    Avocado Toast

Horrible Avocado Toast Experience I honestly don't know what First Watch was thinking when they handed me this box and called it avocado toast. What I got looked like someone scooped half-mashed avocado from the trash, plopped it onto a sad piece of bread, and sprinkled disappointment on top. The bread was soggy, the avocado looked gray and lifeless, and it was all tossed into the container like an afterthought. For the price they charge, this is insulting. I could've made a better version blindfolded with a half-rotten avocado from the back of my fridge. If this is what First Watch considers quality, then they seriously need to reevaluate their standards. Save your money and go anywhere else this was a total letdown.

We had the best service while eating brunch here. We had a group of 10 and everyone was pleased with the food and seating arrangement.

We visit at least once a year when Osage Beach. The food is terrific and we always get amazing service. My only complaint is that the a/c temp made it feel like we were in a walk-in freezer. Next time I will bring a sweater. My bacado omelet was delicious and my hubby loved his Belgian waffle.

Went with my in-laws and two small children. Food was great. Kids loved their food. Big portion and great taste on our food. Service was ok, the server forgot my father-in-law's juice. After reminding her, she brought it over. FIL didn't like there were too much onion and mushroom on his food. Egg Benedict, steak hash and Belgian waffle were good.

All star service! Ambiance is cozy. Juices are amazing. The French toast was burnt on one side. The breakfast potatoes are not browned and crispy. Grits are settled and solid. Breakfast tacos were tasty!

We stopped at First Watch for lunch. We had the best service - our waiter was very friendly and speedy. We got our food right away. I thoroughly enjoyed the tomato basil soup with ham & cheese. It was also a very generous portion. We will definitely be back!

First Watch is a favorite of mine for breakfast and the Osage Beach location was definitely up to par. It's a beautiful modern restaurant with elevated breakfast choices. I had the BLT eggs Benedict. It was delicious and the egg perfectly poached. The lemon dressed greens on top are a perfect addition. My mom had The Works omelette, which was full of ingredients and she really enjoyed it. Service was super friendly and quick. Highly recommended!

We went for brunch, arrived around 11am, they had a 10 minute wait which was not bad at all! However after being sorted at 11:11 the food came at 1205! Eggs were messed up, my husband ordered over easy and got a sunny side up, I ordered scramble and they gave me fried hard eggs chopped! Potatoes were undercooked but overall food was good but not for the waiting time ! Would I come back ? Probably not because there many other options, would I recommend? Yes , because even though our experience sucked , food deserves a second chance lol The "million dollar bacon " wasn't bad but is very sweet!

A solid place to stop by!…read more We came during an extended weekend trip for lunch, drinks, and the pool. We were seated pretty quickly but this place DOES fill up fast (that includes the pool). The front has a place to order different t shirts from the wall then there's a small indoor seating area and a lot of patio seating outside. We ordered the jumbo crab rangoons, jalapeno poppers, and club sandwich. Although there was a bit of a wait the food was good and had good portion sizes which helps if you're there day drinking. Our waitress was friendly and helpful although a bit on the slower side with checking in and bringing items we requested. We waited about 20 minutes to get boxes and our checks. If you walk down the stairs from the restaurant there's the gated pool area. As it was summer it was packed even on a weekday. There's bars and bathrooms right next to the pool as well as a swim up bar. This was helpful since we had to get out to order drinks we at least didn't have to go far. Although it was a nice vibe I didn't enjoy that it felt like a hot tub especially in the summer and while drinking. In knowing a large amount of ppl come for the pool I would've hoped they cooled the water down & circulated the water better. Additionally a bit of added staff or security would be helpful to ensure ppl aren't getting ridiculous. I saw someone passed out in a chair from drinking too much and someone else falling over into the chairs unable to walk because of how intoxicated they were. Ofc we're all adults and should be able to control our drinking but ppl prove that theory wrong every time. It caused a bit of an issue with ppl & their stuff being trampled by ppl too drunk to walk and no staff around to help. For those who don't know the added another add on to the location off to the right side of the property. This includes a stage for performances which is cool! Although there isn't a restaurant like there is at the main pool there are food trucks which is a cool concept to get different types of food. Overall will be back to check out the other side.

