I stumbled upon First Watch after searching unsuccessfully for vegan breakfast options in Hershey. When my husband and I visited around 9:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning, we joined a crowd of people waiting to be seated. The hostess assured me that vegan options were available so we decided to wait. While waiting, we noticed that the service tends to be slow and a bit unorganized as other reviews state. However, once we received our food we felt like the care put into the food preparation may contribute to the slower service. I had the AM Superfoods Bowl which consisted of a chia seed/coconut milk pudding with granola and fruit, as well as fresh bread with almond butter, which I was told was vegan as-is without modifications. Everything was so delicious that I plan to try to replicate it at home. My husband (who is clearly not vegan) enjoyed his cornbread carnitas bowl. They did forget the cornbread at first, but promptly returned with two pieces. Hershey is not exactly a vegan-friendly place, especially for breakfast options, so First Watch was a great find! read more

We've been waiting to come and try this place, but probably won't be back (it's not worth waiting for the food, even though the eggs were good). Irv's Pub, Troeg's, and the Hershey Pantry are all better options in our opinion. Or, drive out to Harrisburg for a better brunch experience at the Millworks or Home 231. We were seated before the expected time utilizing the app, which we appreciated . The waitress was cold to us from the beginning. We didn't receive water for the table until after about 45 minutes of sitting there while still waiting for our food, which took forever to come out (two other groups complained about their long wait for food, as well, as we were waiting). The eggs were very good. The pancakes came out warm at best. The specialty beverages are not with it. You're paying $3.99 for a cup filled to capacity with ice (the restaurant should think about changing the cup size or utilizing less ice for the perception of receiving more beverage to the consumer). read more

Very long wait to get seated, menu had healthier selection then I was used to for breakfast, very tasty. Not sure if it was my taste buds or not, but it was the beat coffee I had in months. This is easily one of my favorite breakfast places in the area. The food comes out relatively quickly even on days when it is packed, and always tastes delicious. The atmosphere can be a little claustrophobic sometimes but that is only due in part to how successful they have become. My only complaint is that pretty consistently the servers have been a little bit to lax with service and do not come to the table often. If you are going to go I recommend the biscuits and gravy, amazing! read more

I've eaten at First Watch restaurants around the country and they are always good. Took my wife and daughter for breakfast this morning. Service was very good. We were seated promptly and our server was very friendly. (Plus she wrote down our order which I appreciate). I had the lemon pancakes with chicken sausage and kale tonic. Wife had pancakes with cheesy grits. The kid had biscuits and gravy. All food was hot and arrived quickly. The only minor issue was my daughters scrambled eggs were slightly under cooked. Otherwise we were pleased. We left talking about what we'll have next time we visit. Restaurant was very clean and bright. read more

First Watch has the best food but the one thing is that it takes half hour to 45 minutes to get your food and thats it so yea!!!

UPDATE: We decided to wait to try the food. It was not worth the wait. It took a LONG time to get food in spite of telling our server we had another commitment to get to in an hour. One of our orders was completely wrong. In spite of knowing we were short on time, the offer was to remake the order. At checkout the hostess offered us a $2 coupon when I responded that our meal was only OK. There are many better brunch choices. In Hershey try The Mill which is delicious and offers mimosas and bloody Mary's. The Pantry is excellent but not open Sundays. In Harrisburg Tomato Pie Cafe is a similar menu to First Watch and consistently excellent. Original Review: No idea if it's good. I was told 30-45 minute wait which has come and gone. There are 4 empty tables on the patio that have been empty the entire time 2 of us were waiting. Very poorly managed and understaffed for a Sunday morning. Look elsewhere. read more

First Watch in Hershey is my #1 favorite place to eat. The menu is filled with great choices and the food is always cooked perfectly using fresh top quality ingredients. The staff is professional, friendly, efficient and always ready to make your dining experience the best it can be. The facility is clean and I'm so impressed with how they have maintained strict CDC guidelines during this past year so I know it's a safe place for my family when we want to go out to eat. It's a very bad place for foreign tourists. We went on Saturday, and was annoying for the waitress that we didn't have a US phone number to do the check-in. (We had one international number but looks like it doesn't work to do the check-in.) So, she requested us to wait for 15 minutes outside, she might call us at any moment (Around 3ºC), finally we waited for 1 hour and she never call us (Even when we ask her for a table multiples times and the same answer --15 minutes--). And the worse part, all the couples with check-in after us got a table first than us! Extremely disappointing. read more

