First Watch is my spirit animal. If they designed apartments, I would be the first to sign up. I chose Firstwatch, because along with all my favorite entrees, they always seem to throw in something original. I chose the Crab and Avocado Toast this time. It was good, and I give an A for originality, but I don't think I like the combo of the two. Everything was prepared well. The combo just wasn't a win for me. The pickled onion topper made my freakin' day. All in all there were so many flavors that my tastebuds were waving a white flag. Delish. I ordered an extra side of breakfast potatoes. Always a win. I had hot tea to drink. The server kept me going with refills. She never asked about sweeteners or cream which would have been a nice touch. I think she was a little overworked. She was carrying a lot of sections. One thumbs down of note was that the cash register is sitting very close to the side of the table I was sitting in. On more than one occasion, I got an arm or long hair from a server trying to squeeze through on my table. The register could be relocated or a wall could be put in between. It wasn't a deal breaker, but in times like these, the extra nod to hygiene might be a good attention to detail thing. The restaurant is light and airy. The patio is open, the inside tables are socially distanced and the food is to die for. I look forward to our visits to Florida mostly for family and Disney but in a close third spot is because we eat at first watch a few times. I couldn't believe my eyes when I discovered this location! My boyfriend is a meat, cheese, and potatoes kind of guy. He rolled his eyes when he first saw this menu. To his surprise, he loves this place just as much as I do! We go to this spot almost monthly. Between Florida and this location, the service and food are always on point. We join the wait list as we head to the restaurant and never have problems with getting seated. You can't go wrong with their pressed juices. My go-to is the morning meditation. I almost always get the triple berry açaí bowl or the AM Superfoods Bowl. Something about the pop of bananas in there makes it next level. And the almond button roast it comes with has sea salt on it. SO GOOD! Depending on how I'm feeling I either get the tri-athlete or the farm stand tacos! I've tried their summer special: cornbread carnitas bowl. It's delicious and verrry filling -obviously. I want to undo my top button just thinking about it. This place is healthy and the food is delicious depending on the cook you get. I've been here a few times and didn't have a bad experience until yesterday. I normally would give them a 5 star but the cook was horrible. They had food coming out various times so not everyone got to eat together. The food was Luke warm not hot like the usual. Plus the food was splatted on the plate and the portions were smaller than usual. Like they were running out of items. I don't mind smaller portions but the norm is usually a good size for the price. The wait was really good, the food was delicious. My boyfriend got the Floridian French toast and I got the farm stand breakfast tacos all to top off with million dollar bacon. It was amazing, the tacos were really good with chorizo and egg and avocado; plus I got a side of black beans and they were really well cooked, I don't like tomatoes but it added as a fine touch to the black beans. And my boyfriend really enjoyed his French toast with kiwi, bananas, and strawberries. But by far the bacon was the best with the maple syrup and brown sugar it made the best kind of spicy. Let's start off with the the dishes, smoked salmon fritter for moi & the Market Skillet for my significant other. Actually I don't like the term significant other. So imma change it. The smoke fritter, I inhaled that thing. something noticeably odd about the texture of the salmon but the flavors are there so...as they say, The same in the winter that big spawning ground in the sky. Actually nobody says that. Yeah. Anyways, My wife's dish, likewise, met a similar demise. And it was good. Service was pleasant and spot on. But... there were those damn greens again. Not as bad as the first three or four times but enough where you notice. I dunno, man. I understand that everybody has off days. So maybe I'm just managing to find the days First Watch is being chased by clouds, I don't know. So, i'd like to think Rebecca L. from First Watch Customer Service for reaching out to me after the initial less than stellar experience. We greatly appreciate the fact that they're active in listening to their feedback and taking customers concerns head on. We added ourselves to the waitlist through Yelp, when we arrived, we were seated right away. Upon accepting coffee, the waitress left the pot on my table and I noticed they do this for every table drinking coffee so you don't have to wave or chase around your waiter/waitress for a refill. The food was amazing, best tasting scrambled eggs I've had and we loved the multi-grain pancakes. They're not super fluffy, which is great, because you don't feel stuffed afterwards and they have a great variety of flavors to make them even more tasty. Went here for girls brunch over the weekend. I've been to several first watch locations and this one use to be my favorite. However, the weekend we went was underwhelming. The service was far from decent. Our waitress seemed unorganized, and when she initially came to the table she slapped her pad down onto it to take our order. We had to ask several times for extra