First watch offers everything anybody could ask for! They offer a nice juice bar if you are not in the mood for something to eat. They have healthy options for people on diets, which is great for me! They also offer great food like the Belgian waffles or the Traditional Breakfast. It features eggs, potatoes, a choice of sausage or bacon, and whole wheat toast with jelly. The staff there is experienced even though that it has recently opened. The interior is close to what a Panera Bread looks like. It provides a sense of comfort just like home! This is certainly the place for someone to have brunch if they're in the neighborhood! read more

Had to clean my own greasy chair off after waiting 60 minutes. Lesson? We had a good meal. Our sever was friendly, but was always stopping to check his phone before he went inside...we were seated outside. Loved the outdoor seating but inside seemed humid and the decor was , blah. We have frequented the Cranberry location as well as Virginia and Indy. This is the worst ambiance. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. This was my first time here and I ordered the Healthy Turkey. It was phenomenal. My server was equally amazing. Super popular brunch places that don't take reservations make me NUTS. However, the food at First Watch is so amazing, it's worth the frustration. My absolutely favorite dish is the lemon pancakes, but those are reserved for days when I don't care about life expectancy (don't ever look up the calorie content). First Watch also offers a great Lighter Side if that's more your speed. A personal favorite is the Tri-Athlete omelette. Not only is it delicious and filling, but it makes me feel like an Olympian just for ordering it. First Watch also offers a bevy of pretty cool beverages, only a couple of which I have tried. Someday I swear I will delve more into their robust menu, but when you find things you love it's hard to deviate. Though First Watch is a chain, everything feels homemade and I really couldn't love it more; that is, unless they accepted reservations. Service can sometimes be spotty so remember to set aside a good chunk of time for your visit. Enjoy! read more

It's about time I wrote a review on this place. I'm not sure what took me so long. LOVE IT. Me and my husband ALWAYS go out for breakfast on Sunday morning since we started dating. Every single week. This place has become our Sunday tradition because it's so good. And this is coming from people that go to breakfast A LOT. I think for about 6 months now we haven't gone anywhere else. First things first, they have really good coffee. I'm not a coffee snob or anything but this is just very tasty. Their breakfasts are awesome, I always get either the breakfast tacos or the Chickichanga. This is the only place I've ever been that uses chicken in some breakfast meals. Why isn't that ingredient used more? Hubby usually gets one of those or an omelet and they're SO good. They have this energy drink of blended fruits and veggies called Day Glow that we love. And to top it all off, you can use the NoWait app to reserve a spot in line from home then just show and be seated even when it's super crowded. I LOVE IT!! read more

First, we did not like the food. My turkey burger was hardly a burger. It had a thickness of a patty, too crispy and greasy. Tomato basil soup tasted like it was made from a tomato paste. Chocolate chip pancake was too dry and unexpectedly crispy. Seasonal pumpkin soup was pretty good though. Second, we did not like the service. Our waiter was very rude and inattentive. He ignored our requests and forgot our drinks completely. I gave it one star for a free coffee at the entrance, as well as an appealing interior. We will not return! This was our first visit to a First Watch and it was delicious! It was a Saturday morning and very busy, but we were seated quickly. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My husband had the "Traditional" and devoured it all. I ordered one chocolate chip pancake that was light and fluffy, the "Millionaire's bacon" that was sweet and spicy, and a small fruit cup, which while fresh and sweet, was a little pricy at $3.99 for the tiny ramekin in which it came. Overall though we enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back! read more

Went to the McCandless Crossing location on Sunday for breakfast. Very nice addition to the North Hills. This is my first time ever at a First Watch. Never even heard of it before. The new restaurant is open and the decor welcoming. We had to wait about a half hour for a table, but the hostess and everyone were very nice. It being my first time I wasn't prepared to order, but on someone's advice I ordered the Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl. What is Quinoa? I had no idea at the time and still really don't, but it doesn't have much flavor. I had to dump some hot sauce on it to spice it up. My brother eats healthier than myself really likes the Pesto Chicken Power Bowl. I'll definitely return and try to be more prepared. read more

