I found this place on Yelp after leaving Naval Station Mayport. The reviews and salads offered swayed me to try it and I was not disappointed! The service was excellent and the Gyro meat was some really of the best I've ever had! The seating area is small with only two tables and a bar area. There are a couple outside tables too for nice days. I saved it in my collection for a future return trip. Enjoy!

Such a cute spot. Yelp has never steered us wrong. Arepa please got great reviews and I can see why. I asked for recommendation because I couldn't choose which arepa to try. Without hesitation they said the special is the pabellon. The meat was juicy tender and perfectly seasoned. The tequenos were also fantastic.

Very amazing food! I got the queen and the pabellon and was thoroughly impressed. It did need a touch of salt however great non the less also the plantains were superb. For the price it's really not bad. Highly recommend and service was quick and the beautiful mural on the side was the cherry on top!

I love love love this place!!! The food is great! The ambience is quiet and quaint, whilst very Latin. The people who work inside are kind and the recommendation the hostess put me on to was to die for. I came late last night with my two teenage nephews hungry and in a hurry to eat something yummy. Arepa Please is one of my go-to spots to bring visiting families. So, just as years passed, we stopped in to try something new. I ordered the gyro salad for the first time alongside cachapas and a hot cafe con leche per the instructions of the hostess. Everything came out well presented, seasoned and portioned. The boys enjoyed a burger (that didn't last long at the table) and a burrito so good the other one was long sleep in the car on the way home. Go here! And their riverside location! That's all.

I've had arepas before but nothing quite the arepas from Arepa Please. These arepas are monstrously big, are packed with flavor. Overall, it's a casual venue for a quick flavorful bite.

Yummy little spot! Counter service, easy ordering, and clean spot. 2 tables and some bar like seating available. There are also a few tables outside. Ample parking

I was hungry late late night and decided to give this place a try since I really like arepas. Also I really like how vibrant the restaurant looks from the outside. I just got one vegan arepa. When I ordered my food was ready very quickly. And when I took it out it was really hot. I was shocked by how much filling they packed into it. And their portion are very generous! I ordered the guacamole and beans and oh man! They packed in like 2 avocados into my arepa! It looked like mostly avocado. But I later found out the beans just fell to the bottom. But oh man I really enjoyed eating it! The straps was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the filling was very flavorful. I really liked the green sauce that came with it. Totally recommend this spot right by the beach!

This was my first visit to the new AREPAPLEASE Atlantic Beach location. I decided to try an arepa I hadn't had yet & went with the Porko Loco (slow-cooked pork marinated in red wine, queso blanco). It was delicious! The pork was so flavorful and tender. My friend went with her usual, the Fancy Monkey (fried plantains, queso blanco, black beans, avocado). I tried a bite and it was great too. The arepas are huge so be prepared to leave with a to-go box. My friend's arepa had what looked like an entire small avocado in hers.

Shared parking lot gets a little busy, but you might get lucky. Also, might depend on the day/time. We went at noon on a Sunday, my friend got front row parking, we got lucky someone was leaving as we drove around the lot. Score! Seating is limited. Small space, but they made it work! Two tables in the front can seat group of 4s, the other seating is a bar top along the right side, with view of Atlantic Blvd. The sun might get hot in the afternoon (just a heads up), but they do have a sunshade. There are also a few small tables out front. Super cute decor along the walls. Order at the register. My friend got the Tequenos to share. Yummm. Think of it like mozzarella sticks, but Venezuelan style. Hehe. I got the Pabellon Arepa, yummmm. So flavorful and they fill it to overflow. I like the arepa, it's not too thick and grainy (like some places). I also got the chicken empanada, just because. Yes, it was a lot of food and I took other half home. I like the hats, too. Fun little spot definitely worth checking out! Oh! And they have the good ice! #iykyk Hehe. Yes, please.

