So did brunch today and had a bizarre interaction with Jennifer our waitress. After ordering we waited almost 30 min for our food. My 2 strips of bacon were under cooked and cold. Jennifer took the bacon off my plate and went back to the kitchen. When she returned to say my bacon would be out soon, I asked if they didn't have any cooked bacon to bring out. Jennifer said, "Well we have to cook it. I don't know what you want me to do." She left all upset and then totaly ditched our table never to return. Not my first visit but definitely my last. I ordered Classic Eggs Benedict. It was served on cold bread, with cold sliced ham, cold tomato and underdone eggs. If there was any hollandaise sauce it was well hidden. The potatoes were done well and warm so the server was not at fault. I was hungry so I managed to eat half of the serving. The server asked how I liked the meal and I told her it was cold. She offered to provide another serving but I declined. The cashier did not ask how I liked the meal. The food and service at this location has completely fallen off. First I had to ask our server for silverware. I ordered the avocado toast with scrambled eggs. My eggs were cold and barely resembled anything scrambled. The bacon was burnt and inedible. The only thing worth eating was my Grandson's Bananas Foster French Toast. While I was being stuck up at the register for $42.00, a young man had to ask the cashier for service because they had been waiting for 30 minutes. Very disappointing. read more

I've been disappointed 2 out of 2 now since they opened. *WARNING- EMAIL coupons not accepted here. * My first visit, which was on a Sunday morning had several bumps. I gave them a pass since they had recently opened and naturally there were some kinks to work out. I didn't mind the long wait, that's to be expected if you go somewhere for brunch on a Sunday- duh. But after we were seated it took about 25 minutes for someone to greet us. And another 50minutes for food after that. Half the order was wrong, the server forgot a few items on top of that. I got a side salad without any dressing, the dressing is typically very good but plain mixed greens not so delicious. So we cancelled the redo, we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for that. When cashing out they couldn't figure out how to void or comp or even just split it off of our bill, so plenty of operational things to work through. But I Love first watch, big fan of the all the ones I've been to in Florida as well as Glenwood. I figure Glenwood gets crazy and we always have great and fast service, they are just finding their footing! Go back this morning, had very good service, the restaurant was quite. The food was good, alright this is the first watch I'm expecting. Earlier this week I got a "$2 Off coupon" via email from them. I saw the same printed coupon on a business card at my gym down the street. The cashier tried to scan it, doesn't work, goes to talk to a manger and tells me "sorry this is a corporate coupon and we are a franchise store". Ok- that doesn't totally make sense, you are an extension of the corporate franchise so you should also offer it- but okay. What definitely doesn't make sense is that the gym in the neighborhood also has a printed version of the same coupon so I feel like you should have DEFINITELY honored it because why would they advertise something false. This place is a gem! Had a breakfast meeting with a client here. The food and coffee was amazing! LORI gave great suggestions, and gave me a sample of the kale apple smoothie to try. I don't even like kale and I love this juice! The restaurant was impeccably clean, the servers and wait staff were professional and friendly.. Elizabeth was my server, and she was attentive without being pushy. My favorite kind of server to have. I got the avocado toast for breakfast and it was a perfect blend of delicious and healthy. Ordered four breakfasts online, the night before. It was NOT possible to order kids pancake on line so I called the restaurant at 7am and asked if it could all be ready TOGETHER at 7:45am. The restaurant agreed and explained we would need to pay for the kids pancake at the point of food pickup. Arrived to restaurant at 7:40am on a Sunday morning. Not many people around. Paid for the kids pancake and waited and waited and waited. My husband recently had partial knee replacement surgery. It was very painful for him to wait - standing up - inside the store until the food was actually cooked and packed up and ready to go at 8am. Our lesson was "be prepared to STAND and wait for your food that it is ordered TO GO...the night before...from a restaurant that is open at 7am". It was raining hard outside. We did not have an option of trying to get the food brought to our car. The restaurant assumed we would just stand and wait and wait and wait. This restaurant would be more "friendly" if there were numbered spots and customer could wait for food to be brought to the car...and if there was feedback about needing to wait longer than the requested 7:45am for the food to be ready (at 8am?? no feedback on this topic...just told to wait). read more

