Great place for breakfast, and probably one of the best places in college station for brunch. I had some skillet breakfast dish with hashbrowns and eggs and such and was pleased. The pancakes are also A+. The major drawback is the reservation system and the wait times. Even when I made a reservation I had to wait for about 30 minutes after my reservation time which was annoying. They did have free coffee whoke you waited so that was nice. Our waitress was super friendly. I would return but knowing that I have to make a reservation and then expect to wait after my reservation time. read more

Management: Get more stations to checkout customers! There is only one way to pay...one checkout line! I really love the food, prices, interior, and service is pretty good...but come on! I ordered food to-go, and the checkout line was sooooooooooo long! I ended up having to give my check to a friend who just happened to be there (to pay for me) because I had to get back to school. Really nice fresh food. Coffee is delicious but no non dairy milk available. Avocado toast is very good. They are kind to substitute black beans for the eggs to make it vegan. Very few vegan choices. They do have oatmeal and açaí bowls available. I like the atmosphere and the fresh choices. My son love bed his French toast. We did get a side of potatoes that were slightly undercooked. read more

Awesome! This market-to-table establishment is amazing. The fresh options are available for breakfast until brunch/lunch at 2 p.m. We knew ahead of time that First Watch is usually a pretty crowded hot spot, so we used the no wait app. We were sat promptly. They offer a juice bar, which was a nice surprise. I opted for the Kale Tonic which is Kale, Fuji apple, cucumber and lemon. It was very refreshing! The special- maple bacon left me wanting more (in a good way)! I personally chose the Elevated Egg Sandwich. Something about the runny over easy egg combined with the cool avocado on top the brioche bun creates something magical. Got there early on a weekday so not very busy yet. I ordered the traditional, eggs over easy and bacon. It arrived quickly, but cold---eggs, potatoes, toast--not just a little bit warm but cold. Would have sent it back but didn't want to make a scene with my friend. Plus the bacon had clearly been cooked long before and just set aside--it was hard, brittle and, yes, cold. A manager stopped by the table and asked if everything was good; I said that it was "all right" with an implication that it could have been better. Our waitress and friendly and pleasant, so that was all good. I got the traditional breakfast, supposed to have eggs, choice of bacon, turkey or sausage links, with potatoes and multi grain toast. Got a day glow drink which was a carrot and orange juice drink. This was the only good thing here. Juice was excellent, truly. And that's the only reason I gave two stars. First look at my dish was quite disappointing. My eggs looked like a misshaped sunny side up that was stirred to become scrambled eggs. The yolk was still runny at some place. Check out the photos. The bacon was over friend and was hard. The toast was quite cold and wasn't really a toast, unfortunately. My friend got smoked brisket hash with poached eggs, and those eggs were completely overcooked. The yolk was fully set and round, it didn't flow out as he cut open it. First Watch has good food but terrible service. I have eaten here about a dozen times including today. Today's experience is exactly the same as every other time. A long wait time but the online check in app is great and the estimated time for seating was pretty accurate (within 5 minutes). I have never received silverware without having to ask for it specifically at least once (today was twice). The server had to go wash and roll the silverware for us. The drink orders came quickly although no one could stir cream into their coffee because of the no silverware issue. Food arrived haphazardly. One plate of pancakes, without sides, for one child. Later, two more orders came along with my wife's side of bacon. Then five minutes later, we got another full order. Later, we got the rest of the orders. It took 15 minutes from the first plate being served until the whole table had plates. This sort of drip and drab method is typical as it has happened every time I've been here. The floor manager was doing a general check of the restaurant and checked on us. We had about half the plates at that point, so he said he would check on it. He never came back. The food was fine. The server was nice and apologetic. Both of these things are typical of my past experiences. I have to believe that all of the issues are management related, which is why I still gave a 20% tip to the college student server. If First Watch had any similar competition in town, no one would put up with the service problems and it would be out of business. When competition does come, they better get their act together. First time here! That being said I got the Monterey Jack sandwich not great almost tasteless. I originally wanted a Cobb wrap and they had one wrap on the menu and a Cobb salad on the menu so I asked if they could just put my Cobb salad in a tortilla. They said no but I can bring a tortilla to the table and you can wrap it yourself if you want it. Really how hard is it. Took a long time to get our food also. So much for customer service. This was a very bad experience. We came from out of town. We waited an hour and a half & we were kicked back multiple times. We saw many people come eat and leave; big parties and small. We we're only a party of two. We spoke to the manager and he had nothing to say accept "we didn't use the app!" We left very hungry and unhappy. We have a great experience every time we go!! The only downside is how busy and crowded it is but they really can't help that. The food is delicious and their coffee is some of our favorite in town. One time we went our food took so long due to how crowded they were that they comp'd our entire meal. I felt so bad for our server because we didn't have any cash to leave her for a tip. Hopefully we get her next time so we can tip her properly. All in all, food and service are consistently good. College Station surprises again with another legit non-chain food spot! First off the coolest thing about this place is how you can avoid waiting in line by adding your name to the waitlist via Yelp! The food was really good as well as I had the traditional breakfast of eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes, and the best item which was their gratin grain wheat toast with whipped butter and natural preservatives. I ordered the seasonal millionaire's bacon and it was nothing to write home about as it was just regular store packaged bacon with some amazing seasoning to add for flavor. The flavor is amazing with a sweet and spicy taste to it but the bacon isn't think cut at all! The coffee here is top notch coffee and my daughter's pancake looked legit as well and there are huge so 2 people can share a stack as it's two large pancakes. She said she would give us more time! She gave us a negative attitude when we didn't want coffee! It was 100 degrees and noon!
