I have been going here for a few years now and the food has always been good. The service has always been bad. They seem frantic even when slow and overall disorganized. This has progressively gotten worse. Today was the worst I've seen. We arrived at 11:30am, so early lunch, not busy. Everything was filthy. The floor was covered in food. Coffee cup had coffee grounds all over the rim. Glassware was dirty with chunks of previous food/liquid debris on them. The ceiling looks pretty gross as well. I heard 2 other tables complain during our visit. Server was not responsive, barely spoke, then handed us a check before we were halfway done. It's on their specials menu; which was just a bit salty due to the seasoned tortilla chips - but the stewed strip beef was delicious. Their Orange Juice has a fresh squeezed taste, and is premium! Popped in on a Sunday morning following a long trail run (I was hungry!). We got there around 930 and had no wait time. We were seated by the kitchen/restroom. While I wasn't excited about the seat, didn't complain and was rewarded with the sweetest server ever (Brittany). She delivered a carafe of coffee which was nice because I wouldn't have to wait on refills. I grabbed the veggie frittata and subbed in the taters for the side salad (it was a long run). In fairness to the restaurant, this review is based on this particular visit. All other visits I've had were between 4-5 stars. Potatoes were inedibly saltyyy, the over medium eggs had about 2 table spoons of runny clear liquid that gushed out when I cut the 2nd egg, it was a loooot, quite gross indeed. I've never seen anything like it and I've eaten eggs my whole life, both organic and non-organic. To top it, there was also half a strip of bacon buried under my potatoes. Thankfully, potatoes were salty that I didn't eat it accidentally. I'm not allergic to Pork products, I just can't tolerate it. I didn't think I should specify not to have it in my food since it wasn't part of my order in the first place. Server was also not very friendly, maybe because I asked for a new cup for my coffee since there was a fly lounging on it when we got seated. He didn't take our order when we got our drink even though we're ready, he looked around his area first, I'm assuming to see if anyone needed anything. We ate at the new one on Barrett Parkway. It's nice and open, roomy, and convenient To reach. However, my husband order His eggs over HARD. Apparently The cook(s) have no concept of what this means when cooking eggs. They came out with Runny centers. After sending them back The second time they came out With runny centers. I love they have this table! It's first come first seated and served. You get to dine with strangers, which I've always had a good time with. My go to is the elevated egg sandwich.
