Eh. That's how I'd describe this place. We should have taken pictures of our food, but were hungry enough to eat it all. My sister's frittata was wafer thin with salad on the side...she's still hungry. My biscuits and turkey sausage looked like the gravy was blended and then poured over day old grocery store biscuits (they were too dense). Last thing, if you told me the coffee was Folgers, def would have believed you. The scrambled eggs were great and so were the skillet potatoes--I'll give them that! Service was excellent and so was staff. I'd put them at a sweet 3! read more

Wow, best pancake I have had in the area ..I had blueberry multigrain and the wife had banana crunch both excellent. Eggs perfect turkey sausage great. This place has allot of healthy food , cage free eggs and juice combs. If you are on a healthy diet or from the northeast where this is pretty much everywhere this this is the spot! This was a welcome change to the dining establishments in the area. I tried the carrot cake pancakes and sausage, (made the mistake of ordering two, one was more than enough). It was delicious. It had all the flavors of carrot cake but enough density to let you know it was still a pancake. The sausage was the old school country link sausage. It was moist with just a little snap when you bite into it. It was a great choice. The wait staff was courteous. And in spite of it being fairly busy it never got too loud and the service never lagged. The menu is diverse and I already know what I want to order when I go back this is definitely a place I would frequent, and recommend to others. read more

Enjoyed our visit. Great food, good service. They were a bit understaffed on the day after New Year's, but were savvy enough to leave tables unseated rather than provide substandard service. I enjoyed the Salmon- roasted vegetable frittata and hubby the Traditional with a side of gravy (really good gravy!). We shared a wonderful blueberry pancake, too. This is my third visit for breakfast with my wife. This is by far the best breakfast option in this area and for good reason ...we have never had a bad deal here or bad service. We came early on a Friday morning and were seated right away. Very friendly hostess and server. The place was clean and the color scheme and decor had that farmhouse vibe. The coffee was really good! The food I ordered, however, was not. I tried their skillet with scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon. It just was not delicious for lack of a better description. I will give this place another try, maybe order the french toast and something else. The coffee was good enough to make me want to plan on going back. read more

At this location was horrible, said it was an hour wait but over heard being seated in front of us. Ordered the maple bacon it came burnt and asked the waitress is this how it suppose to come and she stated yes. Asked another waitress and she immediately took it from us and made a fresh order. Not impressed but my friends said I went to the wrong one (Arlington) location. We always come here, do the waitlist online and usually have no wait. Today was the same no wait cause we checked in online. We haven't been here since the location on Heritage Trace opened but we didn't think that would change anything since we've always had a good experience. Well it did. They were slower than usual business wise for a Saturday morning and that effected the laziness of the employees for sure. Waitress came and took our drink order then brought them and took our order. We patiently waited for our food for over 30 min. When it was almost hitting the 45 min mark and our waitress walked by a few times we assumed it'll come out. Well we asked about it and she forgot to submit the order. Left very upset and won't be returning to this location. The manager tried to "fix" it by asking if we were leaving. Ate there today for the first time as it had been recommended by someone. The wait on a Sunday at noon was over half an hour. When we were finally seated, we noticed at least eight tables were open, and there were still over a dozen people waiting outside. All in all the food was very good. My BLT Benedict was good. Would have been great if only the kitchen knew how to poach an egg. My wife had the half sandwich and soup combo and both the clam chowder and roast beef/havarti sandwich were tasty. Service was average but they were taking at least ten minutes to turn tables. We'll go back but probably not on a weekend. read more

This place is very busy on the weekends but you'll always get in and it doesn't take too long. They will take your cellphone number and text you once your table is ready if you don't want to wait inside. The food is really good. I try to get different things each time I go. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, but I wish they carried non-dairy milk. Sometimes you get a waiter/waitress who seems overwhelmed and ends up forgetting about you. And one time the French toast wasn't cooked all the way and had to go back to the kitchen but they gave us a discount at the register when I told them. Not your standard IHOP meal. This place offers healthy AND delicious options. The soups and sandwiches are excellent and made with artisan bread and fresh ingredients. My wife thought her omelet was the best she has had anywhere, it was full of fresh tomatoes sausage and mozzarella - like pizza filling in eggs. I've had the Roast beef and Havarti as well as the turkey and bacon club, both terrific choices. The tomato basil soup is a good choice too. Looking forward to our next trip. Try it on week days to avoid the wait. read more

