Usually with brunch we would do the bottomless mimosas and all but because I was driving I decided not to participate in that. And usually I would get chicken and waffles but I was in the mood for a burger. So I thought because their name is "Mad Cow" the burger would be the bomb...but nope it was not good at all. So I prefer a beef burger cooked medium with blue cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onions. When I burger got tot the table it was dry as a board. No blue cheese that I paid extra for and the burger was not cooked correctly it was cooked well done. Smdh. So the waiter brought me my blue cheese apologized about it and also gave me a mayo bottle. Even with the burger still was not good and the patty was so thick with no flavor not even salt and pepper was in it!! I tried their punch drink which was really good but for $15 a pop in a regular water glass was ridiculous. Make sure you don't get too tipsy as they already have like a 20% gratuity added on each of our checks no matter how small or big your group is which again is ridiculous! Will I come back...maybe only because I would like to try some Jamaican food they offer. But for brunch...it's a no for me!

Today, I gave them another shot because Uber Eats was offering a buy one, get one free deal on the jerk chicken meal. I chose rice & peas with plantain for my sides. The chicken was cooked on the grill--which I love--because it really brings out the flavor in jerk chicken. I also requested my jerk sauce on the side since I prefer a dry rub style over a saucy one. The only drawback was the small bone pieces in the chicken and rice. That's something to be cautious about, especially if a child is eating the meal. The plantains were also inconsistent--some pieces were hard, while others were mushy. On the bright side, the coco bread was perfect and the Jamaican rum cake was phenomenal. Whoever baked that cake clearly took their time soaking it in rum. It reminded me of the way my grandmother used to make it--absolutely delicious. I would definitely order the rum cake again.

The presentation wasn't very good as it was just thrown on a plate and not really well presented to me. It tasted good it was very sweet but it was good. One of the things that reduced the star was both the presentation and the fact that the syrup that was presented to me in the cup had a layer of film over it and when I went to pour it over my French toast it wouldn't pour until I pierced the film covering the syrup. The eggs over medium and the well done bacon that I ordered came out perfectly and were very good. It was starting to get busy when I was ready to leave and it took a little longer for my server to bring my check and also then pick it up. All in all it was a good meal, and I will be back but I will try something else the next time I come in. I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Hype I had high hopes for First Watch, but my visit was a complete letdown. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and everything on the plate was bland and uninspired. The eggs were tasteless, the bread was cold and not even toasted, and the Hollandaise sauce was flavorless--no salt, no richness, just dull. The potatoes were just as disappointing: absolutely no seasoning, no onion, no herbs--nothing. It honestly felt like they dumped a bag from the fridge onto the flattop without a second thought. Even the side salad was straight out of a container, tossed onto the plate without a single drop of dressing or garnish. First Watch of Laurel delivered a great breakfast experience! I wasn't sure what to expect at first, only one server was working, and about eight tables were seated. But to my surprise, Kathy, the server, was phenomenal. She handled every table with efficiency, professionalism, and a great attitude. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Kathy truly held the dining area down and made sure everyone was well taken care of. That's what I call A1 customer service! First Watch continues to be my favorite spot for breakfast. My only complaint is the children's breakfast meal had cheese in the eggs, which is not listed on the menu and my dairy sensitivite child s was half way thru before I realized it. At exactly 3 PM, I experienced firsthand just how unacceptably rude the manager is. The behavior was so egregious that even our waitress was visibly taken aback by the interaction. As the director of culinary business training , where we dedicate our time to training the next generation of culinary and hospitality apprentices, I am absolutely appalled. We teach our incoming food prep workers and cooks that leadership sets the standard for the entire house. The standard set by management here is disgraceful. I have my receipt from this visit, but I will not be returning.

The club sandwich was huge, tasty and everything you should expect from a club sandwich. My only complaint is that it was a little on the plain side. Definitely needed a sprinkle of salt and pepper to help bring out the flavor. The chicken cheese steak was very flavorful, and a good size as well. The beef vegetable soup tasted homemade, and was packed with veggies(not just mostly broth like most other restaurants). It also could have benefited from a little of salt, pepper, and an acid like tomatoes. The French fries were fantastic, but also needed salt. I'm assuming the cooks at the deli do not add salt because they figure the customers will add it themselves. All in all, I really enjoy Pi's Deli, and will definitely order from them again sooner than later.

It was around lunchtime and my stomach was growling. So, this is located across the street. I went online and ordered a BLT sandwich. The sandwich was ok, but I think they went a bit overboard with the tomatoes and lettuce. It was just on toasted bread and was overwhelmed with lettuce and tomatoes. At least the bacon was fresh and not pre-cooked. So that was a plus. other than that, I probably wouldn't purchase that again, but I hear they have very good breakfast meals. So, three stars is what it was worth to me.

I ordered the two eggs, a meat, potatoes & toast breakfast special with a cup of coffee. The meal was about $12 which was not a bad deal. The food was pretty good and is made fresh on the spot. The two older ladies that were working were pretty nice, but all about business. While I would not go out of my way to grab something from Champion Grill, I definitely would return for an early morning breakfast if I'm in the area.
