BEWARE!!!! Several weeks ago my wife and I recently visited this establishment with another couple. After our meal we asked that the check be split evenly between us as we often do. Our half of the bill was approximately $40. We were given the bill and as they require, you are asked to pay as you leave. Accordingly we both took our bills to the POS system at the front door to pay. As with all POS systems today they provided tip choices on the screen to choose from. This is where the deception takes place, Their system is programmed to provide tip choices (on their screen) that are based not on my half of the bill but on the full amount of the bill ($80+). Additionally you are given no reference to the amount of my portion of the bill anywhere on the screen to trigger a question. So as most people would, you trust the company and the computer would be providing a correct calculation of tip based on my portion at the bill at the different levels, (15% 20% 25%) and pick a tipping level. However it does not. They were in effect, providing tip choices that were twice the amount a customer would believe they were proportionally tipping. This is a very deceptive practice that is designed to take advantage of their customers trust. I immediately reached out to First Watch corporate via email expressing my concern and they sent a nice response telling me they would be contacting me but I haven't heard anything to date. I will be visiting other First Watch locations to determine us this is a franchise wide practice. If so I will be reaching out to the FCC, the BBB and any agency that is concerned with consumer fraud. to notify them of this deceptive behavior. read more

Brunch at First Watch - A Whole Vibe! Y'all, let me tell you about our experience at First Watch! From the moment we walked in, Kareem greeted us with a smile. At first, we thought he was just seating us--turns out, he was our waiter too! Talk about a double blessing. First things first--he brought us coffee, but we politely declined. No worries, Kareem kept the good vibes rolling with his Southern hospitality (even though he's from New York ). He checked in about 3-4 times before we finally figured out what we wanted--patient king energy! Now, the food: Chicken & Eggs Tacos - So flavorful, we had to pause and appreciate the moment. I really enjoyed my first time at First Watch. Fresh ingredients, great personable service and lots to choose from on the menu. They even had a seasonal summertime menu for a few more offerings. The food tasted great and not overly expensive, although you do pay for a big portion. I was satisfied by the end, and all of my friends were right about this chain being the best! I want to go back again! As a side note, I overheard the table next to us found part of an egg shell or other item in their food. The waitress brought it back to the kitchen and showed the cook, then showed the manager, and eventually came back to the table and offered the patron a free side of any choosing. I've dined here now twice for late breakfast and have really enjoyed the quality of the menu items. The omelette platters have been excellent and I enjoy the fresh juice. I appreciate that First Watch offers a plethora of healthier options. I've ordered the smoked salmon omelette & morning vegetable platter. The omelette was delicious. Lots of fresh veggies. The chicken sausage patties are my favorite as well. My favorite juice being the Kale tonic with cucumber and Fuji apple. The food is very filling and deliciously whole. We had dropped a car off for service just up the street and stopped by for breakfast on a weekday. It was not crowded at all. Our server was friendly and helpful. The extremely overpriced coffee was good. Both hubby and I ordered a rendition of eggs Benedict. The food came out super slow ! Especially since it wasn't busy. I was fine with that. We weren't in a hurry. When the eggs finally did get served to us, they were lukewarm. What a disappointment. We pondered sending them back but it took so long the first time ..........the plate looked very nice. It was not tasty. Bland. I love this place! Honestly was surprised when I learned it's a chain. We visited this location several times for a Sunday brunch and never was disappointed with food or service. Today, just as always, check in person greeted us with a smile, our waitress was amazing and funny, and cashiers were very pleasant as well. Food is great, just check out pictures! Salmon frittata is what I had today and it was just the right size and delicious. Greens can be substituted for breakfast potatoes if you're into that. I'd also recommend multigrain pancakes, they're so good! Just keep in mind that the place gets super busy and wait can be long, so it's better to reserve your spot online or using the app. read more

