We came here for Mother's day for Brunch. We got there before the crowd so we were seated right away. The food came out quickly and was warm and delicious. I got the Strawberry french toast filled with cream cheese. It was a huge portion and was decently priced. They have a lot of omelet options and even allow you to substitute egg whites and cholesterol-free eggs for no extra charge. Also since it was Mother's day they gave free boxes of chocolate. That was a very sweet touch (which is why I gave it a 5 instead of a 4). I would come back for brunch again! read more

Each visit here just gets worse and worse. Always busy and overpacked and you have to wait over an hour to get your food. The time before last there was a hair on my eggs, sent it back but it took 20 minutes to get new eggs so my toast and pancakes were already cold. They brought out cold pancakes for me and my family this most recent time. Rude customer service as well. Their wait in line app is weird and the employees don't do a good job of explaining it without attitude. Won't be returning to this location anymore! read more

Coffe was good. Everyone was nice and pleasant. My food was cold, so the waitress offered to bring me a fresh one and when she gave me the bill she took off the charges of my food. I enjoyed my experience and because of their politness and hospitality i will be back. read more

All I gotta say is, don't come on a busy morning. I arrived around 10:45am and sat outside where it's open seating. I witnessed a server greet and bring drinks to two tables that sat a few minutes after we did while we waited for over 10 minutes without being acknowledged. Once we did get noticed we gave her the entire order because I figured that'd be quicker. Nope. The two tables that sat after us had already eaten and paid out before we even got our food and at that point it was 11:45 and I literally had to grab an employee to ask about my meal. On the weekends there is always a long wait in the morning. There food is pretty healthy and they have lots of options. My favorite is the key west crepe. It's has turkey and avocado it's delicious. They have tasty potatoes or you can do a side of fruit. I've also eaten here for lunch and they have good salads. It's really reasonably priced. Went there with an old Navy buddy for breakfast. Restaurant has nice size and you can spread out a little and not feel like everyone is listening to your conversation. Greeted very quickly and seated. We ordered coffee and the waitress brought out a pot to share. I like this so you can replenish your cup when you need a warmer. I ordered an omelet and so did my buddy. Everything seemed very fresh and on the upscale side. They like to serve food on the healthy side which included a side of leafy greens which was interesting. Definitely 180 degrees away from eating biscuit and gravy. Overall we both were impressed with the service and the food. Breakfast was around $30.00 for both. Wife and I went for breakfast yesterday. Sevice was slow. I ordered the eggs benidict. Had a strange tangy taste. Wife ordered a sandwich and the egg was supposed to be runny. It wasnt. Coffee was old. Took forever to get the check. It was not busy si we didn't understand the reason it was slow. With the abundance of breakfast spots in jacksonville you would think best foot forward. First time at First Watch, there was nothing wrong with this place. Amazing customer service, great food.

I never even realized this was a restaurant until my wife told me about a coworker that had tried it. Firstwatch sounds more like an alarm company. There were only 7 other people in the restaurant. I was immediately put off by the waiter. He was rude, has a stuck up attitude. He brought a milk jug of water and filled the 2 shot glasses on our table. I asked for a dr. Pepper but was told they only had coke and diet coke. I told him I would just have water and asked for a normal glass with ice and a straw. He snapped back, do you want lemon too? With a smart ass tone to his voice. He came back 7 minutes later (I timed it) and asked to take our order. I reminded him about the water and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. 5 minutes later we finally got our water and placed our order. I ordered the breakfast tacos which were good, but very small. My wife ordered french toast and bac on on the side. The French Toast were bland and dry. The bacon was ridiculously expensive!!!!!! $4 for 3 pieces!!!!! That's just stupid to charge that much for bacon!!! Our bill ended up being just over $30, way too much for what it was!!! Having recently moved to Jacksonville, the first few times we drove by we honestly thought it was some sort of clinic/doctor's office (by it's location in a strip mall and the looks of their logo), but Yelp insisted it was a restaurant. Glad we trusted Yelp and checked it out for brunch! The menu is a bit elevated from typical diner fare and has many healthier breakfast options. The food is good and the atmosphere is light. This my second time here. Natalia was are server and she was very helpful! Sat us down right away and got us are coffee promptly. ( coffee is a must love it! That is if you like coffee. ) I ordered the cranberry nut oatmeal comes with cranberries, pecans, sliced bananas, low fat milk, brown sugar, and English muffin. It's about 4.99 in a small soup size cup. What I loved is I like my oatmeal done a certain way and she got it on the money which I appreciate greatly! We went on a Sunday morning before the church rush and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Clean, open establishment with fresh food. I like the individual coffee and water carafes, especially on a weekend with the potential for a long wait for refills. I got the Bacado, and it was delIcious along with the potatoes. My bf got a Power Wrap with a side of fruit and that too was very tasty he said. The roasted crimini mushrooms are the best part. I only wish the sides of house-made salsa were a bit larger. I can't wait to try the whole wheat pancakes and quinoa bowls. Serving sizes were a little small but more on par with a healthy diet. Overall job well done! read more

