Coffee is always fresh and quick, but it's difficult to get a really good cup of hot tea in most places, including First Watch. Huge fan of First Watch. I think my favorite is the classic eggs Benedict with the greens and lemon vinaigrette. This was another good experience. Food was great. My only recommendation is that the eggs Benedict is put on a separate plate from the greens. Sorry, but I don't love my lemony greens to get warm or covered in egg yolk or hollandaise. Overall, happy with the quality and price. Our service was pretty good too. They were relatively busy and our wait wasn't too bad. Will definitely come back! read more

Delicious brunch with stellar service! There are many health-conscious options, as well as a kids' menu. The atmosphere is generic and noisy, but the menu is anything but! Even on the busiest days, our wait time has been less than 20 minutes. Once you're seated, service is quick and ultra-friendly, and food orders arrive promptly. Bottomless coffee is a big plus. Pricing is a bit high for brunch, but portions are generous. Seating is a bit odd - their booths are so big that as average-sized people we had to sit on the edge of our seats to reach the table. The food is usually pretty decent but that isn't the problem. Maybe it isn't their fault, but the wait is always way too crazy. I don't think I've ever gone to First Watch while the wait was under an hour. Very small lobby, very little seating read more

Great place for breakfast. Their lemon ricotta pancakes are the in the city & I've tried them all over the "Lou"!! We consider it our little neighborhood gem. Friendly, fast service & best part is they'll also make off menu items (within reason). I just can't say enough good things about first watch!!! read more

Not good today. Has been good other times. Toast when butter doesn't melt, cold toast is bummer, over cooked eggs to hard is bummer, replaced by eggs so under cooked the whites are actually clear (raw?) Undercooked bacon, cold French toast. Bowl of fruit is always good here. read more

Awful, awful, awful......came for lunch a little after 1 o'clock. Felt very rushed to order, asked for salad dressing on the side, the salad came out with dressing on it. The waitress did not to the table once to check on us or offer refills. This experience was made worse by having to wait for someone to come to the register to pay. This isn't how to treat paying customers....I will never come back, too many other places that appreciate customers. read more

They're good for breakfast and lunch. I was a bit surprised they didn't have any gluten free bread, as most restaurants do nowadays, especially one open for breakfast. I actually visited here twice on a recent visit to STL. I had the traditional breakfast one morning and they were happy to sub some fruit for the toast. The eggs were served exactly as I ordered, over medium, not runny and not stiff. I'm a picky egg eater lol! My second breakfast I ordered the breakfast tacos on the corn tortillas. They were tasty. I will say they did fall apart on me though so I would maybe suggest using two tortillas per taco, like Mexican restaurants do, to keep them from falling apart. Their coffee is really good, the food comes out quickly and the service is attentive. read more

Came here for breakfast before my family went back home and everything was good. The hash brown was a little salty but everything was great.

Excellent place to eat. Went there first time with large church group for breakfast and was blown away. Just the right size to keep down the noise level even when at capacity and provide a relaxing pampered service. The staff is genuinely courteous and the food makes me feel like Gordon Ramsey might be hiding in the back. Very reasonably priced for the experience and literally something for everyone on the menu. My daughter took me here while I was visiting. I had the avocado toast and a hydrating juice. Everything looked and tasted great.

Not bad. The menu is a bit limiting for someone with food allergies such as myself, however the traditional breakfast was right up my alley and our server was very kind by replacing something I couldn't have with additional bacon, which he said he normally doesn't do.