My first time here with my girlfriends. The menu is full of tasty selections. I ordered the market veggie sandwich which came with soup or fresh greens. I opted for the soup of the day, which was Italian wedding. We all had different selections and all agreed that the food and service was excellent. wierd but delish juices get things rolling. cucumber with carrot and apple or tumeric with ginger and grapefruit-- you never know what's on board that day. lemon ricotta pancakes are the bomb. downside is this place is always crowded and the seating is not only tight but uncomfortable. overall a keeper though. read more

This was the worst breakfast I have ever had. Like, ever. For starters, the restaurant was working with a "No Wait" app, which in actuality, makes everyone wait longer and the harried staff at a loss to explain the complexities of such a redundant system. After waiting for twenty minutes unsure whether it would be another five or twenty five minutes until we were seated, my girlfriend and I waited patiently watching the host tirelessly explain this ridiculous app and how it was causing seating times to be in limbo to each new patron entering the establishment. It was only five minutes, cool. We chose our orders, I picked the special, which was Pumpkin pancakes with eggs and some fancy breakfast sausage. Seemed like everything perfect for a fall brunch. The food arrived after almost another twenty minutes of waiting and it was the most pitiful display of pancakes, eggs, and sausage that I have ever seen. My cat would have done better. The thin pancake was completely burned on the bottom, so much so that it was barely able to be cut; it would have been better used as a frisbee than served to humanity as food. The eggs, ordered scrambled, were a dry, gross looking yellow mess and the sausage, which came late, had obviously been flash cooked and thrown onto its serving plate so sloppily that it actually made me feel sad. The cook, because anyone who let that nonsense leave the kitchen should never be considered a chef, had no care for the food's preparation or presentation, at all. What a waste of good ingredients. What a waste of time. The server offered the menu to me instead of offering to fix it, which I found to be insanity. I have never sent a plate back in my life, and I have also worked in many kitchens, so please believe me when I say it, this place is a mess and way overcharges for the product that arrives. Go support a dying Mom & Pop operation somewhere, do not give this business any of your time or money. read more

We came in for brunch as a party of 4 on a Sunday. My husband and I had been here many times before and enjoyed it, and thought it would be a good choice for Sunday brunch for the two of us and my son and his girlfriend. I don't know what was going on, but it was definitely an off day in the kitchen. Our server was good, but the food took F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get to us...I bet we waited close to an hour. But we were seated outside on a pleasant day and enjoying each other's company, so we didn't complain. When the food finally did come, only three of us were served (all except my husband). The server told my husband his food would be right up. The kids didn't complain, so I can only assume their food was OK. But mine was not. I had ordered scrambled egg, sausage, and pancake, and it was cold. The egg was warmish, the pancake was cold (as in room temperature) and the sausage was COLD cold (as in right out of the refrigerator cold!). Even though it was cold, mine was tasty so I ate it without complaint and so as not to taint our nice day. But still, no sign of my husband's meal. Several minutes later, the server told my husband that there was a problem in the kitchen, and that his meal had to be remade. 10 minutes later, his food finally arrived, after the rest of us had finished ours. This was definitely different from all our previous experiences there, but I've kind of lost confidence in this place. I'm not sure we'll be going back. After a loss in the family, my sister and I were staying across the street from this spot at the Home2 Suites and ended up eating here practically every morning. We started out going to Totin's, but the portions were out of control and the food was too greasy. We both live in Los Angeles, which is a breakfast/brunch haven, and First Watch would definitely hold its own in La La Land. We were able to get a table very easily on weekday mornings and on the weekend you can get on the waitlist ahead of arrival through Yelp. The wait can be long on the weekend, so I highly recommend using the Yelp waitlist function. Once you're checked in, you can watch your progress on the app as well. Throughout our residency eating here six days in a row, we fell in love with the Market Skillet Hash, the Elevated Egg Sandwich, and the Chickichanga. All of the food is super fresh and the breakfast potatoes are yummy. We also really liked all of our servers - friendly and attentive. We will be back when we're in town for the holidays! read more
