First visit: Ordered the AM Superfoods Bowl and a coffee online for pick up. This dish is greatness! Chai seed pudding with bananas, berries, blackberry preserves and granola. Comes with fancy whole grain toast topped with almond butter and sea salt. Yum! Showed up about 5 minutes after the available pick up time. Saturday morning and the place is super packed, several patrons waiting to be seated. No sign of my food when I checked in so I was asked to wait. Ok, cool. 10 minutes pass (now 20 minutes past the original pickup time), no food. Annoyance creeps in and I check in for the 3rd time. Guy comes back empty handed, again. I can't deal. This dish should take no time to prepare..PREPARE, not even cook. While in my head I was having a whole temper tantrum, Cool as a cucumber on the outside. Then proceeded to let the guy know that I'd been waiting entirely too long for the dish I ordered and needed it right away. Surprisingly enough, he returned within a couple of minutes with my food. Do better. 2nd visit: Ordered the AM Superfoods Bowl online for pick up. This is clearly the favorite. Gave them extra time to prepare in case needed. Food is ready, pick up is no issue this time. Proceeded with the day and ran a couple of errands. When ready to eat the food, opened up one of the containers with a SAD FACE. In place of their fancy almond butter toast was soggy salad. *insert palm to head emoji* Wait what?! Soggy toast does not equal toast! Come on!! Decided to call and give them a chance to make this right. The person who answered said that they can make more toast and I can stop by and pick it up. The least they could've done is replace the order, for me having to drive miles back over there for THEIR mistake. Or if you're going to give me just toast, send it through Uber Eats. Something more should have been done. I'm not dining in your restaurant. I've taken time out of my day to drive to your establishment and patronize your business. If you plan on going for Brunch I highly recommend getting there early. This place gets beyond packed. We live in the area so we didn't mind the hour and a half wait. The food was worth it. If you like bacon I highly recommend the bacon it's drizzled with maple and omg to die for. I had to smack my husbands hand to protect my bacon lol. All in all a great vibe read more

I came here for breakfast and thanks to Yelp's waiting list feature...I was able to get here...check in with a hostess and be seated all within about 5 minutes...Yelp...you're such a help... Our waitress Christine was superb. She offered to bring out hot coffee even before my bum had warmed the chair up...that's when I knew I would this place....coffee before a warmed seat....now that's service... I got the turkey sausage gravy with potatoes and scrambled eggs. (3.75 stars) the gravy was okay, the potatoes were outstanding and the biscuit was soft and tender. I also got the kale tonic which is a blend of kale, cucumbers, apples, lemon and cumin I believe... My eating companion got the breakfast tacos and wiped the plate clean so I'm guess they liked it.... I frequent First Watch... mainly for their avocado toast and morning sunrise juice that has oranges, turmeric, lemon, and beet juice, but for the ambiance as well. The patio was nice and cool today so we ate outside and the food was DELICIOUS. Today I got the Veggie Burger with the multigrain bread to make it vegan with a side of fruit (I am sad that they don't have spicy mustard nor bbq sauce), and my friend got the delicious-looking Elevation Egg sandwich with avocado, arugula, eggs, and bacon with a side of their amazing roasted potatoes (I was envious). This restaurant is not the most vegan friendly, but the options they do have are legit. Their drink choices offer a variety from presses juices, herbal teas, to hot and iced coffees AND their portions are decent sized. Over the course of some months, I have become a First Watch expert. It seems that no matter where in the south I find myself, if it's breakfast/brunch/lunch time and I am with family, I'm headed to the nearest First Watch. I will give it to FW: they're an awfully consistent chain. The only noticeable differences come down to service and wait time. But the dining room, menu and execution all tend to blend together. This is a good thing. When it comes to chains, consistency is key. My cousin and I stopped in midday on a Tuesday and I was happy to see the dining room wasn't busy. We were able to sit down immediately and get to ordering. Despite me *now* getting into an ordering routine at First Watch, I still take the time to go over the menu. You never know when a special is going to pop up. Something I enjoy about First Watch is its commitment to juice combos. As a juice aficionado, my