It still takes too long, last Sunday it took 20 minutes past the pick up time to get my food. Today against my better judgment I placed an online order and scheduled a pick up at 11:45, at noon I finally asked the hostess to check on my food and she came back and told me it would be at least another 10-15 minutes. I was very disappointed with the take-out I got from the First Watch in Kennesaw. I was so excited to find out there was one open by my parents because I regularly go to the locations in Phoenix, AZ. The restaurant was very busy, which wasn't surprising considering it was a Saturday. I showed up about 15 minutes later than the time that was given in the email, due to running some errands before. When I arrived, the employee at the host stand said my food wasn't ready, which was fine with me. I told him my time given was 15 minutes ago because I was not sure if the food was moved if it has been sitting for a while. However, he was very rude in tone and condescending when he told me that they were just busy and running behind. Turns out that it was sitting there and he just didn't see it! I ordered the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos. Upon opening them, they were not assembled at all and honestly looked like they had just been slopped in the take-out container. My boyfriend got the Million Dollar Bacon and Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl. He liked his meal better than I did, but it was nothing to write home about. I don't think I would go back, and I would recommend any of the brunch options in downtown Woodstock or downtown Acworth over First Watch. read more

Our friend told us this was an excellent breakfast place, so the husband and I stopped in around 9am on a weekday. It was bustling, but not packed, so we were seated immediately. They have the tables pre-set with coffee cups and glasses, but there were only two sets at our 4-top. They leave the coffee carafe at the table, and the table has the usual splenda packets along with a bunch of pre-packaged creamers (which, for a place that purports to be farm-fresh, etc. seemed a little odd). What was more annoying was that most of the creamers were of the flavored variety with added sugar, rather than just plain cream -- the husband had to ask for more of those at one point, undermining the utility of just having them out on the tables. Our server, despite assuring us that she would keep an eye out for our third person, took a while to come around and get her a coffee cup (we had all the necessary items except the cup, and there weren't any vacant tables nearby for me to grab one from). I'm not sure how long we waited for our food, but it was longer than seemed reasonable, given that they were not full. However, it was the food where I was very disappointed. I got the traditional breakfast -- scrambled eggs, sausage links, potatoes, and toast. When my plate was served, I was told the scrambled eggs would be out shortly. Someone then delivered what was announced as a side of scrambled eggs (which annoyed me -- they're part of my meal that was randomly separated) that were piping hot, but definitely under-cooked, to the point of being somewhat slimy. The waitress duly took them back and I started on the rest of my breakfast, which I rapidly realized had been served lukewarm at best, and was now quite cold. The second try on the eggs were again hot, but while more cooked, still kind of gross. I could tell from the separation of the egg whites that they scramble them in the pan, which contributes to the unevenness of cooking. When I informed the server that the rest of my meal had been barely warm, she suddenly become much more attentive and sent over a manager. He did his best, offering me a fresh plate, another item, or something to go, but here's the deal -- I ordered breakfast and waited for it (and again for eggs). I wanted it right the first time, not to wait some MORE for them to try it again. He comped it from our check and I had a few more bites and left hungry. So while I can tell that this is supposed to be a very nice establishment, I was extremely underwhelmed, as they failed to meet the expectations they set for themselves. Don't advertise cage-free eggs (that aren't cooked) or whole grain artisan toast (that's cold) -- call them eggs and toast, cook them properly, and serve them hot. I'm just relieved we didn't have to wait for a table prior to that train wreck. I would have done better at Waffle House. read more

