Flies, Hair, & Bad Service - What could have been a great breakfast was not a good experience at all! While waiting on our food we noticed the abundance of flies in the restaurant as a server was swatting them away while taking an order from the table next to us. Upon the arrival of our food we discovered two hairs stuck to the pancake and plate of my breakfast. We called the sever back who apologized and removed the plate. A freshly prepared breakfast arrived once everyone at the table had finished eating. The server asked if I wanted my food boxed to go as everyone else was done eating. This was the only time the server ever returned to the table to check on us. We had to request to speak to a manger and waited 5 more minutes before he came to the table. Eating out is too expensive to not let others know about this poor restaurant performance. We have eaten at two other First Watch locations and had very pleasant experiences. - we won't be back to First Watch Riverside- we should have gone to Metro Diner!! We read more

I regret to inform you that my dining experience at your establishment was less than satisfactory. Although I understand the challenges that come with the new year rush, I was disappointed to find that our table had not been properly cleaned upon being seated. Despite their efforts to wipe it down, the surface remained unclean and lacked proper sanitation. Furthermore, the wait for our beverages, consisting of water and two cocktails, was unnecessarily long. To make matters worse, one of our orders was never placed, resulting in a prolonged waiting period while the rest of the table was being served. This added delay was quite frustrating. To address the issue of undercooked potatoes, I kindly informed our server about the matter. However, the response from the kitchen was subpar, as they simply recooked the potatoes, which led to them being visibly burnt and emitting a distinct burnt odor. Considering the extent of the aforementioned issues, I have no intention of revisiting your restaurant in the future. read more

We arrived just before the Saturday morning rush and were able to watch how flawlessly the staff worked together! The lobby could fill in a heartbeat, but was always cleared quickly and guests were served as quickly as we were when the place was virtually empty. The food was awesome, and pricing is fair. Fairly good restraunt always very fresh. They can get very busy during lunch times. But staff is very friendly even during busy time. Long wait times to get a table and after we were seated we sat for about 10 minutes without even getting coffee. We had to raise our hand and ask for it. She also never came over to refill them. I ordered a special they had and it was so gross. Not sure what leftover crap they threw on the plate but we were not impressed. Definitely won't return.

We were in the area due to Ernie's eye surgery. So, we came here for breakfast this morning. The…read morefood was very good and fresh. The coffee was delicious too. On our way out Ernie bought a Reese's cookie and he bought me a brownie square. The brownie was not that good. We've not tried the cookie yet. They're next door to the doctors office and Carolina Burgers. Pros: Nice people running the place. Great food and prices. Cons: brownie was not that good. Recommend: yes, I look forward to coming back soon. I love the Riverside area.

What a great yet unassuming little breakfast place! I had the Rise and Shine with grits and a…read morebiscuit, which are sort of the two things I will usually judge a breakfast place by, and both were served well. The grits were good and the biscuit was stand out amazing. For staff, we ordered at a counter and someone brought it out to us when it was ready. Both people were very friendly.
