Great place for breakfast. I have never had a bad meal here. I love their Millionaire's Bacon. So sweet and peppery. A perfect combination of flavors. My favorite dish is their Eggs Benedict although I love their parma skillet has too. And if you are a fan of avocado - definitely try the avocado toast on their delicious multi grain toast. Their kale tonic is tasty and refreshing. My kale smoothies don't usually taste as good. I love that they leave a pot of coffee and a jar of water at the table. Staff is usually friendly and attentive. The wait is isn't fun. It always seems to be crowded and even though I got in line with the Yelp app we still had a considerable wait. I am so excited that First Watch opened up 2 minutes from my job. If you've never had it, you need to try it. I usually get the avocado toast (thick sliced toast with lemony avocado and a fried egg) but this time around I did the elevated egg sandwich- SO good. I got it without mayo or cheese and it was still delicious. Also you can't really go wrong with anything that includes a brioche bun. We actually had to order a second child's meal bc my child was still hungry, and she's a very light eater. Our waiter never came back to our table once our food came, didn't ask if we wanted refills, our plates (which we piled and placed to the side) were still on our table even when we finally left. He never even gave us our check, we had to request it up front. And we were there during their normal hours we weren't the last tables, they were still open a few hours. I've only gotten take out from here a few times before and my experiences were always spotty. I'm writing today because it might be my last time ordering from here. I ordered the farmhouse hash. Looks good but doesnt taste as good. Super super salty I couldn't even finish half of it. I ordered my eggs over medium but were so dippy that that the yolk was runny over my entire meal before I could take my first bite. Gross! Also, the avocados in my order were old and brown. I wanted to call in to let them how I felt but the last time I did that when I wasn't satisfied, they only apologized and didn't offer to fix my order. We had a really nice breakfast this morning as a family of four. Right after we sat down, a black couple came and sat next to us-Normally I wouldn't comment on this but it's important for the review. They had to ASK to be served three times. I finally asked the woman dropping off our food to help this couple. She took their order and never came back. Finally the couple got up and left without ever being served. The manager was contacted with no resolve. A few minutes later a white couple was seated at the same table. We timed it. Two minutes and the white couple had full service. This is embarrassing to witness and somewhere I am not likely to return regardless of our nice meal. read more

This place was great. My family and I were staying at an Airbnb in nearby Newtown square and made breakfast at home every morning (because so much of the trip was foodie oriented) and finally ate here on our last day. It was so yummy and fresh! I had the oatmeal, plain but it was just what I wanted and needed after days and days of fried food. They topped it with strawberries, pecans and banana and give you the most adorbale little container of milk and brown sugar to add in, if you please. It was a delicious bowl of oatmeal and more than filling. They pair it with a muffin, which I took home. Kids had the enormous chocolate pancakes, which they loved and raved about. My sister, who was having the hardest time finding food for herself, simply because she's on a ketogenic diet right now, was very pleased. She got the ancient grains bowl here and was just so so pleased to find something yummy and healthy, finally! And the fresh squeezed OJ was oh so delicious. What a cute little spot! To say this was a disappointment is an understatement. I ordered avocado toast with eggs. The avocado was brown and very overripe. We also got the million dollar bacon which was over cooked, I like it that way my daughter did not. Our food was dropped off at our table with no silverware or napkins. The waitress was no where to be found. We had to ask another waitress for silverware while our food was getting cold. Our waitress finally stopped by and by then we where ready to leave. She asked if I wanted a box and I said no and explained about the avocado being over ripe and she asked if she could get me something else. I said no, because we had to leave and I couldn't wait. So I basically paid for a meal that I didn't eat. she never offered to take it off the bill. She also forgot my daughters drink and when she eventually came to our table we had to remind her.
