    2018/05/11 yummy special

Great RTP lunch spot! A little out of the way but well worth the hunt. Amazing menu, daily specials, and a free cookie on Fridays!! Tip: Like most RTP places, this place gets very busy at the lunchtime. It's not a big place so get there early... no later than 11:45am if you want to be sure to get a table. OMG! I didn't even realize they were only open for three hours weekdays around lunch time! I wish they were open on the weekends.

I ordered the special which was the grilled chicken wrap with avocado, ranch dressing, provolone cheese and mango habanero. I had potato salad for my side and the kids ordered peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with fresh fruit. Prices are decent and the portion sizes are decent also. I probably should've went with another menu item.

Great sandwich shop! My coworker was raving about the fried Brie sandwich so I had to give it a try. It is a very good sandwich, although the fig spread on it gives it a very sweet kick. They have multiple items on their menu that I am looking forward to trying out. I also appreciate their variety of side options: fruit salad, potato salad, pasta salad or sea salt potato chips. Their free cookie Friday really is a special treat; the cookies are delicious. I got the white chocolate cranberry.

Very 1st visit today, and they got my sandwich order wrong. I ordered the Chicken Philly and instead got the REGULAR PHILLY cheese stake. I was upset at first, but didn't feel like going back and was not disappointing when I got home. very delicious sandwich!! Will try more of their menu next time (lots of healthy options as well) Parking was no problem, Customer service was pleasant, food was ready in about 10 mins. You can tell everything is fresh. Very clean. Will definitely come back!! I got the Philly cheese-stake, Potato salad, brownie, Side of butternut soup and a Sweet tea, all totaling around $15 Very full, will have the soup/brownie later on for dinner!

I ordered mine on pressed focaccia bread and everything from the juicy crispy chicken to the parmesan cheese and toppings was top notch. Each of the flavors and textures played so well together that it's hard to stop eating after taking the first bite. Came on a Monday around 1pm and there was no line. Inside the shop was a classic deli where you order at the counter and then browse the various goods/merch while you wait. Service was fast and the sandwiches came out within 5 minutes of ordering. There are a couple picnic tables outside to sit and eat but other than that, mostly a to-go place. First timers: get the Uncle Primo's, you won't regret it!

I got half an uncle primos chicken cutlet sandwich ($11). It was a lot of food and was loaded with chicken! Even just the half sandwich was too much for me to eat at once. While it was tasty, I did feel like it was missing something, and personally didn't find it to be worth the wait. But if the line were shorter in the future I'd come back and try other yummies from the menu.

This place is REALLY hard to find... it's behind the State Farm building, but there's barely any signage from the street. (Note: some photos here in Yelp seem to be from an older location.) We actually came one Saturday, but it was unexpectedly closed, but we caught them the following one, so good to call and confirm before driving over. You walk up to a door on the back, and scan a QR code to see the menu. Then knock on/ open the door and someone will come to take your order. Then you wait outside and they bring you your sandwiches. The lady who took our order was very friendly. The kitchen was rather large, so I suspect it's used for more than just this business. We ordered two turkey subs-- the East New York (which was slightly spicy) and the Dumbo. Wait time was maybe 7-10 minutes or so. Both sandwiches came nicely wrapped, and I think total cost was a little over $20. And conveniently, they take Apple Pay. These were not your Subway or Quiznos sandwiches-- these were DELICIOUS pressed sandwiches (we got them on focaccia. I personally liked the Dumbo the best-- it had a nice mix of flavors that meshed well. The East New York was solid and had a nice spiciness, but not quite as exciting overall. Would I come back? Probably, but since there's no seating, and it's a bit awkward, maybe not the first place I'd think to try, but again, the sandwiches were REALLY good. I do think it may be excellent for catering or for getting picnic sandwiches though.

First of all, the bread is soft and has a nice bite, holds the juices of a sandwich well and was fresh. I got the Cobble Hill sandwich and the turkey was really good. Also the size is amazing for the price. When you get there, it feels like you're in the wrong place or entering in the wrong way, but you're not. I asked if this was the sandwich spot and a young man took my order and made my sandwich within 5 min. And there is enough parking behind the State Farm building to pull up and get your sandwich I can't wait to go back and try the Italian and cheesesteak sandwiches.

"Sandwich shop just off University Dr in Durham"…read more Came here for an evening dinner with a friend. We arrived around 5:45pm, and there was ample parking, but I will say the place was HOPPING by the time we left at 6:30pm. The decor is very cute-- old-style, good seating and a bar area as well. You order at the table, and food comes to you. My dining mate got the Cypriot (Halloumi, Fig, Arugula, Tomato, Pesto) with a side of curly fries, and I wasn't very hungry so I got the Beyond Meat Chicken Tenders kids meal with a side salad. I also got a delicious bottled sparkling lemonade. Service was fine-- food comes after order, but you're mostly on your own once food is delivered, as expected. We got a couple of napkins with the food, but there are more self-serve up in the counter. Just don't expect someone to check on you or anything. The food was GREAT. My dining partner loved her sandwich (commented especially on the fig spread) and fries, and I really liked my meal as well. The side salad was surprisingly delicious, especially the addition of pickled red onion. The place was clean-- I went to the restroom, too, and everything was stocked well. Price was very fair. Overall, I'd happily come back. Easy, priced well, delicious. Not a place where you get a lot of "attention", but great for a simple meal.

Options for vegan diets that's still keeps essence of original sandwich which I appreciated (impossible chicken tenders for cutlets). Great space! Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. I discovered the garden this time around and enjoyed sitting out there for my meal. Came on a Saturday afternoon and it was not very busy. Ordered the mozzarella sticks and the chicken cutlet sandwich (regular). The sticks were amazing with the sauce! The SS which bread was so fresh and soft as was the chicken cutlet. I wish it had more sauce and a little salt pepper vinegar splash would have gone a long way. A good sandwich but the most amazing or most flavorful sandwich I've ever had. Can't stress how fresh everything tasted though and it was huge only ate half.

You'd try to shake him off and he would be super-velcro'ed onto your limb, hanging on for dear life with lust in his doggie heart... But I digress. So yeah, the Baguettaboutit food truck... Baguettaboutit is based out of Chapel Hill so it's not a frequent visitor to Raleigh. I chased it down to Cary Crossroads and stopped in for a quick lunch. The truck looks brand spankin' new, bright royal blue and they have paper bags out front to mark up your order. I ordered up the Jersey Turnpike, sausage with red pepper sauce which took about 5+ minutes. Along with a bag o' chips and drink, we're talking about $8.50 which isn't bad. The Baguettaboutit sandwich is a pretty thing. Flour-dusted baguette with a thick sausage end peeping out (Flopsy!). And it's a tasty lunch, high-quality meat and crusty French bread. The red pepper sauce was creamy and decently flavored. By the time you work your way to the end of the sandwich, we're talking 3 - 4 inches of crusty bread and sauce left over, but still yum. Don't think there were any napkins available at the truck which would help a bit. For a first visit I was definitely impressed, I'll have to work my way through the rest of their baguette specials, six in total. Baguettaboutit puts out a solid sandwich that's perfectly portable and better than what you'd get from a Subway or Quizno, 3.5 stars. So I'm really looking forward to my next visit, if I can just only shake that image of my dog out of my head. One thing for sure, I'm not ordering ANY Baguettaboutit sandwiches with alfredo sauce, guaranteed...