Experiences have always had up-and-down moments, but this time was disappointing because I really wanted it to be great. It just wasn't. The Good: The restaurant itself is gorgeous, and the waterfront ambiance is spot on. It's clearly the place to be at the lake--so good job on the venue. The Service & Atmosphere: Service was adequate, but far from fine dining. If you're charging premium prices, the service model needs to match. Having random runners drop food at the table without knowing who ordered what is diner or casual Mexican restaurant service, not an elegant dining experience. The new manager stopped by twice--a nice touch, until we actually provided constructive feedback. Instead of offering a remedy, he offered excuses about being new and didn't handle criticism well. The Food: Apps (Deviled Eggs & Tuna): Both looked like they'd been plated earlier in the day--they had an unappetizing "sheen" to them that made them look leftover rather than fresh. The flavor on the eggs was completely muted, and the tuna was equally lusterless. Salads: We split the Caesar, and our friends had the wedge. They were served without any offer of fresh pepper. When we flagged down a staff member, they brought out cheap grocery-store salt and pepper grinders. Later, we were told the new chef prefers not to offer pepper on the table. With all due respect to the chef: that's the guest's choice, not yours. (Side note: the wedge was tasty, but oddly wasn't actually cut into a wedge). Mains: The ladies had the Sea Bass--the dish that originally put this place on the map. It was okay, but not as good as it used to be; the new Asian flair and bowl presentation take away from what used to make it the star of the show. The pork chop was good and thoroughly enjoyed. My lasagna had a great portion size and good base flavor, but it was dry as jerky with practically zero sauce. The Verdict: The restaurant will continue to thrive simply because of its location and the lack of competing fine-dining options on the water. But when you're dropping $500 on dinner, you expect accountability and an outstanding meal. We won't be back anytime soon.

Our favorite are the original trashed wings. They are spicy, but with ranch the flavor and crispyness hits the spot. My favorite thing is the ribbies and wings. For $17 you get 4 ribs and 5 wings. It was the perfect amount of food for me and a steal for ribs and wings. I tried the chipotle BBQ and I also loved this flavor. Still spicy, but not as firey as the original. We also ordered some onion rings for an appetizer. They are thick! I am more of a fan of thinner onion rings, but these were still good and I loved the sauce. It was decently busy when we went, but our service was just okay. Our server took a little bit to take our order and bring us the check which we understood since it was busy, but there were larger parties that got sat after us, that were in and out before we were. I decided to get a smoked salmon wrap with a side salad and bacon wrapped prawns. For $17.99 I do have to say those five little prawns weren't worth it. It's crazy how overpriced those are to be honest. The smoked salmon wrap was really good, but felt like it was missing something. I believe I read they smoked the salmon in house... which is awesome! But it was definitely lacking some pizzazz. One of these days I'll have to go back and try some of the barbecued foods... or the smoked turkey, which also sounds really good. I sat at the bar and service was super fast and friendly. Inside was western themed, and the place had a lot of people in it, was loud and busy, so I know it's worth giving it another try.

The upper level has a more upscale feel, with a beautiful dining room and an incredible covered outdoor space complete with a stage for live music. The massive windows and stunning views overlooking the peninsula make it the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy the evening. As for the food... wow. I had the crab legs, which were cooked perfectly, but can we talk about the green beans for a minute? They were ridiculously good. If licking the bowl in public wasn't frowned upon, I might have considered it. Colin ordered the salmon, which was absolutely beautiful and served with rice pilaf. Chris went with the crab-crusted walleye, and it was cooked to perfection. Emma Grace chose the giant pretzel, and giant is an understatement, it was the size of a dinner plate! It came with an assortment of charcuterie-style accompaniments that were fantastic all on their own. Then came dessert, and somehow things got even better. The bread pudding was hands-down one of the best I've ever had. I don't eat bread pudding often, but this one may have ruined all future bread puddings for me. We also shared the cheesecake and cookie skillet, and every bite was delicious. To top it all off, our waitress Makayla was absolutely wonderful and made the entire experience even better. Great food, beautiful views, amazing service, and a fantastic atmosphere. Encore knocked it out of the park. We'll definitely be making a return trip next summer!