Great place for an awesome breakfast!!!! We really enjoy "First Watch" because of the quality and consistency. At the North Tarrant Parkway location "Carlos" makes the best eggs!!!! I like mine over medium with the whites firm!!! Bacon is outstanding and the potato's are fried with thin sliced onion! They have many choices! There pancakes are the best and the waffle is just as good! Usually my wife and I order two different plates so we can share the pancakes!!!! The manager is Jeff and he is a "hard worker" not just a "watcher"! You know the manager is what makes it consistent! Lastly, the coffee is served to your table in a carafe and it is really good coffee! If you haven't been to "First Watch",give it a try you will enjoy the atmosphere as well!!! read more

I love this nice little breakfast/brunch/lunch cafe. Atmosphere is great for a quick bite or just relaxing and enjoying a savory meal. They have healthy options as well. I had the Baja Turkey Burger and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The turkey was not over cooked which gave it a juicy flavorful soft texture. It is topped with mixed green, avacado, and a what i assumed is a house made pico de gallo. Sitting between a warm brioche bun. I was not mad at all. I used to love this place and haven't been since last summer. Decided to stop by today and was seriously disappointed. We ordered a sweet tea and it was absolutely disgusting! Tasted like syrup and was so insanely sweet we couldn't even swallow it. Daughter and I ordered the Avocado Toast and it had a weird fizzy acidy feeling in your mouth. Reminded me of baking soda, not good. We left most of the food on the plate, and paid almost $50. Will not be back. read more

We have visited this First Watch location many times. Today was subpar in comparison to our other experiences. Arrived at 10:17am and added our party of 3 to the waitlist. She did say it would be approx 20-30 min. Received "table ready" text @ 10:42. No problem. Sat down and the first thing we noticed were two dirty glasses. I'm sure they ran them through the dishwasher, but still had lipstick marks on them. I can by pass that too and just ask for another glass. Decided to order one of the specials - Huevos Rancheros tostadas (approx $9). when I think huevos rancheros, eggs, chorizo, beans, piled on top of two crispy tostadas, maybe throw in some potatoes It said "chorizo salsa" and smashed avocado. Normally the meal portions are decent size. When our order came it was sort of as described. Saw the mashed avocado on one of the tostadas. Two over easy eggs on top and the side slaw. Okkkk, I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt here and dive Into it. The egg was straight up cold. There was enough to fill one tostada and a sprinkle of chorizo salsa, as in almost non existent. After our food was brought, the restaurant hit its prime time and we saw our waitress again to bring us check, so we didn't even have time to addressI've had this waitress before and she's good, but to not address that an entire meal wasn't eaten while placing the check down is situationally unaware. I did ask her to remove the meal and she asked to bring us something else. With one in our party being 3 bites from being done and not wanting to wait, I declined. She did take care of the entire check (there was a kids meal left) which was nice, and we did leave her a nice tip regardless. I couldn't find the suggestion / comment cards and the manager was defamed a people, I didn't want to complain but rather leave feedback on the experience today. I don't expect stellar food and service every time and I know even great restaurants can't satisfy 100% of their customers all the time. We will give them another try because they have performed in the past. read more

Our favorite breakfast place by far! Amazing service and always yummy delicious fresh food!

My husband and I were regulars at this location for nearly a year. Every weekend, it was our favorite date place for breakfast/brunch. However the last three times we have visited, have provided us with less than stellar experiences. 1. We were seated within a normal time, but we finally had to ask another waitress about the status of our meal. When it was delivered by another staff member (not our waitress), there was no syrup delivered even though we asked for it. The food was also cold, and our waitress swooped in and snatched up my plate when I had food left to finish. When I mentioned this situation to the staff member who rang us up, he apologized and made me feel better about the situation. 2. We were seated in the front corner and were never provided with water for the table, and when our food was delivered, the waitress never came back to check on us. After finishing our meal and waiting an additional 30 minutes we went to the front and asked to be rung up. 3. Today we were told it was a 30-40 minute wait and we provided our phone number to be texted when our table was ready. After waiting for 45 minutes I asked the hostess how much longer it would be. I was told 10-15 minutes. 30 minutes later I asked again (I was waiting inside in case our name was called). I was told that they had texted me 27 minutes prior but i had never received that text message. We were seated almost immediately after this, and our waitress was exceptional and very attentive. The food as always was exceptional. However, after three less than ideal experiences, I can say that my husband and I will be looking for a new place to take our regular weekend business. This is sad, but I feel that when I pay for a service I expect it to be good, if not great. read more
