Visited first time 3/25/2017 with daughter who recommended for breakfast before our beach walk. Place is larger than it appears from the outside. Female host could've been attentive. She disregarded me a few times from the moment I walked in as I attempted to give my name for waiting list, as if I were a bother - first impression very important. Thankful for the gentleman standing by her (owner or manager perhaps?) who was very nice and acknowledged my attempts, btw I was the only customer standing in front counter/register. Wait was about 5 minutes to be seated. Waited little over 5 minutes for waitress, she took order, brought food/beverages, check was accurate. Glasses for water had eggy/fishy smell, asked for straws and were brought after asking 3 times, at the end we just skipped the water. Menu has a good variety. We ordered two Tri-Athletes (great for $8.49 each), two decaf coffees (nice that they leave carafe at table and coffee was freshly brewed, delicious), and from their juice bar one Kale Tonic and one Day Glow which were very good. Juices arrived in 5 minutes, hot food in 10 minutes which was okay considering it seemed to be a busy Saturday morning and it's made to order. Meals were generous and satisfying. AC was a little too cool so food got cold mid eating. Check was brought before we were done with our meals, which I prefer. Walked to front counter/register to pay, previous female host had been replaced (thank God!) and a very nice young lady with glasses took my payment. Our total time there was about 30-35 minutes. I will go again, however on a week day to avoid weekend crowds. read more

Great brunch place!!! Food was awesome I had the trifecta waffles were sooo good. Husband had the elevated sandwich which looked really good too. We love trying out new places and would definitely recommend this one. read more

Delicious choices! I had a breakfast sandwich that came out on a bun that was not toasted. I though oh no this is not going to be good but it was amazing! It had an over easy egg, avocado, bacon, arugula tossed in light lemon dressing and cheese (I am not sure about the cheese). It was unusual but delicately wonderful. There were home fries that were okay but who cares! Did not need to eat for another 7 hours. My companion had an amazing 1/2 and 1/2 combination of honey chicken pecan salad and roast beef and havarti sandwich. He said he learned to ask for the dressing on the side because it can be too much if not. The roast beef sandwich is grilled with cheddar on the outside with a delicious crunch. The beef is sliced thin and satisfying . Our meal was wonderful. Added bonus join their club which you can do on your phone while you wait for your meal and get a buy one get one deal if there are two in your party. Plus my companion says they send him $2 off coupons off in his email all the time. The service was good and the restrooms clean. Downside they close at 2:30pm. read more

I LOVE the lemon ricotta pancakes! A perfect balance of sweet and tart, you'll never need butter and I wouldn't suggest the syrup.. at least until after all the lemon curd and strawberries are gone. The only thing I've ordered that I was disappointed by was the breakfast tacos. The crispy shells were hard to eat and made a mess. I would've liked a choice to have them soft instead. read more

It was a toss up between a 2 or 3 star. We have been regular brunch/lunch customers at this First Watch location for several years. While the food is still good, the service and cleanliness of the restaurant has deteriorated over the past month. Today was our turning point. People waiting for tables, but empty tables not bussed. Two tables around us were not cleaned during our 45 minutes there. Floor littered. No one checked with us after food arrived. Finally a refill of drink was offered after we had eaten. Our check arrived with our refills. No one at cashiers station to pay. There used to be active management participation and attentive wait staff...not the case anymore. First time going to this place and I must say it was not a good experience at all. It's a Friday morning and it was pretty busy. So seeing that I thought "oh this place must be awesome"! Not really...first of all restaurants are supposed to have a host/hostess at ALL times. This place had its host running all over the place. Stood at the front of the restaurant for 20 mins just waiting for someone to seat us. (Just 2 of us) And when he finally came he said there is a 10-15 min wait. There was a party of 6 that came in 10 mins after we did and they got seated before us! The first thought that came to mind was this place seemed very unorganized. The wait staff seemed to be all over the place. When we finally got seated, we both ordered an ice coffee. It took like 10 mins just to get those. The waiter was really nice which was a plus, but I think he forgot about our food when it was done being cooked. It took probably 45 mins for our food to come out. My friend ordered one of the granola bowls which came with toast (peanut butter spread). And I ordered an omelette which came with potatoes and toast. I say he must have forgot about our food bc my omelette was room temperature when it came out. He came over and asked if the omelette was "nice and hot" I just said sure bc I didn't feel like waiting there even longer for them to fix it. With him asking that it's almost like he was making sure the food was fine bc he left it in the window to die. Another thing that was upsetting was 2 people that came in after us and got seated 20 after us got their food probably 10 mins before we did! Anyways I will not be returning here. Not worth the wait and not worth over $30 for brunch. Such a rip off. If you enjoy standing there forever waiting to be seated and waiting forever for not that great of food then come to first watch. I wanted to try this place because it's a top-ranked chain in Consumer Reports's survey. My first experience was disappointing but I'll give it another chance some time. The setting was simpler than I expected, but decent. The service was friendly. I got in and out of the restaurant fast. I also got more food than I expected (fried potatoes and a tiny fruit bowl with my entree). Those were the pluses. The negatives were that my eggs Benedict was below average and they charged me a lot to add a little ham to it. They had various preparations of eggs Benedict, one of my favorite breakfast dishes, on the menu for $8 or so each. I chose the avocado/spinach one over the ham one but asked if I could have some ham added to it. They added a small amount of sandwich-meat-style ham to it and it wasn't very good. They should have been using the traditional Canadian bacon in the first place, in my opinion. But what upset me is that they added over $3 to my bill for that ham: about 40% of the price of the dish! That's way too much for the amount of meat I got. Also, my poached eggs were very runny; I prefer them to be cooked more. Finally, the fried potatoes were too charred-tasting for me. So overall I was disappointed because I felt overcharged for a below-average rendition of eggs Benedict. I've no doubt that some of their other dishes are better, however, so I'll give the place another chance some day. read more