This is a great spot for a weekend brunch! They have a main menu that for the most part stays the same. It has a variety of pancake/waffle type options, omelets, hashbrowns, and a "healthier side" low-cal side menu. Something I really like is that they also have a seasonal menu that changes as you'd expect. During the summer they have a great item called the Brûléed Banana Waffle, it has bananas and candied bacon on top of it and tastes wonderful. I'd definitely recommend the place to anyone looking for brunch year-round! My only grievance is that they close at 2pm, and I'm one of those people who can eat breakfast at any hour. read more

I used to be in love with First Watch -- the Floridian french toast, the fresh OJ, and Fall pumpkin pancakes are consistently delightful. Unfortunately, my last couple of experiences have left me thinking my love for First Watch has run its course. On one recent visit, we were seated outside. After 20+ minutes, no server had come to our table, so I let them know at the hostess stand. They kindly sent a waitress to take our order. However, other than delivering drinks and our meal, we never again saw a staff member -- despite needing refills, etc. When it came time to pay the bill, I again had to visit the hostess desk to request our check. Wanting to give my love for First Watch another chance, I decided to try First Watch again a few weeks later. Two hours passed from the time we were seated at our table until we received our check. Two hours! Yes, the restaurant was busy, but not *that* busy. The tables around us also had extraordinarily long food wait times on that day as well. -- This created a rather uncomfortable dining experience as small children at nearby tables grew increasingly restless and their parents increasingly impatient. I'll probably give First Watch another chance .... but I'm sticking to other options for awhile. read more

Very disappointing. Arrived at 8:00. Only about half full. It took 45 minutes for breakfast to arrive, my eggs were room temperature. Had ordered the "million dollar bacon" but it took an hour and arrived on my way out. I'll never go back. read more

We spent our honeymoon in the Jacksonville area and this was actually our favorite meal all week! We were just going for something we thought would be a light lunch, but First Watch quickly turned into a favorite. We got coffee, a giant muffin, and two delicious and fresh meals for about $22 - not bad! Would highly recommend as the dishes are very creative and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. read more

My wife and I have eaten here twice and had the best service ever., We shop in that mall often and there are other places to eat, But the great food and fantastic service is what keeps us eating here. And not anywhere else.. I recomend the 2 for you menu, I have the half sandwhich and half salad. I am a big eater and that fills me up. My wife is a Transplant Patient and her appatiete is somewhat low but the food here has increased her wanting to eat because she tells me it tastes great.. The blueberry pancakes were some of the best pancakes I've eaten in 2 years! Not only is their food delicious but is also fairly healthy.

We walked in to the restaurant, some friends came with us and we wanted two tables. The girl at the front desk was kind of rude about it. It took them a little while to clean both of the tables. Floor was very dirty under some of tables including ours. There was even a piece of half-eaten toast under one of our tables. The chairs were also dirty. Our waitress wasn't trying to be rude, but she seemed to hate her job. We also asked for fresh cream for our coffee, but she never brought it and we had to ask someone else to bring us some cream. Coffee was pretty good. My sister ordered an omelette and she specifically said no chilies but they loaded it with chilies. They were able to fix it and they did not charge for it. Our waitress was also apologetic about it so it turned the tide for her. The manager however, did give us a $20 dollar gift card to make up for all of the trouble. I ordered the Works omelette which was really good. I am going to give this place three stars and I plan to come back, both because I have been here before multiple times and those experiences were really good. So tune in next time! read more

This is my favorite place for breakfast when I visit family in Jacksonville. I wish there was one closer to my home in MD. Great selection on the menu. Food is always good. If you are with a group and want separate checks no problem; the bill automatically divides the check, including tax, by the number of people at the table. I have to say they do need to improve on the coffee- too watered down, not much flavor(aka too weak). But this would not keep me from returning again and again. Kudos to our waiter, Patrick (PJ). We had a tough morning in "toddler land". My granddaughter was choking and was saved by her father, got all the food out (thank goodness) then she spilled a full glass of Apple juice. Patrick was calm and reassuring it was not a problem. He had a great attitude while helping us with a very messy breakfast. This is a very popular restaurant; get there by nine am or earlier on the weekend otherwise you will have a pretty long wait. But, their Web page will alert you to the wait time. read more
