In previous experiences I have been blown away by the service and speed of the workers and food. However this time our food took 45min. to come out. The restaurant wasn't even fully packed so the service confused me. Although servers aren't to blame, our waitress regretted to check up on us at all until right before our food came out to apologize for the wait. Although this experience won't stop me from coming back, it does damper my mood on the confusion of what the problem was. I hope that the problems can be solved in an orderly manner. My boyfriend and I ordered a skillet and a superfoods bowl and waited 50 MINUTES for it to come out... waitress acted oblivious to how long it took and never checked up to say it'll be out shortly or the kitchen is running behind. When the food came out luke warm she never even said sorry. Most likely won't be coming back. Servers are in dire need of training... or is it the kitchen? If it was busy I would have understood but they seemed to be at half capacity and still not every table was sat. Looked well staffed also so no excuse there. read more

The food sounds great and looks great but was inconsistent. The pork belly bacon and grits looked good but the grits were not flavorful. The chibbatta bread stick that can with it was crispy and soft deliciousness. The side of biscuit and gravy was the best thing though the gravy could have been hotter. The biscuit was moist and fluffy and the gravy was seasoned well and had a good amount of meat bits. The inside was warm and cozy with alot of wood accents. This place made me want to take a shower after visiting, so disgusting. I was actually super excited today to take my family here for breakfast as the Macedonia location was absolutely spectacular! All I could do was rant and rave about the fantastic service, food and environment. This was their first visit to a First Watch and wow was I embarrassed after taking them to the Cuyahoga Falls location. Outside of the pleasantly happy staff members, this place was a dump. The lengthy wait was anticipated, but don't quote me 20 minutes when it's actually double that. On a macro level the subpar food and dirty establishment made this visit terrible. To start off this journey, we embarked on a quest to find an unutilized 4th chair as our party of 4 was seated with only 3. You'd think they'd have a table completely set before seating guests, that is why we tell them upfront how many are in our party, right? However, this was a minor complaint. Next, slowly unraveling my eating utensils from their gently wrapped paper napkin, I was greeted with food residue from a previous customer. There was so much that not only was the silverware dirty but it had caked onto the napkin too. Keep in mind we had previously sent our glassware back as they too were gross. I'm not sure if this place has a working dishwasher or if they just say "looks clean enough to me, reuse it so we don't have to waste electricity cleaning." Let's fast forward to the meal. I was praying that this was going to be the saving grace of the morning, nope. The kitchen too needs to get off the struggle bus. The coffee was cold, the eggs were not over easy (hard), the pancake was doughy, the biscusts and gravy were cold with trickles of hot spots throughout and they might as well have slapped the bacon on a plate raw because that's about what it looked like to me, so chewy that I couldn't eat it. I should have guessed this was coming because the customers a table away sent their food back prior to receiving ours. Just so you don't think I'm one of those one off customers whose leaving a scaling review because they had that ONE bad experience. Oh, and I had a nose hair in my potatoes, yay me! But just in case you're wondering, yes, we still paid and left a good tip despite the terrible experience. We just won't be back to this location. In summary, if you're wanting a breakfast spot that you won't be embarrassed stepping foot in the door, I'd suggest taking the extra 20 minute drive to Macedonia in order to steer clear of Cuyahoga Falls. Have frequented this spot for the past few years and have not had a bad experience until today. Got to the restaurant around 10 and asked to have our name put on the list and was told a 45min-1hr wait. That was all fine until after waiting over an hour and a half seeing over 4 parties being sat before us that had arrived after. I went to voice my concern with the host and was rudely told there are still 9 tables ahead of me. 9 tables!!!! After almost double our quoted wait time... Come to find out they have a way to get your name on the list hours beforehand so people can "skip the line". Thanks for wasting my time and failing to inform me that I wouldn't be able to spend my money at this establishment. Never heard of a breakfast joint allowing for reservations what a joke. Would not recommend unless you're willing to wait hours to eat. Don't come hungry if you do you'll starve. Thumbs down! read more