This new place is awesome. I have passed it many times and did not realize it was a restaurant. Luckily, my husband took me here to try it. It's a smaller location, with minimal seating, BUT SO WORTH THE VISIT. I ordered the queen. The young lady taking my order explained it would be served on a crunchy bread-type thing similar to a mix of cornbread and English muffin. Weird thought, but she was right. It was thin and crunchy and so, so good. The Queen is a Venezuelan chicken sandwich with avocado, and it came with a green liquid side. Do not know what it was, but it totally needed to be put on my sandwich. My husband got the Pabellon. He's a man of few words, saying it was great, and we will be coming back. We also ordered Yuka fries. I loved them. They were cooked evenly, and they were better than my husband's but I will never tell him that. Another favorite thing about this place for me was all the different types of handing art but all the subjects had on a white scarf with red dots. I wish I knew the meaning of that.

Service was great. Greeted with friendly faces and welcoming atmosphere. Food is cooked to order so its fresh. I ordered to go but was a cute little place! The gyro is packed with meat and lettuce and tomato, I ended up using a fork :)

I truly wish I could give them 10-stars! I'm a big fan of their Riverside location - but it is so far from me - so of course I was ecstatic to hear that they were opening a location in Atlantic Beach. I stopped by the new location for the first time today and I might have to go back tomorrow. My arepa was soooooooo delicious! I ordered my go-to - the 'Mona Chicken' with added guacamole and I'm still thinking about every single bite. It is so filling and comes with a sauce on the side (not sure what it is but it's super good as well.) They are a bit pricey, since everything is 'à la carte', but truly worth the cost! I will also note that this location is way smaller than the Riverside location.

We got off the trolley at Stop 20, National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche, and were going to walk to the restaurant. Unbeknownst to us, there was no crosswalk to cross the busy Ponce de Leon boulevard. Mom isn't as spry as she once was so we didn't risk crossing without a crosswalk, so we had to walk another 1/4 or so to the nearest crosswalk then doubled back to the restaurant. Located in the The Ponce St. Augustine hotel, the restaurant is just to the left of the main doors. We had to wait a bit to get seated as the lone server had to clean a table first. Service was slow. I ordered the Bistec a Caballo (medium), my wife tried their Pork de Leon with fries and my mom opted for the Inca bowl. Did I say service was slow? Our orders weren't synched up. My order and my wife's sandwich were served first and we had to wait a few minutes before my mom's dish was served. My wife liked her sandwich and fries although she thought the shredded pork was a bit dry. My mom liked the flavors of her dish, with tender cuts of meat and smoky soy sauce flavor. The Bistec a Caballo had decent flavors BUT that steak was tough, even ordered medium. I felt like I was cutting through shoe leather cutting it with the serrated knife. Slow service and a tough steak bumped our rating down. We just couldn't overlook the quality and/or preparation of my steak, even with good flavors. Lunch for 3 came out to just over $67 with tip. Oh yeah, they add a surcharge for credit card payments.

I had my first meal there when I visited Jacksonville Beach recently. Got the grilled bone-in yellow snapper, which was a daily special. Fresh, meaty, smoky. It was served with mixed greens and apple salad, some grilled green onions and freshly made corn tortillas. All paired well with the fish. The tortillas were about 0.75oz per piece. Moreover, the dish was served on a HUGE cutting board! I also ordered a side of Spanish rice, but surprisingly the manager took it off from my bill, saying that "[he was] glad that I enjoyed the meal so much"! The first meal was indeed impressive; it had been a while since I had had such Mexican food last time. So I decided to give it another try the next evening. Ordered the Carne Asada (asked for rare) and sub the beans with extra tortillas (to avoid high GI food). But the steak was disappointing: the first time it was served ~medium-well. The second time it was ~medium-rare so I did not complain twice. However, it was quite chewy. One reason was that, as you can see from my picture, the meat was not rest long enough before it was sliced and served. Service was good, friendly and quick. The restuarant was a bit noisy but I enjoyed the energy. Moreover, there were lots of beautiful decors and murals. I really like the tiger painted on the wall of their main dining area. So in short, I would recommend this restaurant if you like Mexican food. I would recommend the seafood and slowly-cooked stuff, like their short rib and pork shank. And I will dine in again the next time I visit Jacksonville Beach.
