My mango marg. Was really disappointing especially coming from San Antonio where our culture bleeds good tequila drinks. It was pure sickingly sweet syrup. Not only was the alcohol buried somewhere, it was thick, cheap syrup that stuck to the top of ur mouth. I had to order extra shots to thin out the diabetic swamp I was stuck in to thin it out. Our waiter was patient and did a excellent job at making this right. I can only imagine the rest of the specialty drinks would have the same pitfalls though. The honey butter croissants would be good if warm and the chips that came with the appetizer dip were cold and stale. The cheese bits were motzarella sticks but fluffier without so much block cheese which I like. The spinach dip is gluey and would be better with artichoke to thin it out. The queso is probably Velveeta. If that's something u like great. For me, I don't eat at a restraint for that. I dig rat chedder or queso fresca but this is a American chain not a San Antonio gem so I guess that is to be expected. The cheese broccoli rice is not to be missed. That is great. I wish I had remembered that when I went this last time. Oh well. My table was like warm in our feelings about this experience. Just don't be a foodie and go there. The general population will like it. I give it two stars. General pop might give it three or four. I'm officially done with this location! I've only ever ordered to-go, so this time around, I wanted to see if my food would be different if I actually dined in. Nope! I ordered my usual beer battered shrimp platter with the broccoli cheese casserole and southern green beans. The shrimp could have definitely been fried a bit longer. I was kind of scared to eat them, because they didn't look fully cooked. The broccoli wasn't even room temperature and the only reason the green beans were hot, is because they initially forgot I ordered them and brought them out once I asked about them. The only saving grace for my experience was the server. She was extremely helpful and made sure to check in with the table. Had a 9 yr old with us and was seated in bar booth. Was freezing cold and air conditioning dripped on table and in drinks so moved to Another table that was even colder air. Ran out of entree ordered so changed the order. Waiter turned into barkeep so glad we had a few hours to celebrate with daughter and granddaughter. Dessert was the best. Coffee was either broken or not available at location. Did I mention we were freezing. When leaving you could feel the warmth in regular seating area. We went in and had great service at cheddars at the 410 location. Have been out to the Selma location and gotten bad service. But was pleasantly surprised by the 410 location. My wife had the Cajun Chicken bowl. And she said it was one of the best new items they added. I went with the classic CFS and the yummy broccoli casserole. Of course we enjoyed the croissants and I like their chips and salsa but my wife says the salsa is too sweet. Will definitely be going back. The place is clean and service was good. Food was good. Mmmkay, again, we will live. Promised croissants never materialized. The entree was okay. Minimal flavor. Mine was all cole slaw and my friends was mostly cheese. Asked for extra buffalo sauce (what - I always do - leave me alone) but it was gross. Why fix what isn't broken? It had a smoke flavor which is NOT traditional buffalo. Stop it. I'll keep it plain and simple: my mother got the Santa Fe chicken and it was cold so it had to be heated up, my sister got the monte cristo and it still had raw batter in it so it had to be completely remade. They did "fix" it but after the new monte hit the table, the batter had a shrimp fried into it! However, Cheddar's is my husband's favorite restaurant so after at least a year of refusing to go, we came in for lunch. It was packed at 1pm but we were sat within 15 minutes and greeted immediately. Our waitress Alera was amazing. She was patient with all my questions and very friendly and quick. Soon our food arrived and my Wife's Salad with a Nice Size slice of Chicken on top of what looks like a Pound of Shredded Cheeses with a nice size bowl of Ranch. She said is was Delicious with the Chicken being Just Right and can't get over on how much Cheese is in there. Those Glazed Pecan had a Tastylicious Crunch to them - I had some also and they were really good. My Chicken Pot Pie was served Hot with Steam coming out of the slits on top of the Golden Brown Flaky Crust - which tasted really good. Inside was Thick & Creamy with lots of Chicken - all in a Really Nice Size Bowl. I Love Red Beans & Rice and this did not disappoint - it had some Heat to it that really warmed the tummy. 46 years of living and I have NEVER been served food with a roach in it. I notified the waitress and she refused to look at it because she was "afraid". Hmmm... how do you think I feel? You literally delivered the food with the bug in it! The manager offered an apology but was more curious about if the bug was found in the location pictured. Upon arrival, hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant extremely clean there was ample parking and they had a full house. I purchased a fried catfish with baked potato, and it was absolutely amazing and I was in all at the serving size versus the price, it really must be true things are truly larger in Texas! My daughter ordered a sirloin steak and requested medium well. It came out rare. When they sent it back, instead of cooking the existing steak, they cooked up a fresh one and still did not get it right.
