Breakfast is the best meal of the day. Done right a great breakfast is the only way to start. It's tough to do a breakfast only place. We have one in our town and it's just ok. This place has a nice vibe. The tables are spaced out so it's not crowded. We got there on a Monday at 10 am. We had a late start and were starving. We were seated immediately and offered coffee. I unfortunately have to admit I have become a coffee snob or as I like to put it, I appreciate a good cup of coffee. If you like a good cup also chalk our Arbuckle coffee Mexicali roast... amazing. Sorry for the side track. The coffee was hot and they give you a whole carafe. I really like the coffee as it was very smooth and not bitter. I had the carnitas breakfast burrito. I cleaned my plate. The generous burrito was topped with salsa verde sour cream and pickled onions. I normally don't do onions but they added a nice touch of flavor to the dish. The burrito was stuffed with beans potatoes cheese and eggs. Delicious. My wife ordered the steak skillet and daughter got the chocolate chip pancakes with strawberries on it. Both dishes were excellent although I did not get a sample taste. There were enough items on the menu that I will come back for breakfast possibly lunch too. read more

Great little breakfast joint with a variety of items on the menu. We ordered a kids single pancake which was huge and delicious ! The million dollar bacon, ufffff, a must order ! Mini donuts with dipping sauces, an egg breakfast plate (can't recall the name) and I had the oatmeal. Oh and a green juice ! Everything was so delicious and reasonably priced for everything we got. Four of us came here for brunch-heard it was wonderful food. NOT a fabulous experience! Wife's Benedict didn't arrive till everyone else was done. Our friend's salmon Benedict came out with ICE cold eggs-like they were pulled pre-made from a refrigerator and tossed on the plate with some warm sauce over it. The single blueberry pancake came out burnt. Ugh! Having said that, the Works omelette was delightful, and the replacement food did taste great, as my wife could attest since she ate our food while waiting for hers to come. So beware if you come here on a Sunday-they are definitely not equipped to keep up with the rush. read more

The only problem with First Watch is deciding which item are you going to choose on their menu. Seriously everything is so appealing and of those items chosen to date...WOW!!! The atmosphere is really charming, the service top notch (ask for Courtney!) and the food will not disappoint. I am determined to order everything on the menu. From their Million Dollar Bacon to Bloody Mary and not to forget the Sunrise Special. Normally my husband and I share each of our orders but we keep refusing when we come here! The food was amazing! I got the elevated egg sandwhich. The brioche bun was so fresh. The restaurant was so quaint and looked like a modern farm house. Everything was so fresh. The service was not that great from our waiter. She seemed to have an off day. We waited about 15 mins before we were greeted and gave our drink orders. It was pretty busy since it was before the hurricane. She checked on us once but she checked on other tables multiple times. We also didn't get our water refill glass at our table. Went here with my 18 year old niece and had a wonderful time. There is always a variety of food, including many healthy options. It was not too busy so we were able to sit a little longer and talk. Mid May is off season and a fabulous time to visit Daytona Beach. Three of us stopped here on a Saturday morning before catching flights out of the airport located really really close by. The Speedway is also close--it's the view from the outdoor seating area. I've heard about this chain, but this was my first visit. Loved it!! I had one of the specials. Something I knew I'd never have at home--the quinoa pancakes. they even had granola sprinkled on top! They didn't really fill me up like the egg dishes my girlfriends ordered but I wanted something different. Perhaps I should have gotten that delicious sounding bacon as a side. All dishes were unique, served hot, moderate portions and fresh when it came to the greens. Also they were very lightly dressed, not drowning in salad dressing. Pricey place, especially if you opted for one of their signature juices. I had unsweetened iced tea and it was decent tea. Plastic straws available upon request. I would visit another First Watch--I don't know that I'll find one in the shadow of such an American icon as the Daytona Speedway, but I'll keep looking. A true NASCAR fan should make this a must! read more

First let me say i have eaten at both locations. The port orange location had amazing, and welcoming service. I ordered the hash with bacon, eggs and avocado. The potatoes, eggs, onions were all cooked perfectly and the toast came warm and spread with butter. I ordered the same thing from the intl blvd daytona beach location. The moment i walked in and encountered what i perceived to be racial bias. I was standing waiting to pick up my online order and another patron, a white woman walked up and stood beside me. The server walked up and proceeded to help the other customer. I interrupted her and said i was here to pick up my order. She put her finger up and said, just a minute and proceeded to help the other woman. I interrupted her again to let her know i had been standing there first. She said oh, and gave me my order. The proper thing would have been to ask who was next in line. Now, the quality of the food. The potatoes and onions were not cooked through, and the egg yolks ran down into the cardboard where it was soaked up so i was basically eating egg whites, and there were no utensils or napkins provided. Hopefully they will utilize this review to improve on the quality of food and service. Until then i will stick to the port orange location. read more

Officially found my favorite new spot during the work week! From the minute you walk into First Watch, you'll know they're raising the bar for the area. Simple. Delicious. Healthy. Served with a smile. All of their sandwiches are $9-$10 but also include greens or a cup of soup. Not bad, but it gets even better... lunch specials are half sandwiches served with a 1/2 soup or salad for $7-$8. You can't get a lunch this good at this price in town, promise. I haven't had the pleasure yet to have breakfast or brunch there, but the menu is stacked with awesome pancake and egg dish options. Their coffee has a charitable cause and they have juices too. First, I love the food here. I've gotten quite a few different things from a smoothie bowl to an omelette to the breakfast tacos. All have been mighty good. I also love that if you sign up for emails, they give you free stuff and discounts on other food. I'd give 5 stars if the service was better. The first time I went was one of their original locations in Arizona. Perhaps as this chain has grown in size the training hasn't kept up? If so, that's very sad. The food is excellent!!
