I haven't eaten at First Watch in a couple of years. We stopped here on our way to the airport for a quick breakfast. I was happy to see Barbacoa back on the menu so I ordered the Barbacoa breakfast tocos. What a sad disappointment! Out of the 3 tacos combined there may have been 1 oz of meat. It was basically egg tocos. I should have taken pictures. I should have sent it back... posting this and never returning is my only recourse. We were eager to come visit. The first time we were at a First Watch was before my wife and I started dating, we've been married 38 years. The wife went for the double bacon hash and thought it was quite good. I went for the biscuit and sausage gravy, it was well flavored with more sausage than many, something I appreciated. I splurged on their million dollar bacon. I thought it was a good flavor, disappointed that it wasn't crispy. I liked the heat, the wife thought it was hotter than she preferred. I like the website letting me add my name to the wait-list as we were driving in. The reason í an only giving it 4 stars is that our server vanished for a while once our food was delivered. I love coming here for breakfast! I'm typically the early bird and it's nice and quiet in the restaurant. However, today was a late start to breakfast. Yes, it was packed on a Saturday morning. (No surprise there) But their food was calling me to come either way. It was crowded, and they were short staffed by 5 people, and yet I had a great experience either way. Goran was our server. He had such a warm and welcoming personality. In the midst of the hustle and bustle, he didn't make us feel rushed and he didn't look flustered. I appreciated his excellent attitude and customer service. Thank you Goran! The food was still top-notch quality and there was no long wait for our plates to come out. My favorite plate is the Morning Market Veg. I have a dairy allergy, so I omit the cheese on the omelette. I also am blessed to have a gluten allergy as well, so I order the GF toast with no butter. I love that the seasoned potatoes are fresh made without those 2 allergens. Yay me!! It's hard to find that in most breakfast establishments. Did I mention that they do not charge extra for the GF toast? (Why wouldn't you want to come here?) I don't feel like I'm being penalized for having an allergy or two. I also ventured out to try their Morning Meditation juice. We ordered it with no ice since it's super chilly today. I was not let down by the flavor. We were so excited to try First Watch for the first time! Service was quick-- maybe too quick. Our server, Brookelynn, stopped by our table one time to take our order, someone else brought our food, then she came and placed the check on our table. She did not check on us at all after this and I had to ask another server to get my drink refilled. As far as food goes, I'd give it a 5 or 6/10. My friend got the smoked salmon Benedict but the salmon was way too fishy. The iced coffee is premade (if you are dairy free, good luck; no substitutions). Prices were fair(ish), if you really want a bang for your buck and top-tier service, Kerby Lane would be a much better option. Not trying to be picky, however, I am also a server and would feel guilty for not checking on my tables. Overall, I would never come back and spend my money at First Watch. read more

Service is fast and efficient and I love that they offer turkey sausage, gravy, and turkey sausage with their meals for those that don't eat pork. Eggs are always cooked to perfection. BUT BUT BUT I used it to book the last time that we came here, and it worked well, but I went to their website and couldn't find it today. Huummm Ok, I was told a 30 min wait upon arrival. I asked the hostess if she could show me where the link was on the website to join the waitlist. She went to the website, and was unsuccessful. There were three young hostesses. All 3 tried to find how to get on the waiting list. All 3 failed. And, they were speedy with their typing, and tech competent. Finally, after 5 minutes, one hostess googled "First Watch" and "waitlist". That worked. I was so frustrated. Then, we were finally seated, a wonderful server, Alexis, took our order. Let me start by saying "WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD!" I've watched this location get built from the ground up and it was so exciting to be part of the "Friends and Family" pre-opening. For two days, locals who RSVP'd had the opportunity to participate in a pre-opening event designed to help the staff practice and work out any kinks before the official opening. In exchange for being practice customers, we enjoyed a free complimentary meal on the house for up to 4 people. Each of us was allowed one entrée, one side, specialty bacon for the table, and two drink selections. And let me tell you what: The food was delicious. I can't believe we got such good quality food practically for free, and I am here to tell you that once this place opens officially, you're gonna love it. Chocolate Chip Pancake w Turkey Sausage Million Dollar Bacon Cheesy Grits Elevated Egg Sandwich Fresh Fruit Cup Was the choice for me and my little baby niece. The chocolate chip pancake was huge and super packed full of chocolate chips. The dough itself was a little on the drier side as I'm used to pancakes being super moist, but I'm sure they'll work this out as time goes on. The tasty turkey sausage patty accompanying the pancake was pretty sizable...juicy delicious and not very salty or spicy, which I personally liked. A gentle, juicy sausage patty without overkill. You can choose among several types of sausage, and this is the one we chose. Million Dollar Bacon is MONEY. This is going to be a hit with many people. Crispy strips of bacon broiled in maple syrup with a generous hit of cracked pepper. It checked off all boxes for me. The elevated egg sandwich was my second favorite after Million Dollar Bacon. Soft brioche, crispy bacon, avocado, over easy egg, some sort of creamy spread and a salad mix. It is everything I love in a breakfast sandwich. The over easy egg was a little too done, probably because I let it sit in its own heat for a while before trying it, but this sandwich was good and will be a nice choice for breakfast sandwich lovers. Equal parts soft, crunchy, eggy and fresh. All textures coming at you. The cheesy grits were a bit different. I am used to finely ground grits and these were coarsely ground, almost resembling a chunky sweet corn masa/sweet corn tamale in texture. The grits were chunky, sweet and cheesy instead of finely ground and salty. They were good but not what I expected. Try them and see if you like them. Fresh fruit. Refreshing sweet tea. And the kindest staff ever! I hope that it wasn't just for the opening. I hope the staff will always remain kind. Cause the service was off the charts for the opening. Such a beautiful and BIG/roomy location. Industrial like in design with touches of a country home, I loved the interior. We walked in, the hostess took my name and phone number and proceeded to seat my family and I. 10 minutes later, I received a text for us to head to the host to be seated. 5 minutes later, received a text that we will hold your spot for 2 minutes. Another 5 minutes later, we're sorry to have missed you. My family and I are enjoying our breakfast and getting these annoying texts. Now that is out of the way and onto the food and service. The service we received from Krystina was excellent, always on top of our order and checking that the food met expectations during our visit.
