This was a biscuit with perfectly seasoned fried chicken, topped with fried goat cheese and pepper jelly! Every bite was delicious. The fried goat cheese was fried perfect and when you bite into it, it oozed out. I loved the pepper jelly as well, it leaned more on the sweeter side but I didn't mind it all. We also tried the chicken waffles. Again very good. The waffle was seasoned nicely. I personally like my waffles harder, but could of been the drive back to house that softened it up. But the flavor was on point so was okay with it. The chicken like in my biscuit was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Tried their churro(iced) latte. Loved it, my mind was set on a super sweet drink BUT this was not at all, was a perfect blend and balance. We got a side of crispy potatoes, weren't a fan of these, no flavor and not really that crispy. But by time we ate everything else the potatoes were an after thought. Once we ordered, they gave us a number to put at the table so they could deliver the food. It took about 12 minutes from order to delivery of said food. The Iced Cinnamon Biscuit was a great choice. It basically tasted like a cinnamon roll, but substitute the roll part to be a biscuit. I also tried some of my husband's tots and they had the perfect crunch. There are a few big tables inside where it's easy to share with others. They also had outdoor seating too. The only off putting thing was water was dripping from the ceiling all over the restaurant when I was there. There were no signs about the water, but every now and then a drop would fall on someone unsuspecting or the floor. They really need to get that looked at. The parking lot is an L-shaped so be careful parking towards the end as it is closed off so it can be tough to turn around.

You place your order at the counter and I'm telling you, they have a great variety to choose from. My party shared some chicken flatbread, a Caprese style appetizer(not its name), and sweet potato cheesecake. Whe all enjoyed some coffee made to order for our liking. We even ordered some pistachio and dubai chocolate desserts to go. Everything was superb! We sat and talked for hours and just soaked in the environment. I went to this restaurant for my husband's 45th birthday brunch, and unfortunately, the experience was a bit disappointing. The service was slow and inattentive from the start. It took quite a while to receive our drinks, and when they finally arrived, my glass was dirty and had to be replaced. The food also took longer than expected to come out, and our server seemed very preoccupied--we often had to flag them down for assistance. My meal was not prepared correctly: it was missing avocado, and my eggs were supposed to be poached over medium but instead came out fried hard. When I sent them back, they returned with two boiled eggs, which was frustrating and not what I ordered. On a positive note, my husband enjoyed his meal--the steak and eggs with chimichurri was well prepared. The French toast was also very good, and the Bloody Mary was excellent. Overall, the food had some highlights, but the service and inconsistencies in the kitchen made the experience underwhelming, especially for a special occasion. read more

I'm not big on writing reviews, but after visiting First Watch on Sunday I had to give my opinion. The restaurant was extremely busy and we had to wait approximately 20 minutes to be seated, but it was definitely worth the wait. The food was great, but the service we received from Stephanie was well above average. I don't know if you guys do advancement/promotions within the restaurant, but Stephanie definitely deserves to be a lead server or training server. I have never dined in any restaurant and received service as awesome as the service we received from Stephanie. read more

Was traveling through North Carolina, and stopped for the night in the Concord, NC area. Woke up wanting a good, healthy breakfast so headed to First Watch. We go to the one near us in FL, so knew what to expect. The one in Christenbury Crossing met our expectations. Food was very good, and service was superb. Kristiana was prompt, polite and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. I am definitely coming back. I got hot coffee and I got my food a few minutes after I ordered it. Potatoes we're made perfectly and were seasoned great. I got a sandwich that melted in mouth and the yolk from the egg just ran out and onto my plate. I waited 40 minutes for a bbq sandwich, "French dip" cheesesteak, and Mac and cheese... If an order at quick service is going to take that long it'd probably be best to stop taking orders at a certain point, I had somewhere I needed to be. Once the food did come out my French dip cheeseteak was cold to the touch... wasn't even under a heat lamp, the cheese and meat looked sad. And so was I. Although there was a steady flow of customers, most were takeout so there was no issue with the limited seating. 5 tables seat 4 tables seat 2 people. Sufficient amount of parking. My Mom has limited mobility so great to get a spot directly in front of the door. We were immediately greeted by Nikki with a pleasant smile that said 'glad you're here!' You order your food and sit down, they bring it to you. Burger was good, fries good, sweet potato fries were either a little burnt or that's just how they make them but I didn't mind, bbq sandwich and Mac n cheese good. I had a veggie burger which was frozen. Not my preference but still tasty. Came with all the toppings. My mom lives for banana pudding and she said theirs is great! Customer service by Nikki, Miley and who I presume to be the manager was excellent! Clean restaurant. After the first shift left, Miley was there for the second and constantly cleaned in her downtown. Clean restroom which is one stall for separate genders. There's a baby changer in the restroom. I enjoyed the Christian music playing in the background. I love restaurants that are easy to navigate for my mom. Good food, good service, check them out!

So if you see a small…read moretake away spot in a strip mall that looks a bit dilapidated do not judge a book by its cover. Graham Street Grill is a perfect example. Located along N Tryon St a little bit past the popular Camp Northend development you'll find this gem. When I moved to the NoDa neighborhood from Southend, I found myself missing the fried chicken you could get at the Shell gas station. Luckily I did some online research and came across some great reviews for this spot! It's take out only with just a small waiting room and an order counter but it's well worth any wait, the fried chicken comes out so fresh! They are inexpensive with great food which is something that is becoming increasingly hard to find. My last order I was able to get two jumbo wings along with a roll and French fries for under $10.00. They have a lot more than just fried chicken though. Burgers, hotdogs, fish sandwiches, and even subs and gyros. Not to mention they offer some home style breakfast that is hard to beat. Don't be out off by the location or the outside appearance, this place is fantastic.

The chicken livers looked like they had been fried in very old grease--they were so dark they were almost black--and the hash brown side that was supposed to come with the meal was completely missing. The shrimp plate never arrived at all. Instead, I received what appeared to be chicken tenders, but they looked practically boiled because there wasn't a single sign of browning or grilling on them. Even the sides were incorrect. The fried okra was right, but I received French fries instead of the slaw I ordered. The only meal that was actually correct was the perch plate. One correct meal out of three is simply unacceptable, especially when the food that did arrive was so unappetizing. Overall, this was a TERRIBLE lunch experience. I'm extremely disappointed, and unfortunately, I will not be ordering food from Graham St. Grill again.
