Dined here before, but this visit was especially bad. Wait--long (30+ minutes). Service--friendly and attentive. Cleanliness--poor: Had to brush the crumbs off my bench before sitting down. They provide a water jug and glasses. 1st pour--glass smelled so strong of bleach, I discarded. Next pour (new glass), gnat floating in water. Final pour (new glass), noticed food stuck INSIDE the water jug. Food--Mixed reviews. We ordered "Market Hash," "Chile Chorizo Omelet," an "Elevated Egg Sandwich," a side of bacon and a couple of "The Works Omelets." It was evident that all the dishes were made of fresh, high quality ingredients. The egg dishes were served with thick cut bread (it was supposed to be toasted, but it was not toasty in temp or texture). We also ordered a pot of coffee--it was watery/weak. The omelets--all three--were delivered at room temperature (not close to hot). They were served with home fries- that were undercooked and not hot. The egg sandwich tasted okay, but needed some seasoning. It was also not hot. The Market Hash was absolutely delicious. Seasoned well, cooked to perfection, and served hot. Overall, my family's experience at Next Watch was poor. I did not complain to my server because we had already waited so long to eat that prolonging our meals for them to re-prepare hot/done food was not an option. We ate what we could and decided we wouldn't be back. I spent nearly $100 including the tip. read more

The first time I visited as a gluten free customer, I had a great waitress who was very knowledgeable and replaced the toast and fruit cup (I am also allergic to melon) with a nice green salad with oil and vinegar. It was so nice to have this option, since there are almost no gluten-free offerings on the menu. The last couple of times that I have visited, though, the waitresses have been less than friendly about my replacement request, telling me that "it is just a small ramekin of fruit", when I asked to replace the fruit and toast with a green salad. One even told me "they will only give you a very small amount of salad since it is only a little bit of fruit." Umm...okay? I am not trying for anything extra, I just had my first waitress offer to replace the toast and fruit with a salad that first time, but each time I have asked for it since then, it has been like I am asking for the moon. Sadly, I don't think I will return after today's visit, since the waitresses have been making me feel uncomfortable as a customer with food allergies. read more

I love First Watch and it's my favorite place to go for brunch but I extremely disappointed today. I ordered Egg Benedict BLT and the server brought out the dish without avocado (my favorite), so I nicely asked for it and she brought back what looked like a leftover about to go in trashcan. She even told me it was left outside that all, I can still eat it. You think it's okay to give your customers something like that. For real!? Would you eat that if you go in a restaurant and your food looks like that? There's even piece of something else not avocado in there! Other than that, that's not the amount of avocado I should have had for Egg Benedict. I ate here so many times and I know how much it should be. This was my first time trying this place and everything was wonderful from the service to the food! I ordered the Market Veg with coffee, and it comes as a whole pot which is nice. If you don't drink the whole pot they have to go cups and creamer. They also give you a carafe of water for the table so you don't have to keep asking for refills of water (which I hate having to do at restaurants). Instead of their regular toast I opted for Udi's gluten free toast (no additional charge) and it was pretty good! If my breakfast is a good representation of their food quality and taste, I definitely look forward to trying out their other menu items. read more

The parking lot to this restaurant is almost always full and I wanted to know what the commotion was about. I got here right around opening time and was seated immediately. The server was great and brought me coffee immediately. I liked the fact that there were a decent amount of vegetarian options available. The food came out quick and was hot. Went to first watch for the first time today. I bartend at a new restaurant in Kennesaw, so I try not to be too critical of new places because I understand the "new restaurant" thing.. My husband and I waited about 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, Hannah. All the other tables around us had been greeted, so we asked the guy who sat us, Andre, if he'd grab our server. My husband ordered the acapuco (spelling) omelet. I had a turkey omelet under their "healthy" options. The only issue was when telling our server what I wanted, she acted like she had no idea what it was. She even had to get next to me and look at the menu. That's not so much a sever issue as it is a training issue. It's imperative to make sure your employee can talk up your menu (or at least be somewhat knowledgable) when you open your doors. The food we had was super yummy, but Hannah never checked on us (so I guess it was a good thing we liked it..although we aren't picky anyways). My husband finally had to flag her down again because she kept avoiding our table and he needed more regular coffee creamer. I will say, Andre (the boy who sat us) came by and checked on us during our meal. He was awesome. Our check was dropped off and we weren't even halfway finished with our food. The only frustrating part about that is the fact that you pay up front, so it makes it seem like your server just doesn't want to have to deal with you anymore when they bring the check by before you're even done. Here are my suggestions: Food is really yummy which is why I gave this place three stars. It's a new restaurant and there are definitely links to work out, I totally get that. Make sure the staff is knowledgeable and eager about the menu and what they've tried and liked! Make sure the staff embodies TEAMWORK. I can't tell you how many servers walked by us (we were sitting right next to the kitchen) when we hadn't been greeted for 10 min and didn't say a thing. If a sever is exhibiting teamwork, tell them to grab a drink order even if it's not their table! Give the more seasoned servers a bigger section of tables and give the ones who can't handle it a section of 2-3 tables until they feel comfortable. It's better that they give those 2-3 tables a good experience rather than having 5 tables and not giving them great customer service. All in all aside from the little things, First Watch was still great. I will definitely be going back as I found a lot of interesting items on their menu that I would love to try. PS: Andre was at the door as we left and made it an effort to get our names and introduce himself. We will definitely request him when we go back, he was a really friendly face and was noticeably working really hard while we were there! read more