napkins and silverware and eventually my friend got up and went and got us extra because neither of the servers we asked returned with any. If I could give 0 star, I would. Came in on a Thursday afternoon when it WAS NOT busy. Waited at the host table at the front door for at least 5 minutes--nobody bothered to attend to the people trying to be seated at this cafe. Finally the host/server came & I told her: table for 1 please. She gave me a sour face & took the menu with such half-ass effort & attitude. Sat me down next to where a technician was working on the ceiling panel. Wouldn't you think to place me somewhere where my food would be safe from particles falling from the ceiling? That was not the worst part. I sat down at my table for a full 10 minutes before walking out because NOBODY paid enough attention to come & take my order. I saw 4 female servers behind the cash register just talking & laughing whilst I was eagerly waiting to place my order before heading to the airport but no one wanted to look my way even when I was trying to flag them down. Wow what a waste of time!! I'm sure the food is great (they look great in pictures) but if the service quality is worse than most chain fast food restaurants, then why would I bother? read more

I called and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Robert. I asked Robert a simple question regarding hiring staff, Robert, then immediately and abruptly hung up the phone. I called back and spoke to the Manager, Cynthia, who stated that Robert meant to mute me, but accidentally hung up. Let's use logic; if Robert meant to mute, wouldn't Robert have communicated something to the effect of "give me a moment I'll be right with you" or "May I place you on a brief hold?" something to that effect versus an abrupt hang up? I do not believe this excuse from Robert nor the back up from Cynthia. It was clear Robert's intent was to not care. This is not only unacceptable and poor quality customer service but raises concern as to how staff dealing with phone service are not trained on proper phone etiquette. By far the best breakfast that I have had in Arizona since I've been here. The iced coffee was perfectly sweetened. And honestly the million dollar bacon is to the moon. Get here early cause it runs out fast. The burrito was full of the good stuff, and not just stuffed with wrap and potato. With green chili sauce that was on point. We also had the common pancakes which were divine. To be honest there is nothing about the food that I didn't love. Staff was great, fast, and friendly. And the ambience and design is awesome. Don't bother checking in online through there website. Tells us we are checked in and we will have a table in 35-40 minutes. Then we walk in 35 minutes later to ask and they say ok you're now checked in and the wait starts now. Are you kidding me!!! And the girls could care less. It's so hard to find a place we can all enjoy and where we feel it's not bad for our kids. This place was awesome, my 3 kids had chocolate chip pancakes, egg and either bacon and sasauge....ok so this isn't the healthiest choice but its healthier than IHOP or other places. I had the avocado toast with eggs WOW. It was so good and I'm so full. I had their awesome coffee, as well as the kale drink. It was all so good. We are adding this place to our top spots. Went in for breakfast this morning. I saw their website and they looked interesting. I had the Cornbread Carnitas Bowl, and my sister had the Traditional Breakfast. The Cornbread Carnitas bowl consisted of black beans, carnitas (of course), two poached eggs with pico de gallo, avocado and cotija cheese with some grilled cornbread. The carnitas were moist and flavorful, but possibly a bit too much garlic. Eggs were almost perfect. The pico was bland...no jalapeno I could discern, not even any cilantro. Beans were okay. The cornbread was sweet and the grilling gave it a crispy edge. Trad breakfast is eggs, country potatoes, toast, and a choice of meat. My sister said it was all adequate. Their glassware is a bit off-putting. Much of it appears cloudy and streaky. Looks like it is dirty, but if it is, the film can't be wiped off with a paper napkin...I tried. Our waitress was okay...not the best. All the other tables around had carafes of water, but she never brought one to our table or asked if we wanted one, even though she brought one to the party at the table next to us. She pretty much left us alone while we were eating. I'm still undecided how I feel about that. On the one hand, I'm used to servers stopping by once or twice to ask if anything is needed, but on the other it's kind of nice to be left alone to eat in peace. read more

My Mother and I were going to brunch and I tried to check in on the app when we left her house and it said no wait, so 10 minutes later we got right into a booth (granted it continued to fill up immediately after our arrival) our server was fantastic super friendly and helpful. My Mother always gets the steel cut oatmeal our server asked if she ever tried the granola with Greek yogurt she said no so he brought her a sample of it to see if she wanted it for her next visit. I got the bacado omelette, I'm usually not a fan of bacon but I wanted to try it. Bacon was crisp torn into small pieces, Monterrey jack cheese sour cream and avocado. When it arrived it had a small piece of avocado on top and I thought "great there's my tiny avocado portion" to my surprise it was actually filled with it so much that I couldn't eat it all.
