My food was wonderful. Just made my tummy feel good. Our server was such a sweet gal and very attentive. The restaurant was very popular that day. We had to wait quite a while even though I was on the waitlist, but my friend and I were anxious to enjoy our breakfast. Our little table had nice upholstered chairs, which I like because they're more comfortable than the wood chairs. I had the Floridian French toast and it was so delicious ! The little cup with blueberry sauce was delightful. The million dollar bacon was such a treat. I knew I couldn't eat it, but I ordered the blueberry cornbread to go. First time at this location and the review is not as good as all my visits to other locations. First I was greeted by Seth with a big friendly smile. Randy was my server and he is a great server and very personable. I ordered the Traditional Breakfast with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fresh fruit and dry sourdough toast. The eggs arrived cool and dried out. I suspect they sat for awhile before being served. I know you guys can do better. The bacon arrived cool but it was crispy. The fresh fruit didn't look or taste very fresh. Visually the spots and discoloration was unappealing. I tasted a couple pieces and the fruit was over ripe. I enjoyed the sourdough toast with jelly. I ordered online because I had a coupon for a free meal and it was super easy to place the order and use the coupon. The only thing that was a little confusing was when ordering pancakes, we couldn't figure out how to choose 2 of the same flavor, so we ended up with 2 different flavor pancakes...can't go wrong with chocolate chips and pumpkin in the fall though! Oh man, do I love this place! One of my favorite things is that the food is made with healthy ingredients (there's actually food in the food). I'm normally there right when they open for breakfast, but today I met a friend for lunch at 11:30. The place was PACKED. Nevertheless, the very friendly host seated us quickly, and we got great service from a very friendly waitress. The coffee was outstanding ... as usual. And I love that they bring me a whole carafe of decaf. Love that! I saw someone order the Floridian French Toast last time I was at a FW, and swore I'd try it next time. But I'm usually healthier than that, so I was wavering today. When the waitress found out, she suggested that I get the Trifecta, and upcharge the pancake to the specialty french toast. That way I'd get some healthy protein and a single slice of the french toast (with all the fruit), instead of 3 slices. Perfect! And it was absolutely delicious. The only problem is that I wanted to order a 2nd one. Well, that, and (as you can no doubt tell from the picture), the turkey sausage was small and not very aesthetically pleasing. Tasted good though. Anyway, I appreciated her helpful suggestion, and was glad I took her up on it. Another thing... We visited First Watch in Kirkwood on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We arrived at 9am and were immediately seated. As we progressed through breakfast, though, it did get extremely busy and there was quite a wait by the time we were leaving. The food was simple but we were very impressed with it. It is a standard American fare type of menu but still tasty. I ordered the Smoked Salmon and Roasted Vegetable Frittata and was very happy with my selection The chive cream drizzle on the top definitely made the entire dish. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was consistent with other diners - nothing out of the ordinary or outstanding, but consistent and delicious nonetheless. I also ordered the Honey Caramel Crunch Iced Coffee and loved this drink! It was very sweet so if you don't like your coffee sweet, I would stay away from this. She only came around once and that was after she was flagged down by my friend but the food was very mediocre / bad. I ordered the Bacado omelette and my friend ordered the trifecta. First the avocado in my omelette was covered in rotting spots and of course it was the avocado in the inside and not the singular slice on the top of my omelette... it also didn't have cheese in it like it was suppose to. Superfoods Bowl which consists of chia pudding made with coconut milk and topped with berries, banana and granola. Both were very good, great tasting and the server was friendly and quick, especially given that they were busy in a Saturday morning. The issue was their cleaning/dishwasher. We found a dirty butter knife, all 3 water glasses and the water bottle had bits of dried food stuck on them. Gross. Our server replaced everything and said they just got a new dishwasher that wasn't working very well. I came here after a great workout on Saturday and it was exactly what I needed! My mom got here around 930, and she waited for about 15 minutes for the table (which is way less than I was expecting- it's always packed on the weekends). By the time I got there, my mom was seated with our family friend. I was attended to quickly, and ordered a cold brew. I always love how they bring water to the table so we can serve ourselves. I feel like those little touches can make a restaurant experience great. Our server was amazing- so friendly and full of energy. She made our breakfast experience awesome. I decided to go the protein heavy route and get the healthy turkey omelette: egg whites, turkey breast, spinach, roasted onions, tomatoes, feta. It also came with toast (which I didn't eat) bc I wanted a pancake. I ordered a plain pancake (I'm traditional) as well. The omelette was super good- I loved the turkey breast is came with. It was really flavorful and really made the omelette filling. The feta was a nice touch as well. The pancake, by no surprise, was delicious! Fluffy and bigger than my face. It was a nice balance to my protein omelette :) My mom got one of the seasonal juices and it was incredible! Went on a Friday morning and they were surprisingly very busy. The host checking people in was obviously overwhelmed. There was a waitlist but people weren't being seated accordingly, so when I mentioned several people that checked in after me had been seated the host was very rude My waiter was kind and the food came out quickly. Unfortunately my potatoes were mostly burnt. The biscuits and gravy weren't great but weren't bad either. Was hoping for a bit more flavor. My drink was probably the best thing I had. I've heard great things about the restaurant in general so I'm thinking I'll try a different location next time read more

