I gave this location THREE chances to meet basic mediocre needs of a customer. They continually fail at the following.... 1. A clean glass for water (free of debris or lipgloss). 2. A fork with no residual food left on it. The first time I thought (ehhh it happens) and didn't mention it to any employees, the second time I mentioned it to the waitress who told the manager.... her resolution was to replace our silverware and put our waters in to-go cups (that sufficed for me), but today.... the third time my water cup has dried on food or pulp or Lord knows what on it - NOPE. This place is just dirty, and does not pay attention to cleanliness which is the MOST important thing in any food establishment. read more

My husband and I come here often, however our recent visit was different. Service started off okay, it wasn't until our food came and our waitress spilled a drink meant for another table, all over my husband as she was delivering syrup. It's understandable that accidents happen, however to just toss some paper towels on the table and not help clean up around the table is another thing. First Watch is really terrific. Normally I get the ham and guyere omelette with multigrain toast. Today I had the Trifecta and subbed in French toast. The scrambled eggs and pork sausage have a terrific mouthfeel. Soft and velvety! Full of flavor. And the French toast with fruit compote was a decadent treat. The food always seems farm fresh despite this being a chain restaurant. Our server today was Karina. I received a coupon in the mail for a "Buy 1 Entree, Get 1 Free", so of the 7 days out the week, of course, I chose the probably the busiest day to go, Sunday morning. There was a 40-45 min wait and luckily I put myself on the waitlist and stay literally 5 mins away so I came home and chilled until I received my text that our table was ready. Upon arriving, I noticed how the layout was. It felt like folks were sitting on top of one another. If you weren't in a booth and sitting at a table, you were either seating really close to other parties or seated in long rows, similar to community seating. I ordered the Bacado Omelette, which consisted of: Bacon, avocado and Monterey Jack. Topped with sour cream and served with a side of housemade Pico de gallo. Slightly disappointed in the lack of avocado that was served in this dish. Other than that, I was satisfied. Not too sure what was up with the mixed greens on my plate, but a light dressing would have made them more appealing instead of serving them bare with nothing on them. The multi-grain toast was the business. Very thick and fresh. It was difficult for me to finish half of a slice. If you have issues with regularity, eat the toast...you will have a quick relief momentarily. The Belgian waffle....I must say, was one of the best I have ever had. It wasn't over greased in cooking oil or drowned in butter. It was very light. The size was the pretty normal. The price....wasn't...$8 for one Belgian waffle is kind of steep. I did split it with my guest. The warm, berry compote helped me forget about how much it was for about 5 mins. Delicious topping, both sweet and slightly tart, equal balance of both. My guest and I ordered fresh coffee and a Kale Tonic-Kale, Fuji apple, cucumber and lemon prior to our meals coming out, so by the time the meals did appear, we were half way done drinking them. No water was offered. Service was mediocre, we were checked on twice, however, the neglect of offering additional beverages or even noticing that we were in need of some when our meals arrived and when we finished was slightly neglectful (if that's even a word). I'm glad I had the coupon, otherwise, I wouldn't have visited this place. When I think of a Grand Breakfast, this place wouldn't not be the one I think of first....not even when entertaining out of town guests. It wasn't a bad experience, but I didn't feel like, "Yeah First Watch....I want to go back there again". My appetite was fulfilled, my pocketbook was told another story. read more

You wait to be seated and also pay your bill at the front, which makes it easier to be in and out. Very casual, yet fun and upbeat. There's indoor and outdoor seating and a semi private room that cojld I tried the hash and also the green tea pancakes. Both were outstanding. I think the pancake types rotate depending on the season. I liked their hash because it wasn't salty and it also came with yummy grain bread, compote and fruit. With two eggs on top, it was enough to keep me full and happy until dinner. You can also substitute one of your sides for something else. In one case, we did a sub for the salad, but the order came out wrong. So, the waitress returned and gave us the correct side. I came to First Watch with my hair stylist after he suggested grabbing brunch after doing my hair. Uhm, duh. You're talking to a millennial; you know we love our brunch! It took me a while to get the name right. It didn't immediately stick with me. We had maybe a 20-25 minute wait (which makes sense as it was a Saturday morning/afternoon). I even came across another Yelp Elite there dining! I ordered Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and boy was it delicious. The egg was cooked perfectly! My friend had the blueberry pancake. And even though it was just one pancake, it was HUGE! Almost bigger than the dang plate! And that pancake was absolutely perfect, too. Crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Delish! I will preface by saying this was a to-go order. 5 stars for great food, ok portions, yet a high price point. We've eaten to-go from First Watch twice now, and we've gotten a few different thing each time. All of the food totally held up and traveled well to our home where we dug in. Multigrain pancakes: incredibly fluffy, light, and flavorful! We got them with blueberries, and they are decently-sized as well. Two people could split them if they each had an entree. They are arguably better than Magnolia, which I know are highly sought after. Biscuits and gravy: I wish the pieces of sausage in the gravy were bigger, but it's a rich gravy that's not too salty. Depending where you fall on the biscuit spectrum, you may not be a fan of drop biscuits. Their drop biscuits are moist, and not overworked. Sometimes you get a biscuit that's too doughy; not these. Elote Mexican street corn hash: the tortillas were thin and overly crispy in some areas, which wasn't enjoyable. The dish base consisted of potatoes and chorizo, and there was a lack of corn flavor from the dish. The cotija flavor was also muted. I've not experienced their servers, interior atmosphere, not or anything associated with dining on premises, but I can say that despite some of hiccups in our order, THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS. read more

As for the price, it was very affordable in comparison to the quality of food that you get. You could tell that nothing was coming from the freezer. The fruit was juicy and crunchy and as fresh as you can imagine. Now the one negative thing I have to mention about this is they don't allow any weapons inside their restaurant. Their signage may not be legal. I say may not because I have not done the research to pull the information and see if it is or not. The pictures will show you what I am talking about. I know that the signs should be visible at eye level and it should be clear. When you see the pictures you'll see what I'm talking about. I've been to a couple First Watch locations but this one the service was lacking. I'm not sure if they were short staffed or what was going on but there was a 45 minute wait on a weekday with open tables. We weren't in a hurry so the wait was fine but then it took forever for service and the wait between our server coming by was long too. I had ordered an additional drink and it probably took an additional 25 minutes. The server was nice so that helped a bit. As to the food, it was on point. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Bloody Mary. I know the juice is fresh so that was probably why it was so different but it was like drinking a tomato. Very pulpy and sweet. Too sweet for a typical Bloody Mary so not a drink I'd order again. Overall, it was just an okay experience. read more
