Overpriced for average food and bad service. Don't get me wrong. I'm more than happy to pay for awesome food and service, and when good friends of mine suggested we do breakfast at First Watch in Doral I was excited to try it. The place was packed when we arrived - usually a good sign - and we would have had a thirty minute wait if it wasn't for the fact that my friend thought ahead a made a reservation online, so it only took 5 minutes for us to be seated. Our waiter Javier got us started with coffee at $3.99. We placed our orders and there was quite a wait because it was packed. Once the food arrived it was barely warm. Each of us had different meals, and sadly three out of four of us had mistakes with our order: one got cheese vs the regular grits ordered, missing order of seasoned potatoes, brought scrambled eggs instead of ordered fried eggs, brought bacon instead of the ordered pork sausages. Missing or incorrect sides came late once the rest of the meal was eaten. Refill on coffee was also long in coming. So many mistakes on what was the first time eating at First Watch for two of us was disappointing, even after our waiter wrote and read back our orders. Each person's meal was easily $20 or well above (before tax and tip) and sadly neither the food nor the service lived up to the price. I won't be back. read more

I went to this location early in the morning sleepy, grouchy, jet lagged and in need of peace. Our server, Cedric, was perfect in every way. He was kind, efficient, attentive and patient. He realized I wasn't a mean customer just one trying to removed the cobwebs from my head. He got my order right even when I (barely coherent) changed my mind several times. He even handed me an extra cup of coffee to go as I left. More establishments need workers like Cedric. He changed the outlook of my day. For a place called First Watch their time management is trash. How are you going to be seating people at 2:30 if thats when y'all close? Had to wait an additional 30 minutes due to our name being removed from the list after getting a text saying our table is ready. An hour later the food came in and the hottest food item on my plate was the maple syrup. Need y'all to step it up, shouldn't take an hour to make an avocado toast and two eggs. The hostess needs help too. She's out here looking like 2016 Russell Westbrook averaging a triple double doing all the work. Get her some people to space the floor, they need to be on their game (especially since y'all overbook). Management needs to clean house and sign some people that can run a business. P.S - Don't advertise avocado toast and forget to toast the bread. Nobody wants avocado and regular bread. Texture's off, makes people nauseous. read more

I've been to several First Watch restaurants - the service and food in this location was mediocre at best. My friend returned eggs 2 times. The portions were not as usual. I asked staff for dressing for salad- never got it. It was not a pleasurable experience. Restaurant is beautiful but not the caliber of the others. I recommend going to other location. read more

I've always been a fan of First Watch. I ate breakfast and lunch there a lot back when I lived in Indianapolis. So, when I found out that a branch opened in Doral, I was ecstatic! Although there was a long line outside to get in, my husband and I checked in online and did not have to wait more than a minute. It was a bit loud because it was so busy, but the atmosphere and food was superb. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the staff was very attentive. When we arrived the hostess told us 30-45 minutes. It took an hour, which is fine. We understand that it's hard to predict that. But when we were seated it took 10 minutes for someone to come to the table. When they brought coffee there were no cups. When they brought food there was no silverware. From the time we ordered to the time we got our food was over an hour. The staff lacked detail and customer service. Hope they get it fixed. Wow!!!! If you have a ticket with multiple people and you pay yours only, the tip amount defaults to the entire ticket. They don't tell you that! I caught it and everyone in my party paid 21 bucks in tip for a $117.00 bill. In other words mine was 18.73, I automatically hit 20% and caught too late it paid 21bucks tip. I'm writing this as a disappointed customer. I have gone to other First Watch locations before, and the service I experienced at this particular location was horrible. After being seated at a dirty table (it wasn't wiped down and food pieces were on the table), it took 20mins for our server to greet us. When we were finally able to order food and it took forever and our food was cold when it arrived to the table. We didn't send it back due to the fact it's took so long for us to even get the food. Our server never checked on us once and as I'm currently writing this review it's been 30mins and we still haven't seen our server or check. I don't recommend this location at all. The only reason im leaving a 2 star review is because of the ambience. Once again I'm very disappointed. read more

Great brunch experience! Love the food, no matter what you order it's delicious!! Environment and staff is great! Staff is very friendly and they truly make you feel at home. The testy reminds me of North Carolina, everyone there very friendly and respectful. If you go, you must try their million dollar bacon. It's to die for if you like sweets. Added our name to the waitlist before arrival. Once we arrived we checked in and we're seated outside in ~10 minutes. The outside patio is nice, however, placed in very close proximity to the trash. Every time the wind passed we would get a smell of sewage, who wants to enjoy food with that smell. After placing our order, a simple avocado toast with two eggs and a power wrap (eggs, veggies, tortilla), we waited 45 minutes with no food in sight. At this point we made the decision to leave. Waiting for a table is one thing, but waiting this amount of time for very simple breakfast food is completely unacceptable. Seems like they need to hire more cooks in the kitchen. We ate at 1st Watch on our recent visit at Doral. I had the Bacado Omelet and my husband had The Works Omelet. Both dishes were outstanding. Mine was possibly the best I've ever eaten. We go out for breakfast frequently- Sat & Sun for me, & everyday for my husband. So, we have eaten breakfast at hundreds of eateries. Jim very seldom has a bad thing to say about any meal he has ordered out. I, on the other hand, have no problem critiquing a meal. I am not a picky eater, but I am a discerning eater. There is rarely anything on a menu that I would not try, but I want it to be GOOD. I was trying to determine what put my omelet (bacon, avocado, & Monterey Jack) in a class by itself. By the time I finished, I settled on their "Million Dollar" bacon. I am looking forward to visiting the one in Naples, this week. And after checking out their other locations I discovered that there is one very near home in PA- very surprised we did not know it was there. The food is absolutely awesome and consistent. We come here almost every weekend. The music is also amazing and provides nice ambiance. It's also pet friendly if you sit in the outdoor patio! The only thing I will say is a negative is the wait time. But it's pretty understandable because it's a very popular brunch spot especially on the weekends. If you're not interested in a 40 min wait time I suggest coming really early or during the weekdays. First Watch has been a favorite of mine since I visited the Ft Lauderdale by the Sea location. The fact that this new location in Doral is only a few minutes away from my house has made it one of my favorite spots in town. Even though it gets very crowded I always try to get there before 9:00 am to avoid the crowd. The food is as just as good as the other locations I've been too and the service is on par with it. Today we came in a bit late 9:15 but our server Douglas was outstanding and managed to get us all of our weird requests promptly. Even our seconds.