My partner and I came here for brunch Saturday morning and let me tell you, it was delicious! Great portion sizes, prices, and customer service. I also love how greatly sourced their ingredients are. It was super crowded, but they sat and served us quickly. I decided to get the morning meditation ($5.50) since it looked really pretty. Not only did it look pretty but it tasted delicious w/ hints of turmeric, lemon, ginger, citrus, and beet juice. For food, I got the farmhouse skillet ($11.50) and it was sooo good! Came here a few weeks ago after a yoga class. I've been to many First Watch but this this was my first time at this location. My review will be more about our server. She was a bright light on a cold saturday. Her saying "I got you" throughout our stay was just a piece of her amazing personality she shared with us. She gave great food recommendations and drinks. Her hospitality was top notch. I don't remember the young lady name but I hope management knows who I am talking about when they read this review. You have a great rockstar on your team. I ordered the Florentine french toast and we shared the million dollar bacon!!!! Seriously sooo good and the best bacon I've ever had. Has a nice kick to it. I've never been a big breakfast food kind of girl, but First Watch has changed my mind. Especially their Million Dollar Bacon!!!! I could eat ten plates of that bacon. It is THAT good. The servers at the Glenwood location are fantastic. Every one of them seem to stay on top of drink refills and make sure you are paced at your comfort level. They don't rush you and they anticipate your needs. The manager is great too. He interacts with the customers, and has a great pulse on things. I witnessed a woman and her daughter complaining (after they ate their entire meal) and it was evident they were simply trying to get a meal comped. The manager backed up his server bc she didn't do anything wrong! I even saw how attentive she was to this woman. The woman seemed fine all the way up until she had to pay. This location has always been packed whenever I've gone but the customer service is still top-notch! Recently enjoyed breakfast here with a friend and the service was very attentive. The First Watch menu always has something for somebody but the Benedict really knocks it out of the park. I've ordered to go from this location multiple times and the packaging is always perfect so items are still yummy by the time you get home. Parking is easy despite how busy they get. I've had the vegetable soup before which was tres Today I enjoyed the taste of Italy in the Italian wedding soup. A flavorful broth with petite sausage meatballs, orzo and spinach. It was perfect for cold winters day. This location is one of my favs its near shops as well as great parking. I do wish they had a fireplace inside like Panera or enter al fresco heated tent outside...ps if any managers read this please do open outdoor dining like Metro Diner or Relish just to name a few...now a firepit would work also. We called in and placed online orders at 11 am to be picked up at 11:30. There were 3 orders. The last order to be placed was ready before 11:30 (a hot meal). The 2nd order to be placed and ready arrived at 11:38 (also a hot meal) and the first order for be called in was not completed until 12 noon. They kept saying this is normal. That when a call in order is in the que it can be bumped for online orders and Uber/Grubhub orders. When we got the food back to the office the first order was missing the main ingredient and was ice cold. The second order's sandwich was ice cold and the fruit cup was bad (picture attached). The third order was good, however it did take an hour to get and was the last to be made. They did give $10.00 discount cards for the 1st and 2nd order. However with the lack of quality on the food, I am not sure we will be going back. They appeared very understaffed. It was very disappointing and expensive to get $13.00 worth of food and not enjoy any of it. read more

Great service and a lovely brunch today at First Watch. I chose one of the omelets with the green salad as that's about as close to a keto-friendly meal as I can get. I'll admit that I did eat one bite of their amazing bread. Omelet was light and fluffy and well stuffed with bacon and cheese. Very delicious. First Watch has a pretty quick wifi and so I sat with my laptop for a bit and guzzled down some more of their great coffee. In NC for a convention so a group of us went for breakfast. There was a short wait (about 10 min). Restaurant was clean and staff wore masks. Our waiter was nice and pleasant. We ordered a variety of food, mimosas and a Bloody Mary. All of the food was delicious and the drinks were good as well. We liked it so much we were hoping for another opportunity to eat there before leaving town. No such luck; however, I'll be looking one up in my area.