This is definitely my favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch chain in Ohio. I love their seasonal menus that change and the fact that they have fresh juices/ healthy choices. This location is great, busy all of the time, but it's big enough that you aren't made to wait for too long like the macedonia location. Only issue I've had here has been with winter this year the restaurant always feels too cold. I'm always finding myself ordering coffee in order to get warm. First time in today. At first entering the restaurant the atmosphere is very nice. We were quick to get seated which is abnormal as they are usually super busy. After being seated it took about ten minutes for our server to greet us. The coffee they brought to our table was luke warm at best. Not even an apology from our server. After ordering the food to our suprise it came out rather quickly. The food itself was fairly good, not overly amazing as it sounds on most of the reviews. We ordered the millionare's bacon I have to say nothing millionare about it. The bacon was very thinly sliced and undercooked and super sweet. I thought it would have been thick cut, seasond well with brown sugar and black pepper to offset the sweetness and perfectly cooked. After you finish eating you have to pay at the hostess station which in my mind is not the best setup. It gets very congested in the lobby with people waiting to get seated and people waiting to pay. I was very excited to see that there was a new breakfast place being built down the road from where I live. Sadly I was let down, I've eaten there twice now. One dining in and second was take out. The food tastes good but it may fill up a 2year old. It got even worse when I got take out to eat at home, when I got home I was very excited to eat my hash browns and when I opened the box I thought it was a joke. First time here. Service was good food excellent. They give you a carafe of coffee similar to a thermos with a lid. Coffee was good, but I'm one who likes to drink my coffee not sip it, so keeping it super hot isn't impressive to me as I usually remove the lid so it can cool a little. I had the blueberry pancakes. I can't eat as much as I used to so instead of the 3 stack I only got 2. They were Great! The only slight problem was, even as good as they were I couldn't finish them. They were very large. I probably should have gotten the single pancake. I didn't mention that it was filled with some of the largest blueberries I've ever eaten. Will I be Back? Most likely. read more

I called First Watch this afternoon to place a take out order for my family. I order this one particular item (Kale Chicken Salad) every week and it has never been a problem. Their employee Barb, did not understand my request to have the Kale salad in one container, the carrots in one container and the chicken in one container. When she asked me to repeat it, I told her I wanted 3 containers...the Kale in one....before I could finish, she cut me off in mid sentence and yelled..."I GET IT...OKAY? " I replied..."no, not okay. I just changed my mind and will not be placing my order due to your rudeness". . As I did, her reply was "Okay", and she hung up....no apology whatsoever! I was SO upset that I decided to call back and report her to management. The manager apologized and offered to take my order several times. I told her that I deal with customers all the time, as I am an account rep for a line carried in high end department stores. I have worked for over 30 years in my profession and have NEVER heard any of the stores employees speak to a customer like Barb spoke to me. I ordered our lunch from a restaurant that showed appreciation for my business. NEVER AGAIB FIRST WATCH! I love your food, but not your rude customer service. read more

Overall nothing special. Food was nothing fantastic especially for the prices. If I wanted to pay that much I could go to Blue Door and get better food. The whole give them your phone number and they will text you when your table is ready didn't work, and when the hostess approached me and asked me my name, she asked me in this bitchy way if I had checked my phone, well wouldn't you know there was no missed call or text! The waitress forgot to give us a pitcher of water like everyone else and then acted almost surprised when we asked for water: "Oh! You want water?" Lastly a 35 minute waiting time turned into 50. Waited 20 minutes after being seated this morning, and still no coffee. They were not busy when we arrived. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to notice us and ask if we wanted coffee, the tables around us had been filled and had their beverages brought and orders taken. I guess we were invisible. We're also seniors so maybe it was elder discrimination, who knows. We won't be back and I will be unsubscribing from their frequent diner and birthday clubs. read more