This is my second time at first watch, only ever been to this location. I really want to love it here. I love the atmosphere and the decor. I got the breakfast sandwich last time which was fantastic. This time I got the blt eggs Benedict which was Good. I didn't love the hollondaise though. The service has been great both time, and this time we got a place in line using the app which worked great. Unfortunately both times my boyfriend has been with me he has gotten over easy eggs and neither time have they been over easy. They've been a very well done over medium almost over hard. Everyone knows people are very specific about how their eggs are cooked, and as a breakfast/brunch restaurant cooking eggs should be made perfect to order every single time. I have waitressed breakfast for over 10 years and it is one of the main things that keeps costumers returning, their perfectly cooked egg. I'll most likely give this place a third try and hopefully the eggs will be cooked to order. read more

Had breakfast here after a good workout and I didnt have to sacrifice my days worth of calories to get a fantastic, nutritious and guilt free meal. I like that they have a large selection of healthy options versus just a few to chose from. The food was very tasty and seasoned just enough. I had the Tri-athelete egg-white omelette which was delicious. I stole a bite of my daughters chocolate chip pancake that was huge and it was amazingly sinful. The service was fantastic. Our waitress was so naturally friendly and attentive, but not smothering or over the top. The place was packed for obvious reasons. I loved the fact that you could help yourself to coffee before you were seated. Not a good fist impression. Upon being seated, the first thing I noticed was a footprint on the menu. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes, which were good, but I was a little disappointed in the syrup. I would think that a high end breakfast establishment would at least serve maple syrup and not maple flavored corn syrup. The same can be said for the million dollar bacon, the menu states maple syrup drizzle but it wasn't maple syrup. My wife had the eggs benedict. I was excited to try this place as I have recently discovered a love for quinoa! I was visiting family in NC and we stumbled upon this place so I was eager to try. Even more exciting was their website says they will be opening one soon close to my hometown in Daytona Beach. My first recommendation is to sign up for their sun e-club at least the day before you decide to go and they will send you a buy one get one free coupon. I was glad we did this as I was let down by several things and happy to have not paid full price. First, it was confusing as to wether or not we were to seat ourselves or wait as we were not greeted at the door. After being seated at a booth of our choosing, the waitress approached and asked if we wanted coffee. No, hello or my name is, just coffee? She returned and took our order, my mom the frittata rustica, me the power breakfast quinoa bowl. The decor was beautiful, temperature freezing inside. I would recommend the frittata, disappointed with the quinoa. Our waitress brought us the wrong bill and then after dropping off the right one never returned. In fact a different waitress stopped and asked if we needed more water. Nonetheless, I am willing to give the Daytona one a chance, perhaps for their lunch menu instead. read more

I was there earlier today & had a really bad experience. I was welcomed right away and seated inside at which point my server immediately came up to me & asked what they could get me. At this point I hadn't even touched my menu. I said a water would be great for now & that I needed a minute to see what I wanted. She came back not even a min later with the water & I still hadn't had a second to look at the menu. I asked for a few more minutes which she responded no problem I'll be back in a few minutes. Well I decided what I wanted and weighted. Another couple got seated & ordered & received their meal before my server had even come back over. I eventually flagged down their server & asked if I could order with her since my waitress was no where to be found. At this point I had probably sat there for at least 10-15 min without service. The new waitress was extremely nice & apologetic about me not being served. I ordered the works omelette with no bread & no sour cream with the salad. I watched her write down my order. It comes out with bread. I'm celiac I can't eat bread so I had to have them make me a fresh meal. It takes another 5 or so minutes to come out. It now has no bread but sour cream on it. I ended up just using my napkin & smearing the sour cream off my omelette. I double checked her ticket and she had written both on there saying no bread & no sour cream the kitchen messed up. This being said... As someone who works in the industry this annoys the ever loving crud out of me. Not only did I sit there with no service for over 10 minutes. But you messed up my food twice! Is this how you choose to run your business, shameful. I was there at no later than 1:15 and left after 2pm it should not take that long to get food. I get that we are in COVID times but this is utterly ridiculous. read more