My family and I used to love this breakfast spot. The last couple times we have been here the food was very average. 2 of the 4 meals were overcooked and items on the plates were cold. Additionally it took an hour to get our meals. Not sure if there has been a change in management or what but very disappointing. Hopefully it was a fluke and they will turn it around. Usually enjoy this restaurant as the food has always been fresh with healthy options. Just had avocado toast breakfast with scrambled eggs. They brought the toast with rotten, brown avocado. I have only sent back like two meals in my entire life. This was the second one. When they brought the replacement it was also brown rotten avocado. I did not send it back again, just didn't eat it. We used to frequent this establishment often many years ago when my daughter used to go to KSU, so when my daughter couldn't make it home last weekend for Mother's Day , we decided to meet up with her and my parents and celebrate yesterday while she was up in GA visiting from Florida (where she now resides. Ready to place my drink order for a mimosa , as soon as I sat down the server rushed off. When she came back again a little while later, she asked if we were still waiting on others, I said "yes they are pulling in now" , and ,again, started to give her my drink order, she was turning away! My daughter said " we'd like to go ahead and order drinks" to which she replied " oh I was going to wait til everyone was here" ( my daughter and I were ordering specialty drinks and my boys hot chocolates, so I knew this would take time to prepare , which is why I wanted to go ahead and place the order , knowing my parents would likely order something easy like coffee or iced tea ). The bottom line was , I know that everywhere is short staffed , but , and I speak as someone who worked in the food industry for 13 years , when you go to speak to your tables , don't show them the frazzled side of you, don't make it seem like it's an inconvenience to have to come wait on them and that you are ready to fly off to another table. She even made the comment that they were short staffed and she was getting yelled at by customers. I am a super patient, easy going customer and completely forgiving. The food and the visit with my beloved family was enjoyable. I would just definitely suggest to the server, take a deep breath before you step up to your table, and for the time that you are with them , just focus on them and try and not make them feel like they are troubling you by placing their order. An absolutely wonderful way to break the fast! A delightful restaurant filled with all the right sounds, smells and space to allow one to enjoy breakfast or lunch, not merely eat it. As calorie counter, I have to confess that First Watch created some stress for me on my first few visits, but I am pleased that are slowly but surely adding their menu items to My Fitness Pal. That one issue aside, it's hard for me to pick breakfast/lunch restaurant I enjoy more. The Greek omelette is amazing. It's so good I've had to force myself to branch out and try other dishes. I'm glad I did: all were a real treat. Access is convenient to I-75, as it's at the corner of Cherokee Street (Wade Green Rd) and Jiles Rd. Ample parking and seating. The waitstaff is friendly and fast. They made sure every visit was a good one. First Watch managers are also make the rounds and are quick to address issues as they may arise. This is my family's favorite spot for brunch. The place is clean, quiet, and service is great. The only thing is that the dining area is always very cold, so bring a sweater! Food is always on point, sometimes the potatoes could cook for a little longer (but that's just me). The green juice is amazing and coffee is also really good. I love the omelets there which is compliant with my low carb lifestyle. My husband LOVES their sausage. I'm not a sausage person but I'll take his word for it. read more

This is a fad place. If folks think this is oustanding for breakfast it HAS to depend on what they order. Their fried eggs are the size of the center of my palms and I'm a woman. My sister always orders the benedict and they NEVER get it right. She is always needing to send it back. My waffles always come out cold and when I send it back they reheat the one sent back. I do a little mark on it so I can tell. The wait staff is nice but most inattentive. Coffe pot gets empty and cold drinks are not kept up. It takes forever to pay the bill. The manager Jeremy feels he has to talk to every single customer and holds up the line. I cannot tell you how often I've seen eyes roll wanting him to hush it and get on with ringing up the customers. His job would be better served if he was made aware of how these dishes come out cold and have to be sent back and a nice apology or a small compensation be administered instead of not knowing what's going on and holding up the pay line. Last time we expressed nicely the problems there and it was ,"Oh I'm so sorry" with a smile and that's was it. I thought, "That's it!" Whew...... Bad business.... read more

My boyfriend had the Bacado omelette and loved his food as well. There was a bit of a wait, but considering how busy they were, I feel we were seated in a timely manner. The food and service here are great but this place is NOT for big groups (6+). We went the other day, I called ahead and was told multiple times they don't take reservations but that the wait wouldn't be longer than ten minutes. When we got there I was told they were busier than expected but the wait wouldn't be more than 20 min. We waited 25 minutes before asking what was going on. At that point, they said they didn't know when we could be seated. I offered for our party to be split up and we ended up at multiple tables ~35 minutes after we walked in. The host was great but the manager that day was kind of a jerk. It's fine to not take reservations but don't promise people a certain wait if you can't come anywhere close to that. read more