mouth is always happy to try a new(ish) concoction. Since I came here in the spring, the Spring Clean juice was the star of the show. Granny Smith apple, celery, cucumber, lemon, and coconut water made for a refreshing taste of the season. The cucumber and celery dull the sour tartness of the apple and lemon, allowing the coconut water to make everything go down smoothly. At $4, it's a touch overpriced but that's to be expected. For my entree, I stuck with the tried & true: the sweet honey pecan salad without the toast so that it's gluten-free. The salad is a very generous portion of mixed greens, romaine, chicken, bacon, toasted pecans, avocado, tomatoes, carrots with cheddar and jack cheese. The honey dijon dressing ties everything together. It's warm and, when topped and mixed into the salad, provides a comforting bite that satisfies in warm and cold weather. As you can tell, this isn't my first time ordering it. There aren't a ton of gluten-free options but there are more than a couple (the bowls comes to mind). The salad offers, in my opinion, the best bang for the buck which is why it's my go to. I'm sure there are more breakfasts in the south with family members to come. When they occur, I'm also sure that I'll be at a First Watch. I'm perfectly fine with that. read more

Sometimes you just need to go to a place that does breakfast/brunch well. Too long has the exception to other crappy overused breakfast joints like Flying Biscuit and J Christopher's. Where the food is blah and service is worse. What a breath of fresh air. Head on over to Kennesaw off of Wade Green, you'll find this straightforward prevalent structure on the corner and it's what's inside that counts. We showed up at around 830 before the Saturday breakfast rush. Managed to get a good table with fresh coffee. I am going to have to warn you, it's on the pricier side. I always pride myself in finding good eats that is worth the value even it means it's a little more of a dig into my pocket for $$$. We were reading the menu and specials is where I hit off two of my items at. The first was a fairly large bowl of butternut squash soup. Very nice but a bit too sweet. Almost too much honey. Thickness was perfect and it was HOT... Then we turn to our breakfast items, the frittata is a funny one to anticipate. Ya M.L. ever know how it's going to turn out, I've seen places do the omelette bit where it's all mixed in and fired over the burner, I've seen some places build the frittata in a systemic building block thing. First the eggs then the fillings when the eggs aren't totally set yet and finished off with a cheese. (my preferred route) This place took the first described route. And it was great, the touch of herbed cream cheese and the arugula was a good balance out to the egg dish. My SO ordered the Eggs Benedict, hollandaise sauce was a killer! Good job folks. The side of home fries were on the right track but we would have liked it to be crispier. Now let's talk about the million dollar bacon.... This is supposed to be reminiscent of my crack bacon. Cooked with sugar and a touch of a Special seasoning. While it was good I'm going to go on a limb here. Mine is by far better. I usually put some secret spices on it to kick it up a notch. Or two... I really enjoyed reading the menu and trying to decide what to eat because there was so much to taste. I'm already looking forward to the next time I come here. One of thee worst places to come to for breakfast. We unfortunately came here on a Saturday and everyone practically walked in and got seated before us as they put their names on a waiting list online. Gee, if they advertised that then I would have done that instead. So, after a 50 minute wait to sit down in the restaurant, it was another 40 minute wait to actually eat anything. Our waitress was super sweet. I believe she is from like Ethiopia or something like that. She totally deserves a raise. Anyway, the waffles were doughy (undercooked) and I had egg shells in my eggs. I do like food at first watch but the service at the Kennesaw location for take out is the worst. I had a terrible experience a few months ago and ever since have gone to the Barrett pky location however today I did an online order for pickup at Cherokee st and when I arrived and standing there waiting for the hostess to even acknowledge me, I told her I had a pick up order. There were two packed orders sitting on the shelf she asked my name and proceeded to check the orders. I was told my order wasn't ready but they were working on a few in the back. I waited 10 more minutes and two more orders came out from the back and were placed on the shelf. Both of these orders had drinks so I knew they were not mine. I finally walked past her to take a closer look at the shelf to see my order sitting there. I told her this was my order and she looked at it and saw the name which they had cut the last letter off (part of their register output Baron was listed as Baron-order number) she looked at me and said ohhh Baron! You would think that the hostess would have asked for clarification of my name knowing their system would truncate it or ask for my first name or something vs saying it wasn't ready. I was meeting my colleague before we got in grind mode with work. