First watch was right by our hotel. Our breakfast was very good! If you order coffee they bring you a pot and leave it on your table. It had 3 cups in it witch was perfect. The sugar and single serving of creams (flavored ones also) are on each table. I had a bacon and cheese omelette with potatoes. Nice portion size. My husband had a special fall sandwich. Have stopped off her to eat breakfast many times. Staff are always wonderful and courteous. Great menu full of fresh traditional breakfast dishes that will fill you up! Friendly male server who also greeted us at the door. He has the skill set for this industry. The coffee was served with a pot on the table for refills. Problem is, the coffee was cold, so I imagine they rotate these after a guest leaves, it gets used at the next table. We ended up with a pot with little in it and room temp. Pesto quinoa bowl -- very tasty. The combination of pesto, chicken, spinach and spices, cheeses etc make it just right. Really thought I was taking a chance but glad I picked it from the menu. The quinoa is not grassy tasting, but the white quinoa flavored by the feta and the sun-dried tomatoes. Very nice. Much better than it sounds when you read the menu. I don't like tomato soup, but I love theirs. It is delicious. I also recommend the havarti and ham sandwich. I've eaten at several of these restaurants, and all are clean with delightful food. Our favorite server is Desmond at the one near Destin. read more

First Watch has brought a taste of Florida to Cincinnati for over 35 years. It was great to experience the food in its native Florida. The service was friendly and the food was great. On vacation, we generally avoid chains that we can enjoy back in Ohio but made a valid exception for this one. read more

Asked for a hot drink and server laughed in my face and started laughing and telling his other employees right in front of me. It's literally a CAFE. Like it was a stretch to ask for a latte. I have anxiety and going into the shop myself was something I had to psych myself up to do and then I was made fun of. I felt so embarrassed and targeted. I just had breakfast at first watch. The food was good and the staff was friendly however there was an issue with bugs. The first time I just sent my food back. They remade it but I had a bug in my coffee and my other plate of food too. I let the server know and asked for my check. I was still charged for my meal !!!! First Watch just opened its doors and we are glad to have them in Santa Rosa Beach! Clean and open concept with small comforts that makes this cafe unique like a carafe of coffee that supports Project Sunrise and tall glass jar of water. The menu has carefully prepared options of gluten free bread, chorizo and cajun chicken tacos, huge pancakes with berries and bacon avocado, and cheese omelettes with seasoned potatoes. Next time I'm going to try one of the hash dishes! The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because the service was slow (I expect this will get better over time), the greens on the side of my plate of eggs benedict needed more flavor in the dressing- I'm not a fan of just chewing lettuce with oil. It was extraordinary busy on a Sunday morning and she pulled through with top tier hospitality. I had biscuits and gravy with eggs and grits which were stupendous. I've been to First Watch in Destin many times and always enjoyed myself. Amazing food and service. This was not the case this morning in the new location. We got hot coffee and empty water glasses within 5 minutes of sitting down. Our server was missing for the next 10 minutes while we asked multiple people for water. Finally got water from another server but it was room temperature. Sitting at the table closest to the server station made this absolutely ridiculous. Ordered "Million Dollar Bacon" and Biscuits and Gravy to start. Bacon came out room temperature and by the time the biscuits came out we had already decided to take the check and get out of this service nightmare. The restaurant was maybe at half capacity otherwise I could maybe understand. I've worked in the service industry for almost 10 years and this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. read more

We visited the Santa Rosa beach location on opening day and were very impressed it was awesome from the start just like the Destin restaurant that we frequent so often! The social distancing was pretty good until check out and another patron was right on our backs!! This week I went in again with our family visiting, we all wore our mask in and were seated and then we took our masks off and things were great until the server arrived with his mask around his chin! I don't understand that!!??? What's up with that?? Why are so many servers wearing their masks like that.?? What's the purpose?? Other than that issue everything was delightful! read more
