress let us know that it would take a while to come out because they had to make a fresh batch, which was fine. A few minutes later she let us know there was a mixup and our drinks wouldn't be ready for a very long time. She offered us the option to wait or choose another juice instead, compliments of the manager. We each chose the Kale Tonic, which was a great choice. 20 minute wait so I was expecting to be impressed by the food. Potatoes had great flavor but were served cold. My entire plate was cold except for the hollandaise sauce on my eggs Benedict. Salvador was our server and he did a poor job. We waited for him to finish talking to his friends that were sitting next to us before we could ever get anything. I FINALLY got around to getting here for breakfast and I was pleased. I had the skilled hash with avocado. The portion was generous and I love the bread they use for the toast. We used the yelp app to check in and it helped cut down on the wait time. It seemed to take a little while to pay for everything and it felt a little congested as I stood in line since we had the hostess trying to get around us to seat people. I am from out of town visiting and stopped in First Watch to have breakfast The wait was 1 1/2 hours we waited for about 20 mins. And left. While there we witnessed some tables were empty the complete 20 mins. When asked hostess stated waiting on people from no wait list. Two tables had 1 person sitting at them while they waited for the rest of there party to show up - while there some one waited over 20 min for there party to show up - they were there when we arrived and still there when we left. read more

Breakfast is good but you have to use the app to get on the wait list. It's the only way to get seated. You can't call ahead and if you walk in without using the app you are placed behind people who used the app. When using the app you have to be in a ten mile radius to get "a place in line" which might not seem like a big deal unless you live out of the radius. Got a spot in line at 9:20 AM on the way here once we where in the check-in radius, arrived shortly after, checked in and waited 2 hours. The most frustrating part was the manager told us twice we had three parties a headed of us...only to find out you get bumped every time someone checks-in. They should tell you the actual number ahead of you. The process is frustrating and we will not return. read more

The problem with first watch is not the incredible food it was the hour wait and poor service

Quality has dropped very slightly. I stopped eating in a few months ago. I normally order "to go" and usually get my same order every time. Usually 90% correct ( missing toast or forgot to omit butter, always double check ). The HUGEST and most annoying and COMMON complaint is the time quoted for food to be ready. I continually wait and wait (with others) who wait and wait! I'm not talking 5-10 min. 20+ minutes !!!!!!! I come back for the quality food and wouldn't be on here if they would quote me somewhere in the vicinity of time! Hate, hate,hate complaining over and over again. Fix this !!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have not had a good first watch experience yet. All of my friends rave about it, so I decided to give it a try. I went a couple of months back and did not even get to eat. We went early on a Friday morning (around 8). Because of the online check-in thing (which we didn't know about) we spent about an hour waiting, only to find out that it was going to be even longer than that. So we left to get food where it would be faster. I decided to give it another try, just to give them the benefit of the doubt. This time, we planned ahead and did the online thing to get a table right away -- that was a super nice feature and I am not downplaying them for this one at all!! I really liked it when we learned to do it right! But after that nothing was super great. I ordered coffee and it came out kind of lukewarm. Like not burning hot and not cold, but cold enough that it was too cold to drink by the time I go halfway through the cup. I ordered the Bacado omelet. The eggs were slightly overcooked (although not inedible). My biggest problem here was with the avocado. It was brown. I tasted a little bit and it tasted like it had gone bad or had been sitting out for a few days. I was not impressed. When I showed my server and asked him if I could get some fresh avocado (because you know, mistakes happen), he seemed uninterested. He never brought fresh avocado (I'm sure he forgot because they were super busy, but he did not have a great attitude about the whole situation). This leads me into my third point. My server was incredibly annoyed with almost everything we asked him for. He was slow at refilling our drinks, rarely came by the table, and took almost 15 minutes to bring the check after we asked for it (which might be part of the long wait lines problem). I do not remember his name, but hopefully, it was just an off day for the guy and he is usually better. Overall, I was very disappointed with the service and the food. It is a great idea and I love the concept, I just don't want to pay for food that is subpar and takes forever. I am willing to try it again, but I will definitely be ordering something different! read more

I got an egg Benedict and it was okay. It wasn't outstanding. However, the iced coffee was really good. I would go back there for coffee but I don't know about the food. The best thing there was the seasoned potatoes. I also felt like the food was kind of cold, which I do not prefer.