It's been 10+ years since my last review of this, First Watch. So it definitely is time for an update. Since that first reviewed visit, I have been here numerous times and I can say it has consistently been good. FW is a little pricey compared your other typical breakfast restaurants, but the quality of food is well worth the price. Here there seems to be a lot more healthier choices to select from. I just wish they all offered alcohol, like the new location on Brentwood. My visit today was to kill time while Murphy was at the day spa getting groomed. First thing I noticed when I entered, was that they had spaced the tables out to make sure they were social distancing all their guest. Another thing I noticed when seated was my table tent advertising, Crab & Avocado Toast. Being a fan of Avocado Toast and loving crab meat, it was a no-brainer on what to order. In addition to the toast, I added a side of their infamous Million Dollar Bacon. These two light and refreshing breakfast dishes paired with a cup of black coffee, made for a perfect breakfast. The avocado was smooth with little chunks of avocado and topped with shredded crab meat that was garnished with pickled red onion. I may have been enjoying it for breakfast, but it very easily could be a perfect lunch, too. Don't worry, The Million Dollar Bacon doesn't cost a million dollars. It only cost $5.49, but it seems like it is worth a million. It's 4 perfectly prepared slices of their signature hardwood smoked bacon. It is baked with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and drizzled with maple syrup. You'll have sticky fingers, but they'll be finger licking good. I've never had bad service here. The staff is always pleasant and friendly. My server today was quite charming. I also appreciated all the precautions they had in place during this everlasting pandemic. So many options at First Watch! They have a good selection of healthier items, traditional, and some unique takes on breakfast dishes. I enjoyed the Parma Hash. It's a lot of food, much more than I would normally eat for breakfast. I also got a side of Million Dollar Bacon. Yeah...that's worth the trip! A reasonably close to my home location of First Watch but for some reason, I rarely think about coming here. This is only my second visit but both times have been fantabulous! I came in solo both times as my usual dining routine in the daytime goes. For breakfast today, I had the healthy turkey - egg white omelette with turkey, spinach, roasted onion, tomatoes and feta cheese. Yum! Need I say more?! The roasted onions gave the omelette a hint of sweet, caramelized flavor that complimented the savory feta. The plate also came with wheat toast and preserves, and 3 generous tomato slices. I loved how their sliced tomatoes were not overly ripe. It was firm and tasty. I'm generally not a fan of tomatoes due to my personal texture sensitivity issue but I ate 2 slices. Service and coffee were both great as usual. I do wish they bring you some water right away instead of waiting for you to ask. It seems like such a small thing but can be such a difference maker. Always a solid choice! Their lunch special is filling and reasonably priced. Soup and hot melted sandwiches are a solid choice on a chilly fall day. It can get a little loud and crowded in there. The layout of this one creates a line right up against the backs of the chairs where people are eating thus creating the scenario to keep getting brushed with people's bags etc while they are in line to pay. Our service is always pleasant and the food doesn't usually take very long and is served hot, not your greasy spoon breakfast, which is nice. Healthy options with calories posted on everything- which is awesome!!! My husband's roast beef and horseradish was also delicious- enjoyed the horseradish sauce even though I would always prefer the horseradish ratio to be much higher being from the horseradish capital of the U.S. Always a solid choice for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. read more

