I visited as a member of a party of 5 on a Friday. We were seated after a 15 minute wait and greeted by a friendly server who provided us with a drink menu & highlighted their special iced coffee currently on the menu. The biscuits were good- homemade?? Turkey sausage gravy was also good. A little more gravy would go a long way since it was really only on top of the biscuits. A few folks at my table had the seasoned potatoes and had mixed feelings, I liked them, but they were slightly salty. Others felt they were a little oily, others really enjoyed them. It's really up to your taste buds. :) My eggs were great, and the breakfast tacos and breakfast sandwich at my table looked just as good. I enjoyed an iced coffee with my meal, regular, but they have a salted caramel and a mint chocolate option too (yum)! The pomegranate sunrise (tequila sunrise) was sweet and refreshing. The Bloody Mary was okay. I don't really go out for breakfast food very often, so I was pleased with my visit to First Watch. If you're a brunch connoisseur, remember that this is a chain and not a mom & pop, but it's definitely still worth a visit!

We've been to First Watch many times in other states and cities but this one just opened up in our hometown. I woke up at 8:30 and went to the website and it said it would be a 20 minute wait. I added us on the waitlist and we headed that way. After I checked in, I was still told it would be about 20 minutes. They had a little coffee bar set up in the foyer for patrons to enjoy why they waited for their table. That was a nice touch. After 20 minutes, we still didn't get a text that our table was ready so we decided to go back inside. We were immediately seated. I think they are still working out the kinks of walk ins, check ins, and waitlist. They also were super busy still because it's new and fresh to Fredericksburg but it was surprising to see that they did have a lot of tables that were in need of bussing. It took a bit longer than I expected for us to get our food, but again still super busy and I think they are still working out a few kinks. The food was delicious as always, I just wish they had some of the summer option the other locations do. They were missing from their menu. We ordered the Morning Meditation, Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk, Chickichanga, Chile Chorizo, and a side of Biscuits and Gravy. The juice wasn't as sweet as previous times I've had it; it seemed their juice ratio was a little off. The cinnamon toast cereal milk definitely tastes like alcohol lol. I liked the Chile Chorizo omelette and the cheese grits were perfect. The rockstar of our meal was the Chickichanga. It was so goooood! The Vera Cruz Sauce was to die for!

My plate was carrot cake and pecan pancake with scrambled eggs and sausage links!

It didn't feel like a chain! Super nice and observant waiter, delicious food and loved getting a whole pot of coffee for the table. We went at around 9am on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy just a lively atmosphere.

This new first watch was packed when we came for a little Saturday brunch! The wait was around 30 mins which was fine but just know this place is popular for the time being. The restaurant inside is dirty. Tables left unbussed for over an hour(it was exactly the same when we put our name on the waitlist, when we sat to eat, and when we left), dust and spiderwebs everywhere. The food was good, no different than any other first watch to be honest and nothing to write home about. The cereal milk cocktail was delicious and I'd recommend you give it try if your feeling a like having a sweet treat with your breakfast.

Despite it being a Friday morning, this place was hopping yet service was fantastic. We had a couple of servers come check on us and, what's even more amazing is our food came out super fast. I had the Chile Chorizo Omelette, which came with a salad and toast. They overdid it with the chiles just a bit, but it was fine because I scrapped them off. Overall, food was good, tasty, and staff was friendly. This is a great place to meet others for breakfast or brunch.

Came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The breakfast was great. We ordered a maple croissant sandwich and the lemon pancakes. The pancakes needed a bit more toppings. We also received fresh jalepeños instead of pickled on the croissant which made it much spicier than expected. The server was great. However, this location needs major work on the check-in process. They did not appear to be sitting people in order which was concerning to me and other costumers who were also waiting. Otherwise, I would come back to eat breakfast again!

I really enjoy visiting First Watch restaurants when I travel, so I'm glad that we have two new one nearby, with this being one of them. So, I recently came in for the first time, stopping in right after they opened for breakfast on a Monday. I did have to wait a few mins when I walked in, but the guy working the bar came over and took care of seating me and I opted for the bar. He was great, very friendly, engaging, and helpful. I opted for their breakfast sandwich, which didn't take long to come out. It was really good! Nice and fresh ingredients and flavor was nice too. There have been some not-so-good reviews given, but that wasn't my experience this time. I'll definitely return.

I was traveling through Virginia and pulled off of 95S to get gas and found this place to eat. The place is clean and spacious. We were served pretty quick. I'm writing this review several days later and I don't recall the names of the salad but I will say it was delicious

Sat at the bar. Service was great. Food was really good. Drinks were nice. The menu had lots of delicious looking options to come back and try again. Have zero complaints.

Our bartender/server was Lashone and she was funny, fast and friendly! She was pouring drinks for the ENTIRE restaurant and didn't miss a beat!! The breakfast menu is small but everything sounded fantastic. I chose the Steak Tacos; my husband chose the brie and bacon frittata (added by the chef since the quiche was sold out. Steak tacos were delicious (see pic). Menu said they had steak, cheesy scrambled eggs, tomato salsa, breakfast potatoes and cilantro. I didn't see or taste any potatoes, but the tacos were still delicious! I'd only recommend draining the salsa through a sieve because of the excess juice affecting the integrity of the tortilla. My husband's frittata was awful. The eggs were dry; he compared them to "eggs at the bottom of the warming tray at a cheap breakfast buffet." The chef also served a side salad alongside. My husband asked about subbing potatoes and Ms. Lashone made it happen. She was the star of our brunch: drinks were delicious, the conversational quips were quick and funny. She was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. 5 stars for her and my food; 1 for the frittata. I don't want to average it and tank the rating. We'll be back soon to see Lashone!

So, my friend and I decided to share a veggie omelet & a black bean & corn veggie burger. Both were excellent, though the burger was our fave. The burger had such a flavorful chipotle mayo (not spicy); it really complimented the blend of corn and black beans with some guac. Yum! The omelet was quite good, too. The incredible selection of veggies were well-cooked and plentiful - asparagus, red pepper, squash, zucchini, red onion, all tucked into fluffy eggs topped with melted provolone. Yum! We'll definitely be back!

The king-sized bed was very comfortable, and the shower was wonderful. Cons: There are bars/nightclubs nearby; our room faced the main street and it was pretty loud out there until around midnight. The temperature in the room seemed off - at 74° we were freezing, but at 77° we were sweating. The walls are very thin; we could hear our neighbors on both sides having conversation. It gets the job done for being a hotel and that's about all I can give it. Beware the parking experience is a little strange as it doesn't have a visitor lot and has to be valet so if you have a car be warned. The rooms are nothing fantastic, they feel very early 2000s which isn't bad but isn't great either. I feel the bathroom could use a remodel because the sink drains were clogged, and the bathroom felt very outdated. The room was spacious though with two queen beds, a chair and very cold A/C. It also had a nice tv in the room too. Beds also felt very comfortable which is nice for a hotel. I definitely would consider this hotel again now that my expectations are a little lower on what to expect. The hotel bar was always dead without anyone around, but the lobby in it of itself was very spacious and accommodating. I also really enjoyed how many things that were walkable around downtown Fredericksburg from the hotel. A ton of breweries, the river front, and restaurants were all within a mile to walk which made it a breeze. It's a very small town with not a lot going on during the week but it did the job.