I'm gunna give it a three out of stars. The food was good. Hostess's had a smile on their face. They are losing points with me because of service. I took my BF out for his birthday breakfast and the server *tiffany* was probably the worst of the bunch. Took 2-3 minutes to be greeted, and it wasn't even busy. I work in a restaurant so I can understand if it's full but today it wasn't. She was rude and just seemed like we were two cheap college kids who she wasn't going to make money off of. When I told her my order, I didn't know the type of egg style it was *it ended up being eggs over medium* and when I asked her she just smirked at me like I was an idiot. After barely checking up on us, she got my order wrong. But because I just wanted to get out of there I didn't say anything. I'm gunna give this place one more time but honestly the only thing they need to change is their customer service. Thanks Tiffany. And as for tip, I always tip well even though she assumed we were cheap college kids. Now if I had tipped based off attitude she'd be left with no money. Bless up. read more

Consistently good breakfast & lunch, no matter which location we visit. Can always count on a fresh & tasty meal.

Cold food, poor quality. French toast and omelette was mediocre at best. Slightly better then chain restaurants.

This place has gone down hill. Used to be a regular stop but now after 3 recent visits we're not going back. Most recently went for lunch and the bread on my club was very stale - it just crumbled. The side salad was supposed to be dressed but it wasn't on mine or my wife's. When we asked for some dressing the waitress told us it was already on there but she would get us more. We double checked but it was just a pile of spring greens. I poured the dressing all over my stale sandwich, but it didn't really help. read more

This morning I went to this restaurant. I ordered coffee sausage and French toast dipped in custard. The French toast was hard on one side and difficult to cut with a knife. The French toast was left on the grill way to long, I would say anything if the restaurant was busy but there were only a few tables. The cook needs to start taking pride in what he prepares for the customer. I will say I still tipped the waitress, her job was flawless. read more

This restaurant has a friendly staff, with a very healthy menu!! Arrived there about 12:30pm and didn't have to wait for a table. Was seated and immediately had nice warm coffee poured for us. Ordered lunch and waited approximately 15 min to be served. The lunch was delicious and very healthy as my wife and I both had salads. I would definitely refer this restaurant to any body looking for a clean restaurant with a friendly staff and healthy food. read more

Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. The selections are amazing. The only thing that irks me is the Price Listing here since a typical "entree"+drink is definitely above $10 which would put it in the $$ range. Still, a great place to go. read more

After posting my original review, the manager of this location contacted me, concerned that my experience with this location was not what they want it to be. She indicated that they are working on the service issue, and asked me to give them another chance. So, I and two coworkers tried again. I'm glad to say that the manager was right - weekday lunch service was indeed much improved over our previous visits. Our waitstaff was quick to our table to take drink orders, quick to take our food order when we were ready, noticed and offered drink refills at the right time, and this time the food came out correctly, as ordered, and at the same time for all of us. As I said in my original review, I really like this restaurant's concept. I order something different almost every time I eat there, unlike other places where there's only one or two things on the menu that I like. I'm glad they are paying attention to the service issues that they've had. Assuming they keep that up, we'll definitely be back! read more