Usually good to great is our experience. This visit for me, it was good, pancake, grits and eggs, basic and food. For my wife, she ordered a Gf dish and pico and sour cream were left out of the dish and this was discovered after the first order came out wrong with regular bread and no eggs. Again, usually the waitstaff is great. The waitress has not come by to check on us.. They will comp the meal (after saying we feel that they should. cover it), but still items in the dish were missing. The ladies bathroom was bad with poop in the wrong places..... oh boy. That will kill a restaurant faster than anything... When we came in the windows all had drawn curtains and was dark. We were told that the guests with cataracts don't like the light coming in....really? That's a first for us! Later, another waitress was great and told us the curtains were closed due to heat. It was a cooler day. She also explained how they were earlier slammed and Doordash gets in to delay the food from coming out faster. I think the Manager may wish to find another occupation.... Or, maybe just a super bad day. Looks like lots of staff. Maybe corporate can assist with further training for this store. We have always found Creve Coeur to be the best of the stores. So, go there when you can. I don't know what to tell you about this location... maybe you will find it on a better day. Maybe it's time for Egg Harbor to come to STL.... Albert needs a bit of additional training and a little more customer service. No apology from either the waitress or the manager during our visit. Breakfast places are growing in numbers around town. I met a friend I hadn't seen for a while here, and we had a great breakfast. This is a great location, with a really homey feel. We felt very cozy, eating and drinking many cups of coffee. We kept watch to make sure we weren't hogging a table, but there was never a line, so we spent several hours here. The best thing was that not only didn't the server or others try to get us moving, they were regularly refilling our drinks and checking in on us, in a kind way. Might not have been the case if it had been busier, but it really made us feel welcome. And yes, our tip covered the whole time we were sitting there. read more

Daughter's request after coming home from college (Thanksgiving break) was brunch at this restaurant, so we went on a Wednesday around noon. Not too crowded, so we were seated promptly and waitress took our order as soon as she could. Daughter ordered Farmhouse hash; good except avocados had brown spots, and "fresh" fruit cup that came with it had mushy (on verge of rotten) grapes. I ordered chicken salad melt but requested no cheese on top, and potatoes instead of mixed greens. Interesting experience with knife & fork to eat the tomato-topped chicken salad on 1 piece of toast. I'm used to eating chicken salad either as a closed (2 bread) sandwich, or by the spoon/scoop on crackers or pita. If I ever order this again I'll request another toast so I can make a closed sandwich. read more

Walked in at 9:50. We asked for a table for 2, and they replied that the wait would be forty to forty-five minutes. We were eager to try First Watch, so we accepted the wait and sat outside for about 50 minutes before our table was ready. I wasn't expecting much since we were eating at a chain restaurant, but I was proved wrong the second I took a bite of the food we ordered. I ordered a waffle with bacon and eggs. The presentation was on point, with garnish on the eggs and powdered sugar sprinkled on the waffles. Along with the food, I also ordered the "Purple Haze" drink. It had a strong lemonade-like taste with lovely hints of lavender. The presentation of the drink was very nice as it had purple on the top that faded into a light pink. The food tasted wonderful. The waffle was light and fluffy and had hints of vanilla and butter. It kept me wanting to eat more and more of it. The eggs were okay. They were cooked to perfection, but needed more of a unique flavor to them. The bacon had a similar problem to the eggs, but were still great. Overall, I feel that First Watch is a wonderful place to have a fulfilling breakfast. Even though the wait may be long, I feel it is worth the wait due to the wonderful food they provide. read more

I had already included a 5 on the tip even though service was crap for her time. Manager came up apologized - you know the standard BS line manager give. After this - The server followed me & my mother and to our car & said have a great day & don't ever come back here. At this point I went back in the restaurant to find the manager "TJ" and this woman started screaming in my face again & threw her apron down & stormed off. She crossed a line by following us outside to our car. The district manager called & sent comp cards & took it very seriously. The manager confirmed all I told him. With that said I hade give out of my way to Manchester & Ballas, but I absolutely will not give this location a penny.