Ate there 3 times in a week, food was ok. Coffee was like brown water, but ok. Tried to eat there Friday. Called to order ahead for pickup. They won't take the order over the phone, want me to use the app or the website. I'm not happy. I'm literally on the phone with you right now. You're redirecting me to download an app or go to the website. Not happy. But I do it bc I would like avocado toast. I go to the website. Of course I need to create an account. Try to checkout as a guest. Find what I need. Avocado toast, check. Brown water coffee, check. The website won't proceed past the pay portion. Aaaaaaand I'm done. It doesn't seem hard. You have the food. I have money and I'm trying to give it to you in exchange for the food. You literally have me on the phone and you redirect me to jump through broken hoops. My husband and I stopped in here for breakfast before house hunting and we loved it. I had the breakfast tacos and he had the breakfast carnitas burrito, both were delicious and the coffee was good. On top of great food, Sherri, our waitress was Fantastic. Super friendly and stayed on top of everything we needed. I will definitely be back. read more

Horrible service. Seated quickly due to app reservation. Waited 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us sitting at table, another 15minutes for our drinks, over 20 minutes for our food. Waitress wrote everything down and they still messed up order. Forgot potatoes, came back a minute later and they were hardly cooked and pale. Time to find another breakfast place, I already knew that the wait times were ridiculous. But now it's not worth it if the food is crap. read more

We have eaten at First Watch in the South and the food is unique and outstanding, no difference in the Hershey First Watch. It was very busy but everyone was polite, friendly and professional. One thing I noticed in Hershey First Watch is the ceiling is high which makes it very difficult to have a conversation with people. Acoustics are horrible but the food is excellent. read more

When we joined our family, they asked us 3 times to order within the first 5 minutes we were there. After ordering, we waited 45 minutes for our food. My wife and I had a terrible experience at this location. We have been to two other locations and love first watch. The food is fantastic and very fresh. When we went here the server left the previous glasses on the table, with the tip money still under the glasses, and argued that they were clean. There was orange juice still in the cups but she continued to argue that they were clean. We asked to speak to a manager. When we finally found him he was very dismissive and rude as well. The food here was awesome; however, when I asked for coffee, the waitress came back with just water!! I still didn't say anything because I thought maybe it was one of those places where they give you water no matter what, but that wasn't the case because I never got any coffee. The waitress either has to learn the difference between normal water and coffee, or just get hearing aids. 3/5. read more

Food was okay, but literally the worst service I have ever received. We sat hungry and thirsty at the table for a full 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our existence. We ordered beverage and meals at once. Water never made it to the table, despite 2 empty water glasses. It took another 10 minutes for juice to show up and ANOTHER 30 minutes for the omelette and French toast to arrive. Cold. I had to ask for my coffee twice and my daughter waited - you guessed it - another 10 minutes for syrup after the food finally made it to the table. My advice: eat before you go, you'll be hungry again before you get your food. read more

Just went here for a late brunch. The food was delicious!! I had the avocado toast on sourdough with fruit and my dad's girlfriend had a power wrap, which was apparently very good. My iced coffee was very sweet as well- I didn't even have to add anything! One major drawback for this place- the food took FOREVER! We are visiting Hershey and went to First Watch because we recognized it from having one at home that we love. The two stars is generous only because the food is consistent with what we expect from the brand, very good. Otherwise, we waited 50 minutes for our food. Every time we looked back at the kitchen it seemed like the cooks were laughing joking and having a great time. There were several dirty empty tables with a line out the door waiting to be seated. When I went to pay at the register the hostess was rude and wanted me to wait behind all the people waiting to be seated to pay. They really need to get it together. I was quite hesitant about trying this new restaurant after reading the reviews, but I'm actually really glad we decided to go! We used the Yelp app to get on the waitlist. It listed a 30-45 minute wait, but from the time of getting on the list to our table it was hardly even 30 minutes! We had looked at the menus and knew what we wanted. The waitress greeted us within a couple minutes and we ordered. Got my iced coffee within a few more minutes, and food within about 20 minutes. We both ordered omelettes. Everything was super fresh and delicious. We were in and out of the restaurant in just under an hour. Waitresses and greet staff were all friendly. Will definitely be back! read more

I've eaten at First Watch 3 times and had the exact same experience each time. Food is good. Service and cleanliness is AWFUL. Literally food and trash all over the floor. Took 11 minutes for a server to greet our table, salad dressings were wrong, meals were delivered 10 minutes apart, waitress never checked on us, manager didn't care, etc. Get the food to go! read more

Tried First Watch during the first week of its opening. Service was very friendly, helpful albeit slow (to be expected as they work out the kinks.) I had the Chile chorizo omelette and my wife had the breakfast tacos. Both were excellent choices! Thank goodness Hershey has another breakfast joint. Will return again and again! read more