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess upon walking in. As she seated us, she asked us what we would like to drink and brought them shortly thereafter. It turns out that she ended up being our server as well. Her name was Zoey and she was probably the best server I have had in quite some time! She was personable, gave good eye contact, paid attention to detail, and even brought out items we normally have to ask other servers for (extra napkins and more than two lemons for the water) My only negative regarding the restaurant, is the fact that they have gotten a B- on their last two health inspections. I've been here several times now and I've always found that the menu was full of creativity, but the execution is always lacking. For a place I can get so incredibly crowded and is kind of expensive for what it is oh, I am probably done coming here. One of the pictures I added was a breakfast bibimbap with grains. It's a great idea and it had some great flavor to it. But it was way too much sauce and the sauce was way too much in terms of flavor. The last time I went was a couple days ago and I got an omelette with potatoes and toast. The omelette barely had any goat cheese in it and was supposed to have fresh herbs. Instead of fresh herbs they instead added raw kale. It's not supposed to be there, they didn't mention it, and the fact that it was raw was disgusting. Some of the vegetables in the filling were also a little cold. They have good ideas, but until they can get it right I don't think I'll be back. They have many locations (Duluth, Dunwoody, Kennesaw). I was actually surprised that there was a 25 min wait. The Kennesaw location offers coffee while u wait in the lobby. While waiting I glanced at the menu and to my surprise, this place offers a variety of healthy choice breakfast. I ordered the Egg Sandwich which was actually sooo yummy. Our server this morning was Emily. She greeted us with a friendly smile. I particularly enjoyed her service because she was knowledgeable with the menu and her service was fast and impeccable. While First Watch is a great brunch place for friends, it can be very difficult to find a table for more than 4 people and the wait for anyone is usually too long. My go-to order here is the plain multigrain pancakes and the million dollar bacon. The bacon is different than bacon anywhere else, but still not really worth $1.25 per piece. The food all tastes great but doesn't always come out hot.. or warm. They have great "healthy" options but the prices just aren't worth the whole experience. 3/5 because it is tasty, but not amazing enough to go multiple times. read more

I had this same dish at a First Watch in Florida. Florida was a lot better than this location. The salmon was ungood to say the least the hollandaise sauce was the best thing. We loved this place for breakfast! The parking lot is large enough to find parking although it will fill up. The outside of the restaurant is pleasing as well as the inside decor is a perfect farmhouse atmosphere fir breakfast! Get there a little before you are starving because like any good breakfast spot, it gets very busy. It took us about 20-30 minutes on Sunday morning to get a table; which was expected. If a breakfast place isn't busy, I get worried that there is a reason no one is there! The service was great and they are staffed up nicely. The food came out in good timing and was absolutely fantastic! We had the avocado toast to share, it was piled thick with avocado and tasted great on the perfectly toasted bread! It came with eggs that were cooked to perfection as well. I had the French toast which came with strawberry jam that set it off! Just had a horrible experience at this location! Yes, they're crowded, and I give Grace to waitresses when it's crowded. But 75 minutes in the restaurant and all the tables around us got served meals and we're still sitting there with an empty table. Asked the waitress to check on our meal, she said yes I will. 10 minutes later. still no breakfast. I had to go to the front and ask for the manager to get it resolved. He explained they lost her ticket. Isn't this the waitresses job to know and realize that we've been sitting there so long that she should have checked herself?