Very diverse menu! I usually go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast or brunch for their lighter choices...so I was super excited to see healthier options on First Watch's menu, and regular food items for anyone not watching their weight, calories etc. Their menu has WAY more variety than Cracker Barrel's by a long shot. I got the Egg White Turkey Omelette with a side of avocado. It was delicious and the avocado was very fresh! Our waiter was very attentive and customer service oriented. Food was beautiful in presentation, and we couldn't have been more satisfied. I will definitely be making this my new weekend brunch spot! This is my go-to breakfast place when I just need some time to gather myself on the weekends. It's close by and the servers are always so sweet to me. I sit by myself mostly, but I'll join the community table too when I see the place is full. COMMUNITY TABLE can be elbow room to eat, but it's ok. It makes you communicate and talk to people, enjoy a meal with the whole table instead of just alone, and it's located by a large window so lots of natural light comes in. MARKET HASH is probably my favorite dish to get here right now. It's light, not too filling, but has enough carbs in the dish. The potato hash is flavorful and seasoned well, and the eggs I always ask for a soft scramble. Comes with an English muffin with jam and butter, and also a small little cup of fruit. PARMA HASH is exactly the same as the market hash but has sausages in the mix. It's a much fuller dish and I like to share it when I order this dish. SMOKED SALMON EGGS BENEDICT I like the dish a lot but the eggs kill me. I've given them 2 chances, and both times my eggs were solid and not runny like a poached egg is supposed to me. Therefore, eggs benedict here get a thumbs down. The eggs are the most important part, and next time I'll point and out and send it back. COFFEE comes in a carafe so you can refill it yourself, which i love and there's always sugar and 3 different types of creamer. For being such a promising chain breakfast place, this one has really missed the mark. 1) The bathrooms are filthy and in need of a deep clean. They also don't have a baby changing station, so they just kind of expect you to change your baby on the floor of their very dirty bathrooms. Also... everyone knows that if the bathrooms are gross, the kitchen probably is also. 2) In recent months, they've struggled to find good and stable help. We waited for over an hour one time for our food. When the food finally showed up, my pancake was crispier than the toast. I didn't know you could burn a pancake, but they pulled it off. And at that point, you're starving and your kids are at the end of their patience level, so you just force yourself to deal with it and eat it. Besides... the server won't come back around to check on you until it's time to give you the bill anyways, so it's not like your getting a decent replacement any time soon. 3) They don't have a good meal option for French toast. You have to buy sides for it separately. That racks up your bill really fast. There's only one option on the menu that has this option but it only comes with a single piece of French toast... what gives?! Anyways, they do have some good things about them too. 1) For starters, a single pancake could wrap around half of your head. It's huge! And they have some pretty epic flavors too... when they don't burn it if course. 2) They leave the coffee pot on the table. Love that! There's never enough of the creamer you prefer, but that's just bad luck. They do provide a good assortment... I guess everyone else just wants the same French vanilla one as me. 3) they leave the water pitcher on the table as well, however it often tastes like it came out of a dog dish. They really need to install new filters... and they need coasters. The amount of water that piles up on the table is nerve wracking for a neat freak. You end up using the one single napkin they give you to soak up the condensation before it runs in your lap. You know... I'm gonna stop touching on this one so it doesn't move the bad section above. As an added suggestion to the company, put a basket or something on the table for us to throw our trash in. A party of four who drinks 2-3 cups of coffee each, will leave a mountain of little cups and sugar baggies. It gets messy at your table and the servers don't come running up to deal with it. read more

I ordered the Eggs Benedict which I was hoping would be a dream but it was only lukewarm which was odd since we were the first ones to be served for the day. Eggs lose their appeal when they get cold, at least for me. Server was polite but not around much although the place was fairly empty. This was my third time at First Watch, and it was very much worth the visit. Met two friends for lunch at 12:30 P.M. on a Wednesday. Place was very busy, so we waited ten minutes for a table. It did not bother us because we always do a "long lunch". Server, Lindsay, was courteous, and nice, and did her best to take care of us and her other tables. The restaurant was clean and the restroom was in a good shape as well. It took for a while to get our food, soup and a sandwiches. However, it was worth the wait. Roast Beef & Havarti Sandwich with Tomato Basil Soup were both awesome. My friends enjoyed their Broccoli Cheese Soups and sandwiches as well. We had the opportunity to observe other employees. Everyone seemed to work well together. No drama in spite of the lunch hour rush. Noise level was not too bad either, so we could catch up with our news. I did not have a good experience this visit. I arrived at about 9:45 AM on a Sunday & was seated right away. Sunday mornings get really busy but we beat the rush. However after 15 minutes of being ignored I went to the front to ask for service. About 5 minutes later the waitress came & took our order. I ordered french toast. Pricey I thought but ordered it anyway. It was very good, served with warm syrup. However, something was wrong because I spent the whole afternoon running to the bathroom! We went here yesterday for the first time in quite awhile.. food and service has always been good but in the past the serving sizes just did NOT seem to be adequate for the price but yesterday I noticed a considerable difference.. I get the same thing Everytime we have been there. Had a good meal and love the way they serve the water. It's a pour it yourself style that I really like. The blueberry pancake was delicious. I ordered a basic 2 egg breakfast with bacon. It was satisfactory. I was pretty hungry and told the waitress that when I asked her for a good menu item but the portions could have been slightly larger for 10 bucks. Maybe im just too hungry. My mom didn't like that they put olive oil on the avocado toast. You have to make sure when you order plain grits that you get the butter on the side if you don't want butter. Great friendly service.
