I've been here several times and I gotta say the service is always excellent and I've never been disappointed in the food. The girls are always so nice too. I don't ever feel like I'm an inconvenience in there. The food is delicious, made to order. I've tried several different dishes and never disappointed. The atmosphere is friendly. The music is a little loud but it gives a fun vibe. I'm just not a morning person and prefer my meals with calmer music or no music. But the food and friendly service more than makes up for it. Not my first time at a First Watch... my second actually (that's another review), but based off of my first experience, I had to take my mother when I was back in town. She had been trapped in the house due to the pandemic and I wanted to get her out and do something we both love to do: EAT! There were folks outside with menus in their hands, so we already knew it would be a wait. 45 minutes to be exact. We just took the time to look at the menu in our vehicle to prepare ourselves for the feast we were about to enjoy. Once inside, we were seated and brought our drinks. Just water and hot tea for us. Mom settled on the Traditional with toast, potatoes, sausage patties, and scrambled eggs with cheese. I had the Works Omelet with salad and toast. My breakfast was amazing. The omelet had just the right amount of spice and the salad was dressed nicely. Mom enjoyed her food, but wasn't a fan of the chicken sausage patty. She asked for sausage links, got them... but still wasn't too thrilled. Said they were a bit too greasy for her. Although, she did say the rest of her food was delightful. We loved the atmosphere and our server was a sweetheart. My mom keeps asking when we're going next. I think I'll take her for her birthday. read more

I've got to say I love the fact they have outdoor seating but I wish they had more, at least temporarily make the area in front of the restaurant into patio seating. The wait wasn't awful on a Sunday morning... 25 minutes or so. Their food has some hit and misses. Loved their coffee bacon... a bit pricey but a nice treat for sure. It's the perfect appetizer to whet your appetite. The pancakes are yummy but you can easily make some good ones with homemade recipes. None of the other entrees excited me. I got my entire dental office to order lunch from here and no one was impressed. When I did dine there, I asked for a cup of hot water. The waitress gave me a metal teapot. What I poured out was coffee water. It was even tinged yellow brown. I told the cashier this when I paid and she said ok I'll let them know. We were happy to see a First Watch in Jacksonville, NC. The menu and the food are pretty consistent across the chain but expect a little variation in many of the dishes as the cooks seems to have a little flexibility in presentation. The ingredients always seem fresh and there is a "eat healthy" tilt to the menu. However you can get sides like seasoned potatoes if that's your thing. It was clean, fairly efficient, and friendly. There are lots of local breakfast places that are more homey and cheaper but First Watch providesa good consistent product and experience. read more

The service started off slow. About 5 minutes after seated our waitress finally arrived. We had water and ordered our omelette. This is where stuff definitely improved. The omelette was fabulous. Plenty of ingredients inside and the toast and compote were worth the price of admission. It's a little on the pricey side, but I don't mind paying for good food. There's always kinks to workout at new locations (This is the second time I've been to a newly opened location), but the food is always great. My favorite is the BLT eggs Benedict. We don't have these in San Diego, so, when I am in Tennessee or traveling to other states, I know I can depend on a great breakfast! Today I tried the lemon ricotta pancakes and breakfast tacos! My friend and I shared them! They were perfection! I ordered an iced coffee, and when the waitress asked if I wanted another one, I really hesitated --Not sure if I wanted the caffeine and then decided to say yes. Imagine my surprise when I got billed for that second one! I assumed a refill of iced coffee would be the same as a refill on a cup of hot coffee and there would be no charge! When I told the cashier about it, she said she was sorry about that, but did not remove it. I think this should've been handled entirely differently! Live and learn, but this is not a good business practice! A note in the menu next to that item, saying "no refills" would've been helpful! read more

My wife has eaten here before and she praised it highly, but I had to see for myself. Upon entering I observed that the ambiance was very warm and inviting, as well as the hostess. She seemed legitimately interested in our comfort and ensured that we were comfortable when we were sat. The waitress (Elizabeth) wasted no time in arriving to take our drink order. After our coffee arrived she took our order. My son chose the Grilled Cheese (figures, lol), I chose the Ham and Gruyère Cheese Omelet, and my wife chose the Salmon Egg Benedict, which we received faster than I was expecting. Seriously, it felt as if we were the only customers, and the house was filled! The food was cooked to perfection! The eggs were light and fluffy, the ham was delicious, and the potatoes were seasoned to enhance the natural flavor, instead of masking it. Great service, as always. Rarely have much of a wait, especially if you use the online option of joining the waitlist. Restaurant is always clean and extremely well staffed and of all of our visits. Today was the first time I had a meal that I didn't absolutely love. I ordered the Floridian French toast, and it tasted like stale old bread topped with an abundance of fresh cut fruit and powdered sugar. Usually better...missed the mark this time. Food: Farmhouse Breakfast Hash was VERY SALTY. I was expecting something lighter with tomatoes, avocados, eggs, etc. But every bite was salt. I suspect each ingredient had been salted separately and then it together in the pan and salted again. Unfortunate. They've done a lot better before. Belgian Waffle was overdone and no syrup ever brought with the dish. It was just ok. Service: Waitress was very kind when our food took over an hour but glasses were empty and refills needed. She did apologize for the food being late but kept missing the glasses. Bathroom was DISGUSTING. I went twice and both times it smelled like there was a much-needed courtesy flush overdue but toilets were empty. Trash overflowing. Ambiance It's a cute place. I ordered the smoked salmon Eggs Benedict and although the flavors were great the eggs were not poached... they were way overcooked to the point of hard boiled . The wait staff was amazingly friendly and for how busy this place was she was doing an incredible job. I would definitely come back here. Wait time for food was a while but the place was packed so that's normal. If you're so panning on coming in on a weekend anytime after 7 am, call in or reserve your spot online ahead of time. If the wait staff wasn't so awesome I'd give it a three star rating due to the eggs being over cooked in the Benedict. It is clear they are incredibly professional and really do a great job. Started with the "Morning Meditation" juice, fantastic taste! Next came the "Fully Loaded Bagel" with lox and all the fixings on an everything bagel. Also at the table was the "Inspired Italian" omelette. Every meal was delicious. Coffee was good, iced tea was good and the service was fantastic! Be sure to get on the "wait list" on the website. Chorizo and fresh avocado...I will say its on two tostadas instead of tortillas...but I loved every bite. The decor is also very pleasing. I would call it rural sheek?...no, modern ag...? maybe farm forward? I don't know but there are cast iron skillets and tractor chairs hanging on the wall. It immediately makes you recall your childhood on the farm...I mean...I didn't grow up on a farm, but if I did...I'm sure this place would make me remember it. They even made me a to go cup of coffee. All in all...you have to check this place out. But if you've read my recent reviews and know how much I love the calculated tips at the bottom of the receipt...they do not have that. I want to like this restaurant more than I do. I have ate at the one in Wilmington and now this one. Both times it has been extremely average. I love their fresh concept and they seem like a really great company to work for but the food is not that great. The best thing I ate today was the multigrain bread today. The healthy choice turkey omelet had a ton of huge onions, and the turkey was cubes. It tasted like a Armor Snack pack. The turkey sausage was just average, too. The girl with me said her French toast was delicious. She also said the bacon was perfect. We spent $40.00 for two breakfasts. Pricey for average food. read more
